Little Nightmares hot takes
[Feel free to comment or reblog with hot takes of your own]
Someone on the LN subreddit asked for people's hot takes and I commented a bunch of spicy ones that I have, which I will copy and paste here (though the last one will have something added to it):
1- People who say that Mono is an uwu-softboi or portray him as such are awful and are doing him a disservice. Like, you can not look at his battle against the Thin Man and pretend that he's a pacifist, not to mention the other kills he made in-game. His fight against the Thin Man and moving the tower towards himself is his most badass moment and these rougher edges to him make him a much more interesting character. So by taking that away and acting like he wouldn't hurt a fly really doesn't do Mono's character and arc any favours, it just ruins it, so people have seriously got to stop thinking that he's a 'pwecious widdle angel' when he clearly isn't, especially when it hurts his character and story.
2- I'm pretty sure that people are expecting this one but the fandom needs to lay off Six, and way the fandom makes it so that Six must either be totally good or totally bad and is not allowed to be morally grey (in between) is so irritating. Just like with Mono, taking away Six's rough edges or smooth ones hurt her character and make her way less interesting. Also no surprise that I say this but the way that the anti-Six people treat her is so awful.
3- In addition to what I said about the golden child Mono stans in number 1, the way that the FNAF books treat Henry is very much like how the fandom treats Mono - only his suffering matters, screw everyone else. Or some go even stupider and treat all of the characters in LN except Six sort of in the same way that the FNAF books treat Henry, basically like "Six and her suffering? She should shut up and suck it up" or even going as far to say that she deserves her suffering. While just about all the other characters (Mono most especially) have their suffering dealt with a gentle hand.
4- I'm pretty sure this is ghost-pepper level spicy but it's so dumb that the fandom claims that Roger is nice. Like bruh, he literally has blood stains on his vest, chases kids, you can hear one that he catches whimpering as he takes them away, wraps them up to be taken to the kitchen, and there's a bloody guillotine in vicinity. Just because he doesn't kill Six or RK on-screen means he's nice? What?
5- They should've made a LN2 DLC where you play the game as Six and get to see her perspective of everything that happened, especially that scene. Make them step out of their Mono/Thin Man tunnel vision and focus on Six and her suffering too for a change instead of making Mono's overshadow everything.
6- Six being the Lady would be disappointing AF and lazy that they're recycling Mono's fate. I'd be better off if Six was the next Lady and not the same one encountered in LN1, but I still prefer a different way for her story to go (or maybe make my new depressing interpretation of her ending (where she's not the lady but is still stranded at sea with no innocence or humanity left, making everything she went through all be for nothing in the end) the actual ending for her).
Plus, you're telling me that the remaining staff on the Maw (The Twin Chefs) were like "Oh, this kid that we tried to murder earlier is our boss now" and Six is like "Oh, I'm not going to kill these guys who tried to add me to the menu earlier. Plus I'll hire an exact copy of the Janitor and get a replacement for the one and only mirror I was able to fight the Lady with since it broke and try to board it up in the same room that I found it in. Yeah, it tooootaaaally would prevent another me from being able to get it in the exact same way that I did".
Not only that but they also put a child in charge of dealing with other business-related stuff on the Maw like shipments of coal and vegetables (or maybe someone else did that)? So stupid.
7- Runaway Kid's name is not seven!
8- The ridiculous double standards of self defence. Why are Mono and Runaway Kid allowed to defend themselves from monsters trying to kill them but Six isn't?
Mono - Smashes a bunch of bullies, pulls the trigger on the gun to shoot the Hunter, beats some living hands to death, probably burns the Doctor alive, kills some viewers by electrocuting them to death or luring them off of a ledge, and probably broke every bone in Thin Man's body before Thanos Snapping him.
Fandom - Eh.
RK - Electrocutes the Granny to death and disintegrates the Shadow Kids with his torch.
