I am sitting at the Gryffindor table with my friends. I look over at the staff table and see my dad sitting next to Professor Snape. Dumbledore steps in front of his lecture, "Welcome! Welcome! To another year at Hogwarts! Now I'd like to say a few words Before we all become too befuddled by our excellent feast. First, I'm pleased to welcome Professor R.J. Lupin who has kindly consented to fill the posts of Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, well teachers this year. Good luck Professor," He gestures to Dad.

Dad stands up from his seat, while everyone claps. I throw my arm in the air and wave at him, he waves back at me.

"Potter, Lupin," I hear my cousin, Draco Malfoy, say from behind Harry. I know he's my cousin but I haven't told anyone that he is.

Harry and Ron both look back at him.

"Is it true you fainted?" He asks and one of his friends fake faints. "I mean actually fainted?"

"Shove off, Malfoy," Ron says then pushes Harry away from Draco.

"Hey, don't be such a dick, Draco," I chastise him.

"Just forget it," Hermione states.

"As some of you may know, Professor Kettleburn, our Care of Magical Creatures teacher for many years has decided to retire," Dumbledore continues, "in order to spend more time with his remaining limbs. Fortunately, I'm delighted to announce that his place will be taken by none other than our own Rubeus Hagrid." Dumbledore gestures to Hagrid.

Everyone starts clapping, Professor McGonagall nudges Hagrid and he stands up, moving the table a few feet.

"Finally on a more disquieting note... at the request of the Ministry of Magic, Hogwarts will, until further notice, play host to the Dementors of Azkaban until such a time as Sirius Black is captured. The Dementors will be stationed at every entrance to the grounds. Now whilst I've been assured that their presence will not disrupt our day-to-day activities, a word of caution: Dementors are vicious creatures. They'll not distinguish between the one they hunt and the one that gets in their way. Therefore I must warn each and every one of you to give them no reason to harm you. It is not in the nature of a Dementor to be forgiving. But know, happiness can be found even in the darkest of times... if one only remembers to turn on the light." He waves his hand in front of a candle and it ignites. "Let the feast begin!"

Food appears on the table and Ron is the first person to grab a chicken leg, well five actually.

After the feast is over everyone heads to their houses. Seamus Finnigan runs up the steps, in front of all the Gryffindors, towards the painting of the Fat Lady that is the entrance to the Gryffindor common room. The Fat Lady is singing, seemingly trying to break a glass with her voices

"Fortuna Major," Seamus says to the Fat Lady.

The Fat Lady holds out her hand to silence him and continues.

Seamus turns around to look at everyone, "Here, listen. She just won't let me in.

Harry steps forward, "Fortuna Major."

"No, no. Wait, wait. Watch this," The Fat Lady says then continues her obnoxious singing. She stops and starts screaming. Several people, including me, cover their ears along with people in other paintings surrounding the Fat Lady. She hits the glass on the wall, breaking it, then stops screaming. She gasps, "Amazing! Just with my voice!"

"Fortuna Major," Harry repeats.

"Yes, alright, " Says the Fat Lady, "Go in." Then the painting opens.

"Thank you," Harry says then leads everyone inside the common room. "She's nuts, still doing it after three years."

"She can't even sing," Harry and Seamus say in unison, "Exactly!"

A ghost walks into the common room from the stair and goes right through Dean Thomas. Dean groans in disgust.

Me and all the other girls in my year–Hermione, Parvati, and Lavender–walk upstairs to my year's girls' dorms.

I plop down on my bed, then sit up, "Now what?" You ask the girls.

"I think we should go to bed," Hermione answers. "We have classes tomorrow."

"Well that's no fun," I say then let myself fall down onto the bed.

I get back up again to change into my pajamas and then get into bed. "Good night, everyone," I say before laying down.

"Good night," The three other girls say before Hermione turns the lights off.

Additional information: AU where Remus is trans (AFAB). The reader dresses grungey in the story cuz it's the 90s so why not, I also love the grunge aesthetic. I have also made a playlist for this story. Ron and Y/n were introduced to each other when they were young and became best friends. Y/n is also really close to Fred and George and likes to prank people with them. I'm probably going to put the clothes that Y/n is wearing at the top but if that gets annoying just tell me pls. I'm also going to put this on Wattpad. I'm also going to come up with weird title because Y/n is the daughter of Wolfstar so I makes sense.

"Here, this one is empty," Hermione says as the four of us walk through the Hogwarts Express, trying to find a seat.

