He swears it was upon eyes locking his world changed. Those eyes, those eyes.. what did they see?

Hunger ? Pain ? Strength? Kindness ? She is uncertain for she was in her element. Careless and wholesome, smiling.

Does this make him a creep? He begins to worry. “Maybe I just need a friend.” He questions the distance in age, his experiences and decided being a mentor would be best. But he’s finding himself enjoying her company.

Her eyes never waver and give him passionate attention, linger on details, asking questions. Her eyes are warm, unlike her hands. Which have occasionally brushed against his in accident . He finds himself wanting to hold them in his, and keep them warm.

“What do I do? What do I do! I’m a fool!” The nights turn in to anguish and conflict. There’s no possibility it would work, and yet he’s still thinking about how tiny she is, and soft. How small her wrists are, fragile almost, like they would break off entirely if he just squeeze hard enough. He’s honestly amazed and yet she doesn’t seek justification.

If he were to call her beautiful, she’d humbly blush and viciously smile with confidence. If he were to say he’s seen many beautiful women, she’d respond that she has too and admires them. Theres no jealousy there, just attraction and he doesn’t know what else to do. Because no woman has truly been that beautiful to him.

She’s surprisingly soft, tender, gentle, patient and understanding. He realizes his doom of being a mentor, when all he dreams of is pulling her on to his lap.