Fandom - Whatever
Six- Helps Mono shoot the same Hunter that kidnapped her and locked her in his basement (and she didn't take the gun off the hooks, Mono did), kills one bully after being kidnapped, tortured and hung upside down by them for who knows how long (which will eventually kill you), cuts off Roger's arms with a door when she was cornered, eats a rat when there's no other food nearby, eats a Nome instead of a sausage that she knows is made of human flesh, eats the Lady when there's no other food anywhere, and kills some guests who are reaching over to try and eat her on her way out of the Maw.
Fandom - Monster.
Now, I'm not saying that what Six did was good or what the boys did was evil, but people have to stop acting like it's okay for one character to kill to save their own lives but not the other.
9- This stems more from a certain artist that I won't name to avoid people going to harass them, but on top of the self defence standards, people also have to stop with the double standards of bad things happening to a character due to another character's actions. What I mean with this is that while yes, Mono had no way of knowing that Thin Man was behind the door and getting Six kidnapped by him was a mistake, that does not, however, undo the fact that Six still got kidnapped or that her kidnapping is not that big a deal all because it was an accident on Mono's part. Especially when people won't give Six the same leniency when it comes to Mono becoming the Thin Man. Six had no way of knowing that Mono would survive the fall, let alone him being stuck in a room on a chair for decades and turning into the Thin Man, yet that is a big deal despite her not knowing but her kidnapping isn't because it's also an accident?
And lastly,
10- Another ghost-pepper level spicy but AUs where Six pulls Mono up yet all the suffering she has to go through before that is 100% the same as in-game makes her a way, waaaayyyy better person than Mono. This goes double for AUs where Six realises that he's the Thin Man (you know, her kidnapper and tormentor) but decides to pull him up anyway. Like, Mono as Thin Man decides to kidnap and torture an innocent version of Six, cursing her with the hunger and making the child Mono have to torture her to save her, but Six decides to pull him up despite all of the pain he put her through. Even more so when she realises that he is her kidnapper. That makes her a much better person that him. Though it also makes her kind of spineless. I'm not saying that she should drop him, but in-game the player can abuse Six in some ways (running when holding her hand, which makes her stumble, throwing stuff at her, bash her with weapons (even if they don't do anything to her) getting her to fall off of stuff (yes, she respawns or teleports, but still), blinding her with the torch) but not once does Six retaliate until Mono attacks the music box, making her a bit of a doormat TBH. Yet some people in the fandom portray Mono as the doormat instead, it's like the fandom goes out of its way to get Mono and Six as backwards as possible.
Additionally, fan content where Mono doesn't apologise for getting Six kidnapped in the first place, or torturing her during his fight against her monster self makes him a huge jerk. Like, this girl has to suffer because of his actions (unintentional, perhaps. But as I said, that doesn't make the pain Six suffered go away or not matter) and he doesn't even have the decency to at least say sorry for the hurt he caused her? It pleases me whenever there's fan content where he does apologise, because not being sorry for hurting Six makes him a huge jerk.
It's long, but those are my hot takes.

My drawing for Little Nightmare 2's 3 year anniversary, AKA Mono's 3rd birthday. Yes, Six is one of his presents, lol.
*coughing profusely*
Disclaimer:
I still don't fully accept Low and Alone, but I cannot avoid drawing them forever. It was a question of when I'd start drawing them, not if. Compared to the other 4 protagonists, they still look too much like OCs in my opinion, plus the other 4 (Mono and Six especially (And doubly so for Six)) are irreplaceable for me, so they'd definitely appear in my drawings more than Low and Alone will. And with it being made by a different studio, no matter how accurate they get it to being like the other games, I don't think I'll ever fully accept LN3.
I haven't been in the best place mentally since the announcement of LN3, so please do not hold me not fully accepting it and its characters against me.

