Elderly women are an extremely important demographic for feminism. If a woman cannot be childless and then live comfortably taken care of in her old age, then there is still coercive incentive for children. Social security and elderly womens programs are very important.

Photo taken in an art class at a primary school in a Palestinian camp in Beirut, 1980. Photographer: Thomas Billhardt.
ID: [A little girl stands in front of a chalkboard, with her mouth open, showing an expression of fear or shock. She points at her drawing on the chalkboard, which is a drawing of an Israeli warplane dropping missiles over two stick men running away from their houses. The stick men are running towards a drawing that reads ‘ملجأ' (Mal-Ja’) which translates to refuge shelter. There is an arrow pointing to the warplane that reads ‘خطر' (Kha-Tar) which translates to danger. One the right side of the board, there is Arabic writing that indicates that this is a 2nd grade class, and this is fourth period. On the left side, the date is written in Arabic: Tuesday. January 15, 1980.] END ID.

Talking shit about J Lo is the most human thing a person could do…..i hate this era of celebrity we’re in where like everyone is an icon you can’t talk shit about unless they did some horrific thing. That’s the only reason people get mad at celebs over the most benign/banal actions…nobody can just hate on a grown ass pop star for making bad art and being stupid any more. Most celebrities who made it into the mainstream post 2015 all dress like video game characters and have the most filtered manicured personalized to avoid any sort of conversation about how they present themselves. New celebrities just get shoved in peoples faces and they are expected to respect them as cultural liaisons for whatever consumer tribe they are meant to represent it’s insane.
