Seven half-bloods shall answer the call
To storm or fire the world must fall
An oath to make with final breath
And foes bear arms to the doors of death
There's one aspect of Sally's abuse that's frequently overlooked, and I understand why because it's fucking disgusting but I also can't stop thinking about it.
Sally and Gabe were married. Did she have to do, you know, married people things with him? Or if not, how hard was it to get out of it? Did he push?
I've read most of Why Does He Do That? (amazing book about the psychology of abusers) and one of the things mentioned is that a lot of abusive men are actually pretty good in bed, because of possessiveness or pride or what have you - which is why, I think, sexual trauma is not necessarily part of the 'usual/expected' profile of a battered woman. But Gabe is, uh, repulsive, so that's right out.
I like to think, personally, that his dick just didn't work very well, and his drive wasn't high enough to push the issue. He wanted other things out of her, you know? He wanted her to cook and clean and work, and maybe sex just wasn't a priority for him.
Still, the possibility is there, and it would affect Sally pretty strongly and in a lot of ways, some of them conspicuous to someone as close to her as Percy. So I wonder.
......So the new pjo book is conveniently set in the part of the timeline I was going to do this in.....
Thinking of doing a chb series where eachday is like a diary entry from a different half blood. E.g day one could be Percy and then day two could be leo or smth like that. what y'all wanna see?

I headcannon that Will is a massive heartstopper fan and when the show comes to netflix he forces Nico to watch it with him and although he doesn't admit it Nico secretly really likes it
So i finally watched the second movie over the weekend and it was a train wreck. The ending had me practically yelling at the TV "THAT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN UNTIL BOOK 5". I enjoyed seeing Percy's interactions with Clarisse and am glad they finally acknowledged Thalia but the ending felt weird as they half did the ending of the last olympian but also left it open for more movies. The other thing is, Riptide is not the fricking cursed blade. I'd say all together regarding movies i preferred lightning thief over seas of monsters
I started watching the Percy Jackson movies and here's the thing, Logan Lerman was a really good Percy he just had a bad script to work with and was the wrong age. Alexandra Daddario would've been a great Annabeth but Rick Riordan himself said that he made Annabeth blonde to defeat the stereotype of dumb blondes and, like Logan Lerman, she was the wrong age. Yes the movies are inaccurate and the scriptwriters are at fault for that but I still enjoyed some of it *cough* Percy using an iPod to defeat medusa *cough* and Catherine Keener was exactly how I imagined Sally Jackson while reading the books