'Destroyed state' AU ideas for the Nest and Pale city
So, a few months back I came up with and proposed an idea of a 'what if' scenario or idea for an AU where the Maw is sinking and Six has a time limit to get through the game (and RK too), and Six uses her suitcase bed as a raft and any Nomes she hugs are taken on as crew-mates. Well, I've thought of 'disastrous' states of the Nest and Pale City that I wanted to share with people that I'm probably not going to make content of, but allow everyone to make content of their own of instead. Saying that, dare I say that people could even use these premises as a follow-up to Six escaping from the Maw in 'Sinking Maw'.
So I got this idea for the 'ruined' state of the Nest from Rain World, this idea is that Six is sailing on the sea, (either on a boat that was bringing Guests to the Maw but she killed them and took it over, or got her own raft somehow, or her suitcase raft from 'Sinking Maw') and she winds up passing by the Nest, or rather where it used to be. This premise is that some time after VLN, the rock formation of the Nest broke and collapsed into the sea. Six doesn't plan to return to the Nest, she just happens to pass by it, and all she can see is the bottom of the rock formation as a stump sticking out of the water, and perhaps some debris of the house itself floating in the water.
Tumblr media
(Look at it, the rock formation is pretty much begging to break)
And perhaps when the Nest appears onscreen in this collapsed state, music like this would play:
youtube
This would probably shock people who have played or seen VLN and now see the Nest in this destroyed state, and this music would fit perfectly with it.
And I've also thought of a 'ruined' state of the Pale City, this idea I got from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky. This premise is that post LN2, time in the Pale City has stopped entirely. Previously, time was distorted, but now instead, it's stopped altogether.
Imagine it: being after LN2, the characters that Mono and/or Six killed are still dead, and the city has gone about its business, but at some point after Six left, time just stopped. Debris of the run-down buildings and falling Viewers stuck in midair, characters in the middle of doing something but frozen in action. Like the teacher could be writing something on the chalkboard and the Bullies hurting each other (as they typically do), and Viewers watching TV, but none of them are moving (and not even falling if they were in midair as time stopped). And even the drops of rain in the post-school part of the city are stuck in place in the air and sky.
A character who wasn't in the city when time stopped (maybe Six if she returned there for any reason, which could serve as a follow-up to 'Sinking Maw' and 'Collapsed Nest') would still be able to move and interact with a number of the things frozen in time, like they'd probably need to push the stuck rain drops out of their way, which would make the rain drops obey gravity again, but they'd stay in their rain drop state instead of splatting on the ground. Everything in the Pale City is now nothing but a tableau for the protagonist (possibly Six) to walk around in and gaze (possibly in horror) at.
I can't quite think of a name for this premise but perhaps it could be called something like 'Paralysed Pale City'.
Just like with 'Sinking Maw' these are purely ideas that I probably won't make any content of, but wanted to share and welcome people to make content of their own of these two additional premises that could fit with 'Sinking Maw'. Side note: I have another and far, FAR bigger community AU in the works (and have had for over a year now), of which I do plan on making my own content of and I'll upload the 'initial/introductory content' of after the first 2 sequels of Rewind AU.
Thanks for reading.

I made this for the Little  Nightmares 6 year anniversary (or Six's 6th birthday) video and finally decided to upload Six doing the smug dance GIF in case other people may want to use it (but I want to be credited if it's used). The background of the video is a still image, and the sparklers are another GIF I found online here: https://gifer.com/en/Z9pp
I used someone else's WIP of Spinel doing this dance as a reference for the frames, which you can find here: https://www.deviantart.com/kyuubicore/art/Smug-dance-WIP-815118871

It took a while for me to finally get to drawing it, but here is my contribution to a DTIYS on Instagram that ghoulish_guy is hosting to celebrate 200 followers. They let us draw either Mono or Six holding a big red phone, so I decided to draw Six making a prank call in my drawing. I couldn't think of a prank call that isn't the 'Is your fridge running?' one (because that one is old and predictable), so I borrowed one from Bart Simpson, lol.
