It’s amazing seeing people actually think Eminem kneeling at this year’s superbowl was the only and first time he did something for the culture. Like, its literally people older than me who think this. I’m like, if I remember some of this stuff, how come you all don’t. Delusional hip hop twitter must have found their way on tumblr?

Did you all really forget his song white america was about and he made a song like that 20 years ago?

Did you forget he was always outspoken about how he was against republicans. He literally beefed with George Bush, he was invited by secret service because of the way he’d come for bush in songs.

And how could you all REALLY forget him snubbing the hell out of the Oscars. As a rap artist he unintentionally broke a barrier by being the first rap artist who not only won an oscar but was asked to perform in 2003. He was gonna be the first rapper to ever perform there. But he said no and didn’t even show up. He said it was because he knew that the Oscars usually did not care to give attention or chances to rap/hip hop artists, so he said no. Because of eminem’s decline, rap group 36 mafia were the ones to make history and be the first rap artists to ever perform at the oscars. Their iconic oscar win was also the first to be televised for a rapper winning an oscar, which as an iconic moment.

Eminem ain’t perfect but we not gonna act like he didn’t recognize his white privilege and used it the right way. He has been doing it his entire career.
