hii!! i honestly don't know right now. i stopped writing almost a year ago bc i simply fell out of it and took some time away to focus on college.

honestly, i love the idea of coming back and finishing up at least some of the stories i had written out, but a lot has changed for me in the past year. i'm 21 in my final semester of undergrad and my life has been a little more crazy. i used to find writing a big stress relief, and i bet it still would be if i was that same 18 year old just starting college and still anxious about the world.

maybe i'll come back and at least finish what i started.

idk if this is controversial or not, but I really like when non-professional writing like fic has hints of author bleedthrough when it comes to like, what different people assume is common knowledge. Like sometimes I’ll be reading a fic and it’ll just be obvious that the person writing it is either obsessed with medicine or has been to medical school, because they’ll use terms that are just a shade too technical without explaining them. It’s never the super specific stuff that they’d know other people are unaware of, it’s always the things that once you’ve known it for a while you forget it’s niche knowledge. It’s fun because as a fanfic reader it reminds me of how this is a fun hobby community, where everyone has their own thing going on outside of fandom. Everyone’s got their own specialties and they can’t help but write that into their work sometimes

Is anyone else just in complete bafflement and wonder at Andor being actually greenlit by Disney those assholes in the corporate office? CANON lesbian representation, overt allusions to in-universe racialization of characters (Diego Luna is described as a man with dark features in the police APB and it actively contributes to his experience in the universe!!), police brutality and criticism of the police state spelled out in the most painstaking terms possible, and the Empire!!! People have already talked about how scary the TIE fighters are allowed to be. The Empire isn’t cute. It’s terrifying and it’s run by real humans committing atrocities, not just monsters and faceless soldiers and comic relief incompetents. Again and again I feel like I’m seeing things that have never been allowed to feel so raw and real in mainline SW, if they were present at all. And the fact that every other aspect of the show is on point, that no sacrifices in story or characterization or worldbuilding or cinematography or production value were made in the process — I don’t even have words. Idk what the general sentiment of the Star Wars fandom is, I haven’t been paying attention. But if Andor has only ten fans I am one of them. If Andor has only one fan it is me. If the entire world is against Andor I am against the world.

Cocky, confident Matt is TOP TIER Matt. This man has taunted an angry Punisher and called him 'unhinged' to his face whilst chained to a chimney, goaded Fisk about Vanessa never coming back right to his face, taunted a chain-sickle wielding Nobu about how he needs to earn his respect, and triggered Bullseye/Dex about Julie before fighting him. Now he's taunting a Hulk about whooping his ass.

The audacity. The temerity. The chutzpah. Not everyone is as sexy (and as dumb) as him to be literally just a guy with sticks but still have the balls to be this confident. I love him.

I feel like I may have told you this before so apologies if I have but I just can't get over how good it is so I can't restrain myself but yo oh my goodness if you go to the blog hardwiredweird they have a drawing of matt murdock kind of back to back with daredevil and it is the most stunning daredevil/matt art I have ever seen and I mean it is gorgeous, I bought a print of it and have it framed in my bedroom in a old timey looking gold frame it looks freakin glorious, sometimes (a lot of the time lol) people's art skills blow my mind

He definitely had his own style of humour in the Netflix series which worked so well for him and honesty is way funnier than marvel movie humour I kind of don't want them to change that unless they keep it in the same vein cuz honestly Disney/marvel humour has wore off on me

yes!! i very much hope they keep his own sense of humor for it but we'll just have to wait and see. i'm holding out for the best

Fisk is coming back for Born Again I wonder if we'll get Bullseye I kinda don't think we will which is such an actual crime literal daylight robbery lol

I want foggy back so bad even just one freakin scene of foggy I swear if there's not even a glimpse of my dude I will be devastated, bringing back matt but not letting him have a single interaction with foggy would hurt. They really missed the opportunity in spiderman I mean how hard would it have been to have foggy sitting beside matt

But anyways aside from my fears of dear foggy I am so pumped I cannot believe we're getting matt back I just gotta hope and pray that whatever way he's written he's still true to his character they better not try to change him cuz mans is a perfect disaster just the way he is

i would kill to have bullseye back but ik that's a longshot considering the route it seems they wanna take. they keep talking about matt being more jokey and comic book like in she hulk but i feel like he's always had a sense of humor in his own show!! i can't imagine they're going to change his character an awful lot considering it's still charlie playing him.

i am so excited to have him back tho. like more excited than i've been about anything marvel related in a very long time.

i'm writing this super late in the night just bc it's on my mind, but i'm taking a break.

obviously this isn't super sudden as i have not been extremely active on here as of late, but even though i've finished school for the semester, i've had a million other things going on. i've been working like crazy and spend all my free time with family and friends and i've honestly not thought about this blog in a very hot minute.

i will be back - i have no doubt about that. never be afraid to reach out to me if you'd like to talk or ask questions, but for now i'm not going to be actively posting any stories.