I have a joke scenario in my head where the Maw has phones so the staff can contact each other from long distances, but Six might answer it instead and say things to annoy them until they hang up for the funnies, lol.

Thank you TvT, my heart melts from the cuteness. The tradition version of this is the first drawing of yours that I've seen and got me interested in your art.
A couple years back I tried colouring in Six with a floaty from the original one because it's so cute. This is the result:
Tumblr media
I hope you like.
Would you ever make a remake of this classic you made?: https://www.tumblr.com/mybrainbutonpaper/646592529596284928/i-wanted-to-draw-more-of-this-group-six-mono-and
I’d love to see more content of RCG being like a sister to Six and I wonder what the group would look like with floaties in your new art style.

This brings me much joy! Especially since someone actually saw my real old stuff!
I made that drawing during my extreme little nightmares phase! I just wanted to draw these little ones happy.
Thank you so much for the request!

how do you feel about the autistic six headcannon?
Yay! My first ask! Thank you for sending me a question!
As for your question:
I'm not too sure how to feel about the headcanon of Six being autistic, and I don't believe that she's autistic, but a part of me feels like the autistic Six headcanon is a tad bit overused.
Everyone is entitled to their own headcanons, I just find this one being used a bit too often. I remember seeing a post about how Six may have some aversion to sound (which ties into her being autistic) and they used the scene from the 2017 comics when the Ferryman and Guests point at Six and she clutches her pain and grits her teeth. They say that there's a lot of sound going on in that scene, which is why Six curls down in distress, but I disagree because there aren't any visual clues that there's a lot of noise, like comics would draw lines to visually show loud sound, but there isn't any.
And speaking of that scene, from my old post called "Six suffers from 2 types of trauma, not just 1" (where most of what I said in it honestly still holds up 2 years later) I personally believe that one of Six's biggest fears is being kidnapped. I counted that throughout the entire LN series, Six got kidnapped a total of at least 5 times (6 if the 2017 comics are canon. I even made a meme about it some time ago).
First being when she got taken to the Nest (given that she hides in places where the inhabitants of the house wouldn't be able to find her or get, and she wanted to escape, I'm pretty sure she wasn't there at will).
Second time was by the Hunter, third was by the Bullies, fourth time by Thin Man, fifth time by the Ferryman (if the 2017 comics are canon) and sixth time by Roger (if the 2017 comics are not canon, then it's the fifth time instead. I initially didn't count that instance as a kidnapping, but when @haemosexuality counted it as Six being kidnapped, I counted it too).
I'm sure you've heard of the belief that Six suffers from Survivor's Guilt and PTSD, I firmly believe it too, especially when Six shows practically all of the textbook symptoms. I'm not sure if Six does have amnesia or not, but given that she was kidnapped 4 times by the time she encounters the Ferryman, I believe that she clutches her head, grits her teeth and curls down because she can already see that she's about to be kidnapped again, something that she's already heavily traumatised from.
I don't think that that scene has anything to do with sound. In LN1, when you have to push a cart over a pipe that has steam leaking out if it, if you get Six close enough to the steam (but not close enough for it to kill her), she'll cover her ears, same with when Mono walks on the keys of the piano after he and Six stomp it through the floor. But I don't think this is specifically because of autism, I'm pretty sure it's simply because of loud or awful sounds. Like if someone plays an instrument and they play it terribly, you'd want to stop listening to it, and I don't think anyone really likes listening to loud noise like steam leaking out of a pipe.
I had an aversion to loud sounds when I was a kid, such as fireworks, dogs barking and balloons popping. I got used to fireworks when I was around 9 years old (bit ironic since Six is 9), I don't know when I got over the loudness of dog barks, but it was somewhere in my teens (and our dog, who was a greyhound, definitely helped (greyhounds very rarely bark)), I can handle balloons popping better now, but I still prefer to avoid balloons. I'm not autistic, and not liking loud or certain sounds isn't an autism-exclusive trait.
