Starting to get close with Levi, asking him to tell you about this mother.

"Did she look like you? Attractive, silver-blue eyes, soft, dark hair, a little bit longer maybe?" You ask him.

He gulps and nods ever so slightly. "I think so."

You sigh with a small smile.

"Gosh, Levi, she must've been so beautiful."

And just like that, you've inadvertently called Levi beautiful as well.

Thoughts on post-war Levi owning his tea shop right across from the reader's bakery?

They don't know each other, but reader comes in one day during her break and orders some tea before rushing back to her bakery. Levi loves the soft smell of sweets that linger whenever she comes in and he's quick to memorize the way she likes her tea.

His curiosity one day leads him to cross the streat and go into the bakery, and he's suddenly in love with how warm and inviting it all feels. He's very careful with his order. He wouldn't say he's a picky eater— just very particular about his tastes.

The reader's the first to start a conversation, and well, one thing leads to the other and now they always meet up at the same time every day. Levi brings tea. You bring the sweets.

He enjoys every bit of it, though he'd have trouble saying so.♡

Awe! post war Levi. The love of my readers life!

Being someone who doesn't understand tea a lot maybe he could teach reader a thing or two and try different variations until finding something they like.

Same with the bakery, it all smells so good but sweets are something Levi is careful about.

So one night after closing you take a whole tray of different bakery items for Levi to try and he makes multiple cups of different teas and you just spend hours eating, drinking and talking.

Before the night is up you know each others likes and dislikes, and not only about the food.

Since it's late and your shop is locked up you stay in his shop and together clean up all the cups and plates you've used, and he walks you home that evening, and you tell him to call when he's inside as well. He does and he's smiling as you're clearly overtired, but still wanted him to check in.

You call it a night since you both have to open the next day but see each other across the way and smile to one another and Levi points to his new sign, that tells customers if they bring the receipt showing they made a purchase from you that day, they'd get a large tea for the price of a small from him.

Are you swooning yet?! Now it's packed in both your shops and customers wonder if you will do something like that too. On a quick lunch break you run over to his shop to thank him and bring him something since he doesn't usually close. You jump behind the counter and while Levi serves the tea, you get people napkins and tea spoons and start telling them when you open in a short time that if people bring a receipt from Levis shop for buying take home loose leaf tea, that they'll get two muffins for the price of one!

And this man cannot adore you anymore I SWEAR! His sales suddenly go up real quick and while that's great it's YOU making him happiest.

So it continues and you make a sign and everyone is always in your shop and then his, or vice versa depending on what they want for the day. Every week after, you come up with new signs together for specials of the week.

And after closing time you are always bringing over left over sweets while Levi brews the perfect cup of tea for you both, because he knows exactly what you like now, and you get to know each other very well in the corner booth.

It gets to the point that you no longer sit across from each other, but next to each other. Hands no longer resting on the table, but on top of one another's. No need for him to walk you home and check in later, because you're both going to the same place. And maybe, one day, you not only combine your shops for good, but hold your very special ceremony with close friends and family right in the shop just before opening day.

And what do they do with all their winnings?

As the light of a new day peeks through the window, you yawn and blink open your eyes. Smiling you turn to your partner, only to frown instead, finding the bed empty.

Odd, it isn't like you to sleep past him. What time is it anyway?

Just as you turn again to look at the clock you hear shuffling from the hallway and soon he steps into the doorway of the bedroom.

"Morning!" You say cheerfully, removing the blanket, going to get out of bed.

Apparently that is not the plan though, because with his eyes still closed he makes his way to his side of the bed and falls in with a groan.

He is not a morning person.

You smile and shimmy back into bed, stroking his cheek.

"I just had to use the bathroom." He mumbles, sounding like he never woke up.

"Well now that you're awake, I'll go make you breakfast." You say, leaning in to kiss his cheek.

Before you can even turn a strong arm gets hold of you, and you are not going anywhere.

With a tiny laugh you try to pull out of his grip around your body. "Come on now."

He shakes his head and furrows his brow. "No." And his hold tightens.

"No? You don't want breakfast?" You ask softly, kissing his nose playfully.

You don't even get a response, his breathing steadying as he tries to fall back to sleep quickly.

You let out a contented sigh, looking at your lovers relaxed facial features and feeling his body language.

"You can sleep, it's okay, I'll do something else in the meantime until you're ready to get up." You don't mind letting him sleep.

"Just stay." Is his final answer, and with that he tucks you further into his body, assuring you will not be going anywhere.

With a soft chuckle, you don't fight it anymore and snuggle into his chest.

"Okay love, you win." You close your eyes and are soon lulled to sleep by his beating heart.

A tiny smile appears on his lips as you both sleep the morning away.

You both agree that any time you get to spend in each others arms, is something you'd always look forward to.

"Hmm." Your partner sighs and shuts the clothing drawer closed again.

He's just finished showering and is looking for a specific sleep shirt. He wears an extra layer on cool nights like tonight.

Blue, grey and green. He has the loose fitting shirt in three different colors so he always has a clean one.

He knows green got dirty by accident and blue is already in the wash for the weekend, but where is grey?

He could always put on one of the newer ones he got recently, but those are still neatly folded, never used, as his old ones are so comfortable.

