the discord server!

hey guys, gals, and pals! it’s that time - we’re now opening our discord server. from here on out, we’ll be focusing most of our attention on the server and completing the site itself, so we do prefer that you add any additional reservations in the server. however, we will be checking in on the tumblr occasionally, just in case! we’re so excited to get to know you all and get chatting!!

the mckinnon family!

yo yo! i play beckett mckinnon, and he needs his siblings! the mckinnon’s are a ragtag bunch of halfbloods. both parents are magical but there are plenty of muggles married into the family and probably some squibs here and there, so they’re by no means pure. these siblings aren’t entirely set in stone (especially marlene, as i know she’s very popular and i don’t want to scare people off from playing her!), but here are the ideas i have.

graham mckinnon - 40ish - order/sympathizer - auror/head auror/some kind of badass DMLE career

marlene mckinnon - 38ish - order - career is super open

cole mckinnon - 36/37ish - order - auror/hit wizard/obliviator

beckett mckinnon - 35 - sympathizer - ex-hit wizard

hudson mcckinnon - 35 - sympathizer - healer - deceased

callum mckinnon - 33ish - sympathizer - famous quidditch player

graham is the quintessential older brother. he teams up with marlene to get through sibling fights and make sure everyone stays alive. cole is the golden child who can do no wrong. beckett is wild and selfish, a complete wreck, but hudson balanced him out before his untimely death. callum is a goofball and always in a good mood. 

within the past year or so in character, hudson, beck’s kid owen, the mckinnon parents, and a few other family members, died in a death eater attack meant as retaliation to something that cole did as part of the order. graham survived the attack. marlene and cole were out on a mission with the order when it happened, so they escaped the mess, and callum was on tour with his quidditch team at the time. beck and his ex-wife managed to surive, albeit very injured.

idk i love family dynamics and drama and would love to get some of these characters around, so pls yell at me if you’re interested!! i have tons of face ideas, too, so hmu and i am happy to share. i am also totally open to changing things up? wanna kill off someone else? let’s do it lmao

Is it too early to ask for graphics dimensions?

not at all! these may end up changing a tad, just because the skin isn’t 100% finalized, but here are the graphic sizes we’re looking at.

a 300x450 image for your profile application

a 250x400 avatar

a square gif - minimum size of 75x75

a 450x520 image for the shipper - this resizes, so anything this size or bigger will work

our member directory also includes a square image or gif of your character, but members can easily use the gif they pick for their profile if they don’t want to find or create another!

mulder (me!) is also 150% happy to help anyone out with graphics, so we’ll have a discord channel and/or topic on-site for this, where other staff or members can pitch in to help out. 💕

updates on opening!

hello friends! work on the site is coming along very well, which means it is finally time for us to announce when we’ll be opening the discord server and the site itself. 🥳 

on wednesday, april 22nd, we will be opening our discord server! at that time we’ll begin to focus less on the tumblr and move all buzz, reservations, and other things to the server itself. this will give everyone time to chat, plot, and build up anticipation before we open!

on friday, april 24th, we’ll be opening the site! all reservations from tumblr and the server will carry over to the site, however, they will need to be confirmed within two days of the site opening otherwise they will be forfeit. this will cut down on wait times for popular canons when the player is no longer interested.

if you all have any question for us, please let us know! we’re so excited to get the site open to be able to write and make friends with everyone!! 🎉💃🎊