I don't understand fully how autism works, I just know about getting upset over certain sounds, patterns or norms being changed suddenly, and difficulties with certain social interactions, but I don't think you need to be autistic to have some these traits. And I don't think Six really has any of these traits either.
TL;DR: I don't think Six has autism but people are free to headcanon her as being autistic, I just think it, and the headcanon of her being neurodivergent (not sure if it's the same thing or not), are a bit overused :/ (please don't kill me).

I wouldn’t say that Hezu says that Six deserves what happened to her, but she’s definitely being far too dismissive of her suffering, the part that Mono and Thin Man played in it, and making Six the scapegoat and acting like Six the sole cause of Mono and RK’s problems while letting everyone else who not only ALSO contributed to the boys’ fates but also committed far worse things (ie the Tower and the Lady) off the hook.
This part of what Hezu said angers me so much and is why I see her using Six as a scapegoat and blaming only her for the boys’ problems:
Tumblr media
The more bitter part of me rephrases part of this text as “That’s the point of Channel Change. To do Six as dirty as possible and act like she somehow prevents the possibility of the boys getting a happy ending no matter what, even if it’s a version of Six that wasn’t cursed with hunger by the Thin Man and jaded into looking out only for herself by Mono. I’ll completely defend the bad things that happened to Six because of Mono/Thin Man when she was just trying to help him but do the opposite the other way around and act like Six is the sole cause of the boys’ fates while everyone else is let off the hook.”.
Yes, Hezu said that the boys aren’t innocent and that she doesn’t see Six as a bad person, but she doesn’t go into detail (telling but not showing), meanwhile she’ll provide essays about Six’s negative traits and deeds and the boys’ positive ones (telling AND showing)
I’ve shown these posts of hers to other people before (I also included an older post of Hezu’s where she gives a nuanced overview of Six, the same post that made me think that Hezu is better than this) and they gave their 2 cents on it. One person said that they don’t think that Hezu was genuine in the nuanced overview of Six, while another said that Hezu probably didn’t think it through so doesn’t see how screwed up it is. But they all have said that Hezu’s bias is obvious.
I don’t have a problem with her giving the boys a happy ending, I’m a bit annoyed that she excluded Six from it (I’m not asking or expecting her to add Six to it, plus it’s her AU so she can do what she wants with it, but I also am entitled to my thoughts and feelings on it, which I’ve already shown), but what really makes me angry is the unfair and cruel treatment she displays towards Six. I generally have no problem with the fandom making a relationship between the boys (though if they know about VLN I wish they’d stop leaving RCG and Six relationship in the dark, but that’s just me), it’s when they treat Six poorly in the process that ticks me off.
This is the lowest I’ve seen the “Mono and RK best friends, treat Six like sh*t” people go, and I hate to expose people to this but it has to be seen to be believed. While Hezu didn’t go this far, this is why I have a fiery hatred for the “Mono-RK bff, treat Six awfully” people and why it angers, disappoints and even worries me to see Hezu joining this club, it should be pretty obvious to see what’s wrong with this image:
Tumblr media
Do NOT harass @aly015, they’re NOT the one who made this image nor do they condone it.
The artist (whose name I won’t say to avoid people going to harass them, plus it’s not worth it to talk to the artist anyway because it’s like arguing with a brick wall) is a permanent VIP member of my greatest hate list called the “You are absolute scum and I despise every fiber of your being with a passion that burns hotter than the sun” list of people. Hezu is not on any of my hate lists (or even dislike lists because I don’t WANT to dislike her), but she’s definitely not on my like list anymore and is on my ‘neutral but angry’ list. And I feel so betrayed by Hezu to see her abandon everything she said in her nuanced post about Six and join the aforementioned club of people who make the boys be friends but treat Six terribly, even though she (thankfully) didn’t go to the extent that the artist who made the disgusting image above did.
