hi!! i have some news regarding cinda williams chima’s new book coming out fall 2022.

from what i can gather, it’s about Norse witches in the time right after Ragnarok. there isnt much information on that besides the fact that its fantasy and we won’t get any additional info any time soon.

regarding the world of the seven realms, she expressed that she hasnt completely overturned the idea of writing more in that world, but she has stated she would like to focus on a different series for now. maybe someday in the future we’ll see more of our favorite characters!!

thats really all i know, but if anyone has anything else that i havent included, feel free to either reblog it with the info, comment it, or dm it to me so i can do it!!

forgot to post this yesterday, but oh well

au-gust day 2, exotic vacation!!

there are too many characters to say what they do individually so im just gonna say this:

they take a trip to each realm (+ carthis) and go to the best vacation spot, rate it, argue amongst each other over soap and bathroom turns, and do it all over again at the next one. its a great time for seeing the world and shit but if someone brings up the amount of space they have, an all out war immediately starts and doesnt stop until midnight (most of the time). still, they enjoy doing it since it gives them some time away from their duties and “relax,” even if they are arguing half the time lol.

yo this is for au-gust, im gonna use the prompt list for a series of headcanons cuz i just came out of a month if writing for camp nanowrimo and drawing takes time i dont want to use

anyway, first up is ancient gods!

now, idk if it means pre-existing gods or not, but im gonna make them up as i please because im tired

this list only includes the most prominent characters of the seven realms and shattered realms series respectively

seven realms characters

raisa - goddess of courage, leadership, and power; shes the most baddass one out of all of them and thats not just because i love her

han - god of opportunity and commerce; if you have a dream you want to pursue or a goal to achieve, hes the god you pray to

amon - god of protection and loyalty; pretty self explanatory, and hes so *strangling motion* ugh, hes like a brick wall that wont move bc hes so stubborn

dancer - god of nature and craftsmanship; hes an excellent artificer, and his attunement to nature is the most prominent of everyone

cat - goddess of thieves and survival; you cannot look me in the eyes and tell me she’d be anything else, she was born and raised on the streets and was taught to survive the hard way, i love her tenacity and strength

micah - god of the headstrong and folly; while i dont like him because of what hes done in the seven realms series, he is a prominent character, so i bestow upon him these domains, those of which being what makes up 90% of his personality, because he was naive to think that was he was doing would ever win raisas affections or turn out good in the long run

shattered realms characters

ash - god of life and death; throughout the series, he walks a fine line between life and death, saving people and killing others in return, so i thought it was fitting

jenna - goddess of fire and fluidity; the first one is easy to figure out, but the second one is because of her changing identity and idea of who she was

destin - god of knowledge and family; theres so much i couldve gone with, but this seemed to fit him the most, as he searched for the truth in everything and his family played an important part in his story, even the part where he killed his father bc that shows that blood does not excuse the abuse given to a person

evan - god of weather and change; not to be confused with jennas fluidity, evans change represents the unexpected in life, such as sudden bad weather at sea, or an illness striking a loved one

breon - god of music and memory; his music is a part of who he is as a person, and his ability to grasp hold of a persons song lets him see into who that person is, looking deep inside their memory and subconscious to see the person within

sasha - goddess of forgiveness and sincerity; theres already a god of protection and loyalty, so i looked at her other traits, and found she is one of the most forgiving people in the series surprisingly, and shes sincere in all she says and does without a word or action betraying her nature

hal - god of justice and candor; whenever he learned of an injustice or saw through a lie, he delivered a quick penance and changed the system to make sure no one would make the same mistakes of their predecessors again

lyss - goddess of cunning and necessity; shes one of the smartest characters in the series, and she does whatever needs doing, even if she doesnt like what it is or completely agreed with it, because she knew it needed to be done

My favorite head canon for them is that Evan is basically super clingy. Like he’ll just randomly sit in Destin’s lap, or keep any sort of physical connection with him. I just find it so soft, and I love the image of Destin carding his fingers through Evan’s hair... 🥺 I just have some feelings.
