If you find yourself unable to complete your piece, please let us know ASAP so we may reassign accordingly!

You may request an extension on the due date, however if your gift is not posted within the extra week we will have to reassign your gift to one of our pitch hitters.

Please keep Dm's open and available to non-friends for the duration of Code: Swap. If discovered that a mod cannot contact you at any point, you will be removed from the event without warning.

I can't wait for the lilacs to finally bloom here in Sweden, in the meanwhile I'll just have to make do with painting them. Also I recently watched Suzume so I was in the mood to paint something pretty.

Heya everyone! I'm excited to get to show a bit of the passion project I've been working on in the last year. These are the main characters of the middle-grade fantasy book I've been writing: The faun siblings Panmiel & Omelia and the satyr Hobkin!

Tidbits about the characters:

Omelia: Older sister, headbutting champ, headstrong, but always reliable.

Pan: Good-hearted & awkward young brother of Omelia. Hopes becoming a Full Horn will win him respect from his herd.

Hobkin: Mischievous & free-spirited. Friend or enemy?

Writing a book for kids and tweens has always been a dream of mine since I was little. I used to write a lot but when my storyboarding career launched, I found myself putting my writing aside to focus on that. But during this rough period of turbulence in the animation industry (and with some kind encouragement from the amazing @briannedrouhard) I found time to get back into a passion I used to love. Creating a world and characters of my own and doing sessions with my writers' group has been really healing during all the hardships of the industry in the last two years. I'm only about 5 chapters away from completing the story and I'm so excited to be able to share more!

Uh so some of the eras aren’t 100%accurate but I had to pick and choose and make some tough decisions—yes I did include Crystal…she’s literally based on 1989

designs aren't final, these are just little sketches for me to get back into drawing animals again!! Gonna try to make them look better and more vibrant tomorrow! Just gave em simple designs for now!

btw if you wanna know why he's a giraffe, here's a little trivia for you!!! The word Kirin in Japanese means giraffe! The FSM in this AU is an actual Kirin (Which is also a wingless dragon)

Also thinking of changing Kai into a wolverine (the drawing would hardly need to be changed lol) just so he can be a bit closer related to Nya!! Their dad would probably be one too

(Another note: Absolutely nothing in this au is realistic! Everything just goes purely off of vibes from the individual character. I'm not checking if it's possible because I just wanna have fun!! I use a lot of stupid logic in this, so be prepared)