@scruffiberri meanwhile skyrocketed up to my like and respect list with her ‘Togetherness AU’. I really like that she makes Mono accept responsibility and accountability for his actions, not defend them but also not demonize him for it either, AND she allows Six to voice her (justified) anger towards Mono uninterrupted and allows her suffering to actually matter. Scruffi is what Hezu (sadly) isn’t (anymore) and I respect Scruffi for that.
I’ve confided with @greensea-iza about this previously and they understand that an artist you like can let you down.
*pant, pant* and that’s everything I have to say about this, I’m glad about your posts about how the fandom dismisses Six suffering or transfers it to Mono (like your post about people going “Six got kidnapped! Poor Mono who witnessed it, never-mind the person who actually got kidnapped”) and I’m glad to see that I’m not the only person who sees and thinks that Hezu is being really mean to Six.
And I’m glad that you like my Rewind AU so far, I’m sorry that I can’t include the Pretender in the girls’ happy ending but she is an antagonist and canonically killed RCG and hundreds of children were slaughtered to be made into dolls for her. And I’m glad that you’re excited for my other AU.
Thank you for letting me vent, have a nice day.
Hey Shark. You wrote in your bio asking people to ask you about Six, so I'll give you a couple questions related to her.
Have you seen the new interpretation I've made on Six's ending? I'm not sure if you've seen the new (depressing) interpretation I've made of her ending in LN1, here's a link to it (please comment or reblog your thoughts on it, I'd like to know): https://www.tumblr.com/purplemninja/728795925847425024/a-depressing-revelation-about-sixs-ending?source=share
And my other question relating to Six: What do you think of my AU called 'Rewind' so far? I have all 9 sequels planned out (though they may be subjected to tweaks or modifications as I go), and I made this AU for multiple reasons, but the main ones being to give the relationship between her and RCG the justice and attention that it deserves, and to make things fair for Six from the AU called 'Channel change' whom Hezu did so dirty (and I'm so mad at Hezu about it, so thank you on the recent posts you've made about how the fandom tends to not give a rat's ascent about Six's suffering and even tend to make Mono's suffering overshadow or matter more than Six's or turn Six's suffering into Mono's (Like your post on when Six gets kidnapped they act like Mono's the only victim). You've surely seen the posts that Hezu made on why she did what she did to Six in her 'Channel change' AU and it doesn't take a genius to see her bias, especially the one where I sent her an ask when she reblogged the first page of my Rewind comic and Hezu says that Mono couldn't have known that Thin Man was behind the door, that he was the Thin Man, etc. Yet the fact that Six had no way of knowing that Mono would survive the fall (let alone everything that happened to him afterwards) and that the Nomes were children are oh so 'conveniently' left out of Hezu's explanation. And it honestly comes off as very dismissive in regards to Six's suffering like 'Oh but what happened to Six due to Mono's actions were an accident so her suffering doesn't matter, but I do care a lot about the suffering that Mono goes through due to Six's actions but not the other way around because reasons'. Though to Hezu's credit, in a more recent ask about Six in her AU, Hezu did write in the tags that Mono/Thin Man ruining Six's life is more reason for her and Mono not to be together, and this time she didn't get defensive about Mono's/Thin Man's actions, and even better, she pointed them in the direction of the first page of my Rewind comic that she reblogged, as I previously asked her to do if people continue to ask her about Six. It's not perfect, but it's good).
