This is what a community looks like.

See how in 2023 almost all of the reblogs come from the OP, from their few hours/days in the tag search. Meanwhile in 2014 the % of reblogs from OP is insignificant, because most of the reblogs come from the reblogs within the fandom, within the micro-communities formed there. You didn't need to rely on tags, or search, or being featured. Because the community took care of you, made sure to pass the work between themselves and onto their blog and exposed their followers to it. It kept works alive for years.

It's not JUST the reblog/like ratio that causing this issue, it's the type of interaction people have. They're content with scrolling and liking the search engine, instead of actually having a reblogging relationship with other blogs in their community.

Anyways, if you want to see more content you like, the only true way to make it happen is to reblog it. Likes do not forward content in no way but making OP feel nice. Reblogs on the other hand make content eternal. They make it relevant, they make it exist outside of a fickle tumblr search that hardly works on the best of days.

If you want more of something, reblog it.

* favorite thing about him: I LOVE HIS DESIGN IN THE FIRST GAME SO MUCH but as a character i really admire his unbreakable will to save and protect his daughter despite all the horrible things that happened to him, especially if we're talking about low-chaos corvo, who doesn't allow such a terrible world to corrupt him.

* least favorite thing about him: i wish his campaign in dishonored 2 had its own story, instead of just being emily's with rewritten dialogue.

* brOTP: corvo and samuel, no doubt! samuel is the most (if not only) trustworthy man in all of dunwall, and his entire vibe as the man who's always there, waiting for you at the end of the mission, no matter what, is just very comforting.

* OTP: him and jessamine, naturally! we basically see nothing of them together but i bet they made an great couple.

Demon Bug Dad! It's super weird that Sparda is the originator of the everything demonic in DMC, yet he is demonic while literally every one of his descendants had power lizard or 'angelic' themed. Not complaining about anything tho.

i don't know who needs to hear this, but i needed to hear it today, so here goes: you should write that fic. you should write what makes you happy.

it doesn't matter if the concept has been done before, you are still allowed to write your coffee shop/flower shop/college/western AU. you should write that fic that is wildly self-indulgent. you should process something dark and hideous through your fic. you should share something beautiful through your fic. those two things are not mutually exclusive, either. you don't have to be dealing with something traumatic to write something considered taboo. and yeah, even if that might be a little out of character for that old man, you're still allowed to write it.

and if someone gets so upset about it they're in your inbox being an asshole, you have my permission to delete that message and move on with your day. you also have my permission to tell them to go fuck themselves. you do not owe an explanation to anyone.

This one's sadly going to be short, cause, well. There is not much we have on Lucia at all.

favourite thing about them:

I admit, I am a sucker for her overall design and style. Of course, I also cherish her bravery, kindness and duty, but. Her visual design is just. So Good. and I am weak for redheads

To add to that, I love how her DT form pioneered the 'angelic' design and vision in DMC! It suits her perfectly, and I definitely love how dmc4 and Nero's DT in dmc5 doubled down on that foundation.

Also, we don't have that much of Lucia, which is good for female characters in Capcom games, they are safer than way.

Her and Trish! I think them interacting might be therapeutic for both - both are afraid of losing themselves to their demonic nature, however their stories are inversed, so they can complementary support each other. I also just genuinely think they could hit it off nicely, and be besties power duo.

Though I can also see their similarities driving them away from each other, cause that's the mature thing every character in this fandom usually does.

Dante/Lucia. They could be like, so unbelievably sweet. That stuff in entirely AU though, while I could envision a way Vergil/Lady might work out post DMC5, I can't see any way of Dante/Lucia happening in canon.

Outside of canon, I think they could be tooth-rottingly sweet. It's all very optional though.

She likes wine and trying out different kinds of it. Same as Vergil, for some reason I think she'd enjoy pottery. Also drawing, I think Matier tried her best to make Lucia interested in art and drawing lessons were part of that.

anyway, they have nothing in common besides that (...or more like we don't have any canon info on either of them to find any similarities), buuuut I do really like Mistral's battle track, and some lines certainly could ring true for Lucia as well, so yeah.