He leaves the bedroom a little confused and heads to the living room.

"Hey babe? Have you seen my gr-" He stops immediately when he sees you sitting on the couch.

Turns out you got to it first. The shirt that hangs gently on him, wears almost like a dress on you. It's just reaches your knees and hangs off one shoulder.

"I'm sorry? I didn't hear you?" You say from your spot, looking over at him.

Gosh, you sure are adorable. "Oh uh, my green sleep shirt." He knows exactly where that one is.

"Don't you remember silly? You spilled batter on it making us pancakes." You smile at him.

"Oh, right. I remember, thanks." He'll settle for a new one tonight.

"Wait, were you looking for this one?" You pull the sleeve.

"No, no no. You keep it." You want to wear his shirt? It is yours now.

"You sure? I don't wanna take it if you want it. It's just so, comfy. And, you." You say so sweetly he can almost taste it.

He shuffles over to you and plops on the couch, nestling into you as you wrap your arms around him.

"Don't worry about it. Besides, you know what's mine is yours anyway." You have all of him and he wants it like that.

"I'll do wash tomorrow." You promise, kissing the top of his head.

"Leave if for the weekend. You'll just have to keep me warm." He smiles when you giggle.

"I can do that. Or, what about the new shirts? Gotta break them in sometime." You were there when he bought them.

"True, but, I like the first option better." He kisses your bare shoulder before pulling the sleeve up to cover you better.

"Don't worry, honey, I got you covered." You give a playful look and he grins at your pun.

"I know." He nods, leaning in for a kiss.

He doesn't doubt you for a second.

"I don't wanna get up." You mumble, squeezing your eyes shut.

"Come on, time to get up." Your partner rubs your bare arms, trying to tickle you awake.

"No." You draw out a whine, pushing his arms away and pulling the covers closer to you.

You hear him chuckle and feel his weight shift.

"Alright, I'll let you sleep." He gives in.

Going to stand up he's trapped suddenly by your arms clutching around his waist.

"No, stay." You have a frown and still won't open your eyes.

"You were just pushing me away." He was doing as you asked.

"I wasn't." You try to pull him towards you.

"Love, it's morning. We have things to do. I'll go start."

"It's our day off. Just stay."

You hear him sigh and all the pulling you're doing has you awake now. You open your eyes with a tiny growl and are met by the soft face he makes only for you.

"Okay, okay. You win." As always.

He slides back under the covers and you snuggle close.

"Just a few minutes." He insists.

But, you will not hear of it.

He's full on laughing when you situate yourself fully on top of him so the one way he could move is to move you.

"Is this how it's going to be?" He asks it in a way that is hoping for a yes from you.

You nod, head resting on his chest, wiggling slightly until he wraps his arms around you, kissing your head.

"Good."

Whenever you get the day to yourself together, this happens.

And he always looks forward to it.

After pulling a double shift you're finally home for the night. You can't even think about the fact that you'll have to be up early again to do it over again.

One more day. One more day before the weekend.

"Love, do you want to eat?" Levi asks, coming to sit next to you on the couch.

You sigh and shake your head. "I don't even think I could lift a fork." You're not exaggerating.

"I can spoon feed you." You look over to see Levi smirking slightly.

You smile back. "No, they fed us pretty good today. I'm just so tired." You say with a yawn.

"I'll go run you a bath." Levi leans forward to untie your shoelaces and take off your shoes and socks. That alone makes you feel better.

"I'll fall asleep in the tub." You whine. You just want to go to sleep.

"How about I get in too, and hold you up." Levi takes his shirt off to get ready. He knows you won't want to shower in the morning.

"Mmm. Okay." You lay your head on his shoulder and he kisses your temple.

Soon you're being carried to the bathroom and undressing the rest of the way. Levi steps in first, helps you in as well, and you get comfortable leaning back against him.

He soothingly rubs a washcloth along your arms and areas he can reach in this position, and you mumble words of thanks and love.

Levi can't help but smile at realizing you really are falling asleep, indulging you for a couple minutes.

"Come on, up you go." Levi says softly eventually.

You don't even remember leaving the bathroom, but somehow Levi manages to dry your hair and body and get you into sleepwear and tucked in.

"Good night." He whispers with a kiss, sliding in bed next to you.

"Love you." You're conscious enough to snuggle close to him.

"Love you more." He responses, wondering if he could ever truly explain how deep he feels for you.

But the way he always takes care of you before thinking of himself, you are very much aware.

Do I stay up late to enjoy having alone time knowing I'll be tired the next day, or go to bed and just try again tomorrow?

A new day is here, Levi has slept soundly all night, you comfortably in his arms. Or as he would say of you, his better half.

"Wake up love." He says softly, kissing your forehead, cheek, neck, shoulder.

You wake giggling under his touch, making him smile.

"There you are." He leans down and kisses your lips, heart speeding up with the little noises you make for him.

"It's barely light out." You say sleepily, opening your eyes to find Levi mere inches from your face.

"I couldn't wait any longer. I missed you." He's been up for a while, so captivated watching your sleeping form he doesn't even remember the dawn superseding the twilight.

"You miss me even in your sleep?" You ask with a yawn as he lays his head on your chest. He sighs contently while your hands slowly rub his bare back.

"Even then."