[Sorry for the rant, I just needed to get that out of my system. And if you want to see an example of excellent fair judgement between Mono and Six, I highly recommend you read @scruffiberri's comic called 'Togetherness' because neither kid's suffering is dismissed or held against the other, and Mono accepts responsibility and accountability for the role he played in what happened, it doesn't get defended or held against him and it allows Six and her suffering to actually matter and Six to voice that uninterrupted, something that Hezu seems allergic to do]
So what do you think of my AU? And something related to this AU: I have another big AU in the works and have had for several months now (I think nearly a year by now) that, like the Undertale AUs such as Underswap and Underfell, I encourage everyone to make their own content of this other AU I'm making, without needing to ask me for permission or needing to credit me (just don't steal is my only rule). I'll release the initial content of it after I make and upload the first two 'Rewind AU' sequels. I say initial content because I plan to make more content of my own of this AU in the future and the initial content is to introduce everyone to this AU and they can get the idea of what it's about and what happens in it. If you become invested in it, I'd love to see any content you may make of it (You can also make content of my 'Rewind AU' without needing my permission).
So those are my questions about Six for you. Plus I like the drawing you made of Samurai Six ;)
I'm sorry but I haven't read that post, that's just a lot to read and I'm burnt out enough from school so I don't really have energy for that. I might read it during thanksgiving break.
Rewind is a good comic. I like the ending you gave to Six and RCG. The only thing that bums me a tad bit is the lack of Pretender but she's the antagonist so I completely understand not wanting her, I just got accidently attached to her character and her not being there doesnt make anything worse so this isn't a critism at all lol. I won't speak on RCG's and Six's dynamic yet because there isn't enough of it.
I do agree that Hezu's ending was sorta cruel, it does make sense that Six would still be in the cabin but to say she deserves it is a bit too much. I wouldn't care as much if she didn't add it to the end of the comic. The comic was great but the end with Six soured it for me. If she wanted that to be the ending for Six, it'd be fine if she didn't add it to the end of a happy ending and reveal it if someone asked instead. I understand that she said that she wanted to have the ending be happy because it is LN but 1. the point of bittersweet ending is that the person having the bad stuff happen to them isn't suppossed to "deserve it". 2: It's a completely different tone than the rest of the comic, it should've been it's own post. 3:I don't want to be too mean to Hezu(especially considering she can't see this cuz i blocked her and you said she isn't that bad) but it's, idk, a bit fucked up to say that a child who got kidnapped deserves it because of something they didn't even do yet(even if she did its still fucked up).
Also okay! I just read up to ep 4. It looks good so far.
Rewind? I like it, And about the Au you're working on, I'm excited to see it. I might want to draw fanart depending how I think about it. Also if you want content for it I'd recommend asking on your own post, not mine. At the end of the day though I'm not sure it'll get a lot of content. Maybe a close mutual would make some. I think you should've talked about the au more so people could start to like the idea before considering makeing their own content. But I love the idea of a "community" au you have.
Also thanks!

'Sinking Maw' AU premise
Hey everyone, I call this a premise because I don't think I'll make a comic, drawing or fanfic of this idea, but I'd like to share it with other people and welcome anyone to make their own content of it. I made a reddit post about this a while back and decided to share it here too.
Here's the premise: LN1 but the Maw is sinking
This image is where I got this idea from:
I don't know who the artist is, but here's a link to where I found this image: https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/385550418111696401/comments/5283688118180956483/?entrySource=news_hub
This image made me conjure up a ‘what if’ scenario in my head regarding LN1, where during the entire course of the game, the Maw is sinking, which means that Six has a time limit to get through each chapter before the chapter she’s in becomes too flooded and she drowns. And she uses her suitcase bed as a raft and the Nomes she can hug are added to her suitcase raft as 'crew-mates' of sorts so that they can escape with her (of course not all of the game would be with Six on the raft, she’d have to get off of it and proceed on foot. And of course it would also mean that Runaway Kid has a time limit to get through each level in the DLC too)
You know how in-game when Six escapes the kitchen and manages to get outside the Maw before going back in to go through the guest section? Well in the ‘Sinking Maw’ premise, when she gets outside after the kitchen, she intends to get away from the Maw, but the Lady uses magic to create a current that forces Six’s raft to go back into the Maw, to the start of the Guest area, so it’s why she goes back in this AU. She needs to get rid of the Lady so the Lady can’t prevent her from escaping again.
