why is it always a male character going mad avenging his dead wife and never a female character cradling her dying pure of heart husband in her arms then dragging the whole world down with her
First of all, this is a very clever use of this gif. Secondly, fuck you.
The notes on this are a mess, so here’s the main takeaways if you don’t want to read the whole Snopes article:
These “tips” cannot save your life. Home remedies cannot replace the life-saving interventions available at a hospital (i.e., a ventilator).
Some of the tips are downright dangerous, such as the suggestion that a patient with an on-going covid infection should exercise through exhaustion.
Some of the tips are not necessarily dangerous, but are not backed by medical science. The list of foods to avoid, for example, is largely pseudoscience, as is the recommendation for taking extra vitamins.
Some of the tips can help symptom management, such as using Tylenol as a fever-reducer. However, a random twitter thread getting some things right is not indicative of the entirety of it being sound advice. You wouldn’t spread an infographic on putting out a fire if it included throwing gasoline on it alongside instructions on how to use a fire extinguisher, would you?
Do not take medical advice from random people on Twitter.Especially if it’s “heard from a friend who heard from a nurse.” Don’t base your medical decisions on rumors.
And another point, from yours truly: “no one ever talks about how to treat covid at home” is a blatant lie for clickbait. It’s there to prey on your fear of covid, on any mistrust you have for medical/scientific authorities, and on your frustration that doctors simply do not have answers for a lot of questions about covid yet. It’s there to manipulate you into thinking the OP of the thread is telling you information that “the man” is keeping from you. If you google “how to treat covid at home,” you can find plenty of information from actual medical professionals, including medical schools, the Mayo Clinic, and the CDC (none of which I will link, because then my reply won’t show up in notes, which I hate).
Do you ever start writing something that you’re excited about and that seems like it’s turning out well and that you’re getting eager to share, and then you start typing it up or doing an edit pass and it’s just awful it’s awful its premise is fundamentally flawed and it’s out of character and the prose is clunky and the plot is badly paced and ludicrous and the whole thing is embarrassing, how could you have done this, how could you have sunk so much time into this, you can’t even look at it, how is this that shining thing you were so excited about, how could you even have considered finishing it let alone sharing it with anyone, you’re crying, your mother is crying, nuns are spontaneously exploding in the streets,
reread the WIP I wrote this about and turns out actually it’s fine
not to be emotional on main but fanfiction is a gift and it’s so fundamentally human to tell each other stories and i am deeply grateful to have that in my life. thank you all for adding so much emotion and meaning to the world with your words
Fan fiction has literally kept me sane this year. Y'all, I’m so grateful.
“no i will not elaborate” is such a fun line, but unfortunately i have adhd and am incapable of shutting up. yes i will elaborate
It can take me a solid 5 minutes to answer a question that you would expect answered in 20 seconds because I want to be sure you understand the context.
The final shot is so sweet but the scene as a whole breaks my heart a little bit because Allison so quickly slips back into what I’m sure is a familiar routine where Klaus’s addiction is concerned. Their sibling relationship is so important to me because we see from their childhood how tactile and close they are with one another, I just feel like there is a lot of story here.
Was Maiko one sided ? We saw mai being interested in zuko in flashbacks but did he feel the same way ? Plz answer
You mean when Zuko was making out with Mai? Or when he was extremely happy to see her? Or when he was kissing her again? Or when his biggest regret about joining Aang was leaving Mai behind? Or when he kissed her again?
Reginald’s banishment of Luther is even more fucked up when you consider that this man apparently gathered these kids together specifically to stop this apocalypse that he saw was coming, something that he obviously thought he’d need all of them for, and he still looked at Luther and thought: ya know what, I fucked this one up too much I’m just gonna get rid of him and not send enough food and if he dies…*shrug*
