thinking about kipperlilly and faith. about how, clearly, whatever plans they're cooking need a cleric. that she went through three whole clerics just to find one who was willing to reject their faith. about the fact that kipperlilly has had her whole life laid out from birth; easy academic run, parents earning a good salary, no dramas, no deaths, no traumas. About anger bubbling in her, despite all this. Kipperlilly has never needed faith, because she's never been lost before.

And so, when faced with needing a cleric who is willing to reject their divinity and their god, and their faith, she loses time and time again. Because she doesn't UNDERSTAND what faith means. She doesn't understand Kristen, and it kills her. Embracing doubt and not knowing when everything is easier when you know what lies ahead. She can't understand it because, again, she's never needed to believe in anything.

And she meets Buddy, who thinks he has faith, but just has obedience. Who believes because he's told to, and he's the perfect person for her to twist that faith, because when it comes down to it, he's more scared of death than of losing his faith. the perfect person to use.

I wonder if she saw Kristen at the beginning of Junior Year, floundering, rejecting the calls of her own deity, ignoring what Cassandra needs, and thought she would be perfect, only to be completely shut down by the utter faith Kristen has in everything.

i know this episode should make me MORE mad about kipperlilly and trust me im there too but. if anything it just makes me feel bad for her. The relationship between kipperlilly and lucy frostblade. Kipperlilly, this young, super competitive kid who yeah has some pretty flawed ideals but is actively working on them, having this friend group, and in it, lucy frostblade, who she sees as an ally. a complete and total ally. the group disagrees on things, and kipperlilly sees the disagreements as merely a means to spite her (ruben "because kipperlilly didn't want it" etc), and still lucy stands by her.

and then, when they become engaged in a grand conspiracy, being revived to worship a rage goddess, being pulled into schemes, kipperlilly at the helm, she expects lucy to stand by her, to follow her, to be an ally.

And Lucy refuses. And Lucy is dead.

And all Kipperlilly has is rage.

OP, I understand your confusion but that was very much a real event! Turns out that tabaxi was the Shadow Cat, the familiar of the Nightmare King who was actually an ancient goddess of Sylvaire who was transubstantiated into a disease. She could only be seen by people who had her disease, which was transmitted through various bodily fluids. The Court of Stars has also been putting out statements lately saying that they and other members of the Fallinel government worked with the Shadow Cat, but had nothing to do with her plot of trying to bring back the Nightmare King, since she apparently worked with them as well.

I cannot BELIEVE that there are FELLOW STUDENTS here at Aguefort who are SERIOUSLY considering voting for Kristen Applebees for class president. Are you out of your mind? Kipperlilly Copperkettle is actually trying to campaign to make the school better for all of us when we've all seen firsthand how messed up everything is. She's actually trying to make it fair for us students, and what does Kristen want to do? Nothing! She has literally ZERO campaign promises that mean ANYTHING for the school and the only things she talks about are steelworkers of all things and a thing NOBODY knows. NOBODY KNOWS WHAT FETTY WAP IS! Getting really annoyed by all the posts going around joking about Kalvaxus and the Nightmare King. Has Aguefort collectively forgotten about the fact that a giant spider appeared on campus a few months ago and started terrorizing people? I'm starting to understand why so many people think so negatively of Aguefort now. I was literally there and watched it happen and then no one seemed to bring it up ever again. No teachers decided to address it or anything. We're lucky it didn't kill anyone, and, actually, now I'm remembering, wasn't Kristen Applebees there? I swear to Galicaea she was there. In recent years especially this year I’ve noticed a lot that the internet language picked up so many Islamic phrases and, from a muslim perspective, it makes the internet a little more welcoming. the thing is, a lot of the time with Islamic phrases you have to be careful about when and where to say them they hold their own weight and demand their own respect so here is a list explaining each phrase and some notes about it.

In sha allah

It means “ If God wills “. Muslims say it because we’re unaware of what future holds it’s actually blasphemous to claim to know the future, so saying so means “ If it’s the will of god it will happen if not it won’t “ and you’d say it about future events. side note, it’s also a polite way of saying No. for example, someone asks you to do something and you say in sha allah. Technically you’re not saying yes or no, and if it’s not in god’s will it won’t happen.

Ma sha allah

It means “ this is what god intended “ and it’s a compliment. Saying so is like saying WOW! But it’s also kind of a prayer of protection? If I see someone with pretty hair I should say “ Ma sha allah your hair is very pretty “ the ma sha allah protects the person from the evil eye. By saying that I’m also saying I’m not jealous I’m genuinely enamored and I don’t wish any harm to go to it.

Astagfurullah

it means “ to god I repent “ or “ from god I seek forgiveness” it’s usually used when you make a mistake but people also use it when they see something bad or when they want to avoid saying something bad. Like once my card refused to work and I’d say that so I won’t say any curse words and to calm down my anger

wallah/wallahi

okay this one is important. This one shouldn’t be used so lightly. It means “ by god’s name “ and it’s basically swearing in Allah’s name. You are only supposed to say it if you genuinely mean what you’re saying. It’s such a heavy word that I only say it very rarely and if you say it and don’t follow up on what you said you have to fast for three days as repentance.

One more note is that with the name of Allah you should also be careful it’s not supposed to be written on papers that’ll get stepped on or lightly used in art because it also has its own weight it’s regarded heavily. Like even in home decorations it should be elevated and not overshadowed. If I have to throw away a paper I have to sit down and color over the name of Allah or burn the papers so it won’t get thrown in trash.

another note is that those phrases aren’t Muslim exclusive. Some Arab non-Muslims use them as well. This is only my explanation from a Muslim perspective.
