Are you a student? If you've been a student for more than 6 months in BC you should qualify to have the procedure covered. Use school resources if you can. If you're not a student harass the shit out of gofundme until you have that cash. I'm just hoping things will turn around for you ♡

i have been actually! and i also checked out this avenue and applied for MSP the other day, but they have a long processing period (3 weeks, give or take) to get on the waitlist for MSP. and i can’t really afford to wait around for maybe a possibility of being waitlisted? because if i don’t get MSP and i miss the 9 week cutoff for a medical abortion, i will have to pay out of pocket for an aspiration, which will be so much more money :’( 

also my school is in the middle of a lawsuit right now lol i will try to ask them though, that’s good advice! i don’t know how well it will go haha 

idk if it somehow turns out that i can get a refund or some institution to pay, i will obviously return the fundraised money to all of my donors, i’m not a pos, but until i find some other solution to this problem, i don’t know what else to do

why do i get the feeling gofundme is about to chince me out of all of these wonderful people’s aid? they won’t even give me a withdrawal date estimate, even though i’ve provided my passport and my address and my phone number. maybe it’s because my deadname is still on all of my legal documentation but i used my new name and last name to set up the fundraiser? i just really did not feel like seeing my deadname everytime i looked at the gofundme, but maybe i just should have.. :/

i realize you're probably getting like 15 messages a day about this but it's really easy to access free/extremely subsidized abortion in canada, ive done it twice in different provinces, call your local planned parenthood (or their branch off) or sexual crisis centre (they can help even if it's just a failed IUD), just in case !

i have not had such luck, i am not under MSP, so I can’t access it for free unfortunately. :( i did call and they said they can offer a payment plan, but that was all..

Hey, your post for help made its way to my dash. Not sure what province you are in, but I found a FAQ on TeenHealthSource and ActionCanadaASHR that mention Mifegymiso being covered fully in some of the country. Without coverage it looks like a pack costs between $300-$450. Wishing you well!

in BC, it is more than that. my local clinic offers $700 medical abortions, the one in Vancouver offers $785 medical abortions. it’s sad, i was not expecting it to be so much :( and wishing you well toO!