"Good," Harry says as all of us step into the cabin. He closes the door, "I have something to tell you."

"What is it, Harry?" Hermione asks.

"You guys have heard of Sirius Black, right?" Harry questions.

"Yeah," Hermione, Ron, and I say simultaneously.

I know that Sirius is my dad but with everything that goes around about him, my other dad told me to never tell anyone that Sirius is my dad, or at least until I am out of Hogwarts. I feel like I know almost everything about him, my dad talks about him so often.

"Ron's dad told me that Black was the one who sold my parents to Voldemort. He said that he's broke out of Azkaban to kill me," Harry explains.

"Well, then we won't let that happen," I tell him.

"Thank you," Harry says to me and smiles.

I smile back, "You're welcome." I grab my Army green canvas sling bag that my dad gave me before I started my first year, and put a never-ending charm on it. I reach into the bag and grab my Discman. "Music?"

"Sure," Ron replies. I already had the Nevermind disc in it so I just pressed play. Smells Like Teen Spirit starts playing. The four of us talk about our summer while Nirvana plays in the background. After the album is finished I switch it to Metallica, and after that, to August and Everything After. Mr. Jones starts playing then the train comes to a sudden stop with a violent jolt. Everything gets cold, the window gets very frosty, and the lights go out. The music starts cutting out and then shuts off.

A hand grabs the door and pushes it open, a huge hooded creature appears in the doorway. Fear falls over me, it feels like I'll never be cheerful again. It goes to Harry, he starts shaking like he was having a seizure.

The creature hovers over to me, everything around me goes quiet, then that silence is filled with barely coherent screaming. The words become clearer it sounds like “NO! SIRIUS! HE’S INNOCENT! NO! I NEED HIM! SIRI!” Then everything goes black and silent again.

I don’t know how long I was out but when I woke up Harry was also waking up. Harry picks up his glasses off of the seat and we both sit up. I look up to see my father, Remus Lupin, kneeling in front of me.

"Are you all right, pup?" He asks while holding my face.

I nod, “Yeah, all right.”

Dad pulls me into a near bone-crushing hug, “I’m glad you’re all right.” He pulls away from the embrace and kissed my forehead.

Dad grabs some chocolate out of his pocket and hands Harry and me a piece of it, "Here, eat this. It'll help. It's alright, it's chocolate."

Harry sits upright and takes the piece of chocolate from my dad, "What was that thing?"

"A dementor," Dad explains, "one of the guards of Azkaban. It's gone now. They're searching the train for Sirius Black. Now if you'll excuse me I need to have a little word with the driver."

"Can I go with you?" I ask him as I finish the chocolate that he previously gave me.

"No I want you to stay here, please," He tells me then sets the rest of the chocolate on the seat between me and Harry

I nod, "Okay, dad."

Dad turns to Harry, "Eat, you'll feel better." He closes the door and then walks away.

"Y/n, what is your dad doing here?" Hermione asks.

"He is the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher," I tell her.

"That explains a lot," She states. "Who is your mom? If you don't mind me asking."

"Um..." I start but stop and think of how I am going to explain it. "Technically... that is my mom. He's trans and doesn't like being associated with feminine things very much, so he prefers me calling him dad rather than mom."

"Oh, who's your other dad?" She asks,

"It's not important," I answer.

"Oh, I didn't know. I'm sorry," She apologizes.

"It's alright," I say, "It doesn't matter, I can't even remember him, I haven't seen him in twelve years."

"That's even worse," Ron mutters.

"Well at least he's not dead," Harry says, "Or is he?"

"No, he's not dead," I respond.

Gala (Theseus x Reader)

Request/Description: "Hi I would like to request a one shot with Theseus where reader is dating him but they were very lowkey about it and he ask her to accompany him to a dance/gala the ministry is hosting and she doesn’t want to go because she is not in a high rank like him and doesn’t come from a entirely pure blood family and she fear judgement.There is a fight because he thinks that she isn’t serious about the relationship(?) but they make up and idk I would like the ending in fluff"

A/n: it's a little shorter that I was hoping for but I couldn't think of anything else to add. I hope that you like it.

Pairing: Theseus Scamander x Reader

Warnings: verbal fighting

You just got home from work. Usually, you and Theseus get home at the same time, given that you both work for the ministry. Sure the two of you haven't actually been living together for very long to really know what time the other gets on a normal basis but for the last two weeks, you've both got home at the same time.

You make your way to the kitchen to start making dinner, it wasn't until about fifteen minutes after you finished cooking that Theseus got home. You hear the door close and walk into the living room, where the front door is located.

