Please, I am not spoiled if I think “vote blue no matter who.” The two party system is obviously corrupt. Right now if you vote third party it is literally a vote for Trump. To vote third party this election is completely ignorant! I understand we need to make a change but right now we can only play with the cards we have been given. Third party candidates never win. It sucks that this is true but right now it’s what we have to deal with. You are “spoiled” to think not voting for Biden will actually result in anything right now. Less votes for Biden=More votes for Trump, a man who is getting closer and closer to becoming a dictator. Yes I think the two party system is garbage and the people should have better representation but this election is a matter of life and death for some people. We just need to get trump out of office and voting third party will not do that.

Is the voter system in the United States corrupt? ABSOLUTELY. The electoral college is unfair and makes one person's vote worth more than another's. The fact that we only have a choice between two candidates when most of the time we don't like either is awful. Yes there are third party options and write ins, but they NEVER win. They never even come close. Voting third party just gives less votes to the republican and democratic nominees. Should it be this way? No! Every person running for president should have an equal opportunity of winning but our current system doesn't allow for that.

The issue we have now is the fact that people who do not like Biden are saying "why should I vote for the democratic nominee if he doesn't represent the values that I have?" I understand, you shouldn't have to vote for someone you don't like. We should fix the system and have better representation of the values of voters. Well who are you going to vote for? Write in someone? Vote third party? Vote for Trump? Right now voting for anyone but the two main candidates divides the amount of votes each candidate gets. Yes you are voting for a third party, but that vote takes away from the two candidates. As I have said, this is unfair, but right now this is the system we have. We can change it in the future and we should but right now we have to deal with the cards in front of us.

Voting third party or writing someone in comes from a place of privilege. If you vote third party it is a vote for Donald Trump. He has no interest in anyone but himself. He fires anyone who disagrees with him. He publicly slanders people in his own party who disagree with him. He puts people against one another. He has put no effort into uniting the country. He has done nothing in the response to this pandemic and does not care one bit that over 160,000 people have died. He puts children in cages. He has separated families. He has LOST THOUSANDS OF IMMIGRANT CHILDREN. He literally has ties to Jeffrey Epstein and the KKK. Things can only get worse if he stays in office. If you vote third party, you take away votes from Joe Biden (who is in no way perfect at all but is absolutely not as bad as Donald Trump). Biden may not represent who you want as president but it is extremely ignorant to only take into account your personal interests while people's LIVES are at risk while Trump is in office.

Right now, a third party vote is useless. That is not to say that this system shouldnt be changed, but right now we need to think about the immediate future. Voting third party won't help anyone except Trump. Please, vote blue.

Yeah but at least we would have a president that thinks before he speaks. Nothing may happen under Biden but at least nothing will get WORSE. If you vote third party you take votes away from democrats and trump will win again. Another four years of a man who has no capacity to feel for others and constantly takes away the rights of minorities. If Biden wins he will pave the path for the next election and a democrat that we actually want will have a better chance of being elected. Biden may suck ass but maybe America won’t be the laughing stock of the world anymore.

This is absolutely true. I can’t deny that I’m white and am guilty of implicit racism. I know it’s there, I recognize it, and I consciously try to fix it. I am able to realize that the way I have been raised has influenced my behavior but I understand that this behavior is wrong and is based on bias that I have grown up with. It’s important that white people recognize that all racism isn’t completely outright.

Stop pretending like Biden and Trump are the same thing.

There’s a SHIT TON wrong with Biden.  There’s a SHIT TON wrong with the Democratic Party.  But to try to equate your average old white establishment with the party that is literally dismantling our democracy and selling us out to foreign powers is fucking ridiculous.  Trump is a madman.  He’s a wannabe dictator.  He’s a grifter, a cheat, a fraud.  The Republican Party refuses to hold him accountable for any of his many crimes–and they are crimes, and there’s a lot of them–and are perfectly willing to dismantle every protection they can get their hands on in the name of Republican power consolidation.  This needs to stop, and it needed to stop years ago.

Anyone who wants you to throw your vote away in protest is not to be trusted.  Anyone who wants you to not vote or vote third-party in this particular election is damaging to this country at best.  At worst, they’re actively seeking to steer votes away from the Democrats to better aid the Republicans.  They’re either dupes or stooges.  Don’t let them sway your vote.

Yes, I know it sucks that Bernie didn’t win.  Yes, I know that it sucks that this guy is our best shot.  But we have one job this November, and it’s to vote out any Republican we can.  Not just the President, Congress too.  Our country is in danger.  Our country is in danger, and the only way to save it is to take it back from the people who want to destroy it.

We can deal with Biden’s failings once he’s president.  They’re nowhere near Trump’s myriad crimes, nothing like Trump’s horrific behavior and policies.  Biden can be reasoned with, and he can be counted on to move the country in a better direction than the fucking mess it is right now.  Just because it’s not the best direction doesn’t mean it’s not one we should move in.

Don’t stay home.  Don’t vote third-party.  I threw my vote away in 2016 because I felt secure knowing that Trump couldn’t win.  I was, obviously, horrifically wrong.  He can win, but his greatest weapon is our own apathy.  Don’t give in.  Don’t give up.

Don’t let this continue.  Vote for Biden in November if you want this nightmare to end.  I don’t care if you ~dislike~ him.  He’s not Trump, and he never will be.
