I am in my 20s, he is 30s. I have never had a boyfriend before. I met him at my first job. We suddenly clicked and were friends.
He had a girlfriend at the time, so i ignored all signs of him being into me. A month later i resigned, and for some reason saying goodbye to him hurt me. We kept in touch. He told me he was estranged from his gf now. They did not talk. Then on valentines day he asks me out. It was that point that i realized he had to be into me. Altough i was not in love, i was eager for an experience. He never asked, but i said lets date.
It was all cute in the beginning, the attention and love was all sweet to me. But when I had my first kiss i did not feel anything.
I am extremely introverted, so him calling me for hours everyday started to drain me.
Just one month later i told him that we should return to being friends. I felt so ashamed and immature, i felt like i used him. Altough i liked him, i could not stand being in a relationship.
Now we barely talk. But i will soon go out to have a coffee with him. I feel like i at least owe him.