You see Theseus holding a box, he smiles at you, "Hello."

"Hi, Thes, whatcha got there?" You ask him.

"A present," He responds.

"And for whom is this present?" You question.

"For you, of course, my love," He answers before handing you the box.

You grab the box and take it to the dining room table. You set the box down and start unwrapping it. Once the wrapping paper was off you open the box to reveal a yellow floral dress. You look up at Theseus, "It's beautiful, Thes."

"I was hoping you would wear it to the gala," Theseus says with a soft smile.

"Theseus..." You trail off before continuing your sentence, "You know I don't go to that."

"Please," Theseus pleads, "I just thought that it would be a good opportunity to show that we're in a relationship."

"Look, Theseus-" You start but get cut off.

"I guess if you're not serious about our relationship then I guess you don't have to go." Theseus snaps.

"Why are you jumping to conclusions?" You ask, raising your voice a bit. "That is not why I don't want to go. If I wasn't serious about our relationship I wouldn't have moved in with you."

"Then why don't you want to go?" He asks in a near whisper with his eyebrows furrowed.

"I don't belong there," You tell him. "It's for all the high rank ministry officials. I'm not one of those."

"Maybe not, you might belong there," Theseus says. "But you belong at my side and me at yours. We're in this together and I want you with me. If still don't want to go that's okay but I want you to know that I love you and I want nothing more than for you to be comfortable."

At this point you were tearing up a little bit, you feel a tear fall down your cheek.

"Love, don't cry," Theseus speaks softly as he wipes the tears off of your face then pulls you into his chest and kisses the top of your head.

"I'll go with you," You tell him as you pull away from the embrace.

"Really? You don't have to if you don't want to," Theseus tells you.

"I want to now, Thes, you changed my mind," You say.

Theseus smiles down at you, "Thank you, darling."

The gala is in two weeks and those two weeks seemed to fly by rather quickly. It's now Friday night and the gala starts in thirty minutes.

You just finished fixing your hair. Then put your dress on but you can't get the back buttoned on your own. You walk into the living room where Theseus is.

"Hello, love," He greets you, "Are you ready?"

"Almost," You respond, "Will you button the back on my dress?"

"Of course," He responds. You turn around so that he can button your dress. After your dress if fully buttoned he turns you around. "You look beautiful."

"And you look handsome," You tell him with a soft smile.

He smiles back then presses his lips to yours.

You and Newt walk through the bustle of New York City holding on to each other's hand. You approach a group of people crowded around a woman who is speaking.

"This great city sparkles with the jewels of man's inventions," The woman promulgates. "Movie theaters, automobiles, the wireless, electric lights, all dazzle and bewitch up."

You and Newt make your way through the crowd. He accidentally bumps into a woman eating a hotdog.

"I'm so sorry," Newt apologizes to her.

"But where there is light there is shadow, friend," The woman who is lecturing the group says. "Something is stalking our city, wreaking destruction, and then disappearing without a trace! We have to fight. join us, the Second Salemers, in our fight."

"Excuse me, doll," You hear a voice behind you, you look back to see a man pushing passed the woman eating a hotdog. "I'm just trying to get to the bank."

"We have to fight together," The lecturing woman speaks. "For the sake of our..."

"Excuse me," The man, who's just trying to get to the bank says then trips over your's and Newt's suitcase. "Hey! Watch it!"

"So sorry," Newt apologizes, "My case."

"Are you alright, sir?" You ask the man as he stands up.

"Yeah, no harm done." He turns and walks away.

"You, friends," The woman who was speaking to the group directs her attention to you and Newt. "What drew you to our meeting today?"

"Oh, we were just passing," You answer.

"Are you a seeker? A seeker after truth?" She asks.

"I'm a seeker," You respond but meaning it in a different way. You were the Gryffindor seeker for most of your years at Hogwarts.

"I'm more of a chaser, really," Newt answers at the same time that you did. He also played quidditch, he was one of the Hufflepuff chasers.

"And heed my warning," The woman continues her lecture. "And laugh is you dare. Witches live among us. We have to tight together for the sake of our children. For the sake of tomorrow. What do you say to that, friends?"

You look up to see a glimpse of what looks like Teddy stealing a man's hat that is full of coins.

"Excuse us," Newt says then both if you run after Teddy. You run up the stairs and into the bank, looking around the lobby.

A man walks over to the two of you, "Can I help you?"

"No, we were just...we were just waiting," Newt stutters. Then quickly pulls you over to a bench where the man from earlier is sitting. He puts the case down then sits down on the bench.

You could feel someone looking at you and looking in that direction to see the woman from earlier, the one who was eating a hotdog. When you look at her she immediately looks away.

"Hi," The man says. "What brings you here?"

"Same as you," Newt answers.

"You're here to get a loan to open up a bakery?" He asks.

"Yes," Newt lies.

"What are the odds of that?" The man says astonished, "Well, may the best man win, I guess."

You lean back and see Teddy stealing something out of someone's purse. You hit Newt's arm while standing up. "Excuse us," You say to the man and run after the Niffler with Newt right behind you.

You can hear the man on the bench yell something to the two of you but you couldn't understand what he said.

You spot Teddy stealing a shoe clip off of a woman's shoe. You and Newt continue walking, trying to find Teddy. You see the Niffler trying to pilfer the lock off of someone's suitcase then he jumped onto a woman's purse and steal anything shiny out of it.

Newt looks through the bandit barrier to see if Teddy is back there while you look around. You hear coins clicking then you turn around to catch a glimpse of Teddy under a couch, he goes to grab the tag off of the pug that is sitting on the floor but the dog barks at him. Teddy scurries away from the pug. Newt dives onto the floor and looks under the couch. You look up and see Teddy climbing on top of the bandit barrier.

You spot Teddy on a cart sitting on a pile of coins. He looks at you and Newt places his paws on them to say that the coins belong to him now. The cart is pushed into the elevator.

"Hey, Mr. Engligh Guy," You hear a man yell from across the room. Both you and Newt turn to look at him. It's the same man from earlier. "I think your egg is hatching."

You both look back at the elevator, the doors are closing. You and Newt grab your wands then Newt uses the Accio charm on the man and he comes flying towards you, as soon as he gets to you, Newt grabs him and you both apparate downstairs.

The egg that is already cracking starts cracking more and you can hear the chirping of a baby Occamy.

"What just happened?" The man mumbles under his breath.

Newt puts his wand in his mouth and takes the egg out of the man's hand. He looks at you and smiles, you shake your head then take his wand out of his mouth. You step back and walk down the stairs. Newt walks passed you and places the suitcase on the ground.

"But, excuse me," The man stammers. "I was over there. Came over... I was over there."

Newt opens the case, "In you hop," He mumbles as he puts the baby Occamy into the suitcase.

"Hello?" The man stammers as he follows into where Newt is.

"No," Newt says to Dougal who is trying to get out. "Everyone settle down. Stay. Dougal, don't make me come in there. Don't make me come down there."

You look over to see Teddy squeezing through the vault. "Absolutely not," You mutter. You point your wand at the vault door, "Alohomora." The door starts opening.

"Oh, so, you're going to steal the money, huh?" A man behind you asks. You turn at look at him and he pushes the security alarm.

You point your wand at him "Petrificus Totalus." The man freezes and falls to the ground.

"Mr. Bingley!" The other man exclaims.

When the vault door fully opens you walk in, you sigh when you see your Niffler stuffing a gold bar into his pouch. You cross your arms and give him a look.

Teddy looks at you with defeat and puts the gold bar down. You walk towards him and pick him up then turn him upside down so that everything in his pouch falls out. You can tell that he's hiding more and start tickling him. He claws at your hand, "No, don't play that." Eventually, everything falls out of his pouch.

Footsteps stamper down the stairs.

"Oh, no," The man mumbles. "No, no, no... Don't... Don't shoot. DON'T SHOOT!"

Newt grabs him and you both apparate outside. Newt puts the case down and opens it.

You squat down to put Teddy into the case, "For the last time you pilfering pest, paws off what doesn't belong to you."

"Awfully sorry about that," Newt apologizes to the man.

The man is pressing his back against the wall, "What the hell was that?"

"Nothing that need concern you," Newt answers. "Now, unfortunately, you have seen far too much," Newt takes hold of the man's blazer and pulls him off of the wall. "If you wouldn't mind, if you would just stand there, this'll be over in a jiffy." Newt turns to look for his wand.

"Mmm-hmm. Sure. Yeah," The man answers. He grabs his suitcase then whacks Newt in the face with it before running off, "Sorry."

"Newt!" You exclaim then help him up, you place your hand on his face to turn it towards you, checking to see if he was alright. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," He whispers then goes to kiss you but you stop him when you see the woman from earlier, the one who was eating a hotdog, walking down the alley towards you.