So Six goes through the Guest area, gets to the Lady’s quarters and fights and eats the Lady. And her most badass moment of when she kills a hallway full of guests on her way out, in this AU, she’s on her raft again, rowing it towards the door where escape waits and the Maw is almost entirely submerged. Guests are in the water and try to reach their hands out to Six to either eat her or pull her raft under the water, but of course Six uses the Lady’s powers to kill them and rows her raft up the rapidly flooding stairs and outside. And the post credits scene shows the Maw finally disappearing under the waves of the sea, but Six is outside on her suitcase raft, accompanied by any Nomes she hugged and took on her raft as crew-mates.
The end.
Now, I know that there's some issues with this such as how the monsters would react to the fact that the Maw is sinking, would they try to evacuate or would they be able to breathe underwater? And some things like the layout of the chapters and puzzles would most likely have to be modified to fit with the area slowing flooding.
But this is purely an idea that I probably won't make any content of, but I wanted to share it and I welcome anyone to make content of their own of this premise. Thanks for reading.

A depressing revelation about Six's ending
2 months ago on the LN subreddit, I made a theory post where I say how Six may have had powers all along and didn't use them until the end, similar to Mono, and this wasn't the main focus of the post but in it I also mentioned a new way to interpret Six's ending and I compared it to a scene in Avatar: The last Airbender where Iroh teaches Zuko how to redirect lightning, the important thing being that lightning is a metaphor for abuse.
A person named Skrappo made a fandom wiki blog that goes into full detail on this new way to interpret the ending of LN1 (crediting me) and I will copy and paste it here for more people to see (I'll divide it between his blog and my comment with "---------" as a border, so to avoid people being confused between his info and mine)
-----------------------------------------------------
Credit goes to PurpleMNinja for the original idea.
In an interview, Little Nightmares' "Senior Narrative Designer" Dave Mervik said that he believes that both Six and Mono got equally bleak and hopeless endings. This has confused many fans ever since LN2's release. How could Six's fate be just as bad as Mono's? Mono is trapped forever in an infinite times-loop of betrayal, torture, and depression; while Six has become extremely powerful and has escaped the Maw, taking out anyone who stood in her path. I think I have realised why he believes this.
Tumblr media
Let's take a look at Mono's story. He is a small child who has a bag over his head to hide from the world, to try to forget that it hates him. Throughout LN2, he continues to lie to himself, pretending that the world doesn't hate him, he is constantly hiding. But when Six is taken and he is confronted by Thin Man, he has had enough. He accepts that the world he lives in hates him and accepts who he truly is, using his newfound powers to defeat Thin Man and take control of the Pale City. I think we can all agree that this is his most badass moment. But it all amounts to nothing, as he is betrayed and left to sit and rot for the rest of his life in that little room. Until he is stripped of his humanity and turned into the Signal Tower's slave.
Now let's look at Six's story. Like Mono, she is a small child who is in a world that hates her and wants her dead. Unlike Mono however, she doesn't try to pretend that it doesn't. Instead she chooses to be a survivor. Her greatest fear is death, and she will do anything to avoid it (and really, can you blame a 9-year old child for wanting to live?). However, despite living in a world that is kill or be killed, Six still tries to cling on to her childish innocence, she tries not to give in to darkness. Throughout the series, we see her doing many good things; trying to save Raincoat Girl, befriending Mono, hugging the Nomes, etc. But every time she tries to show kindness it backfires. She fails to save Raincoat Girl, she is betrayed by Mono (from her perspective), and she is forced to choose between committing cannibalism by eating a sausage or eating a little Nome like all the other ones she had befriended previously. She ultimately decided that eating the Nome was a better alternative to cannibalism (not realising that the Nome was another child). However the eating of the Nome pushed Six close to her breaking point. She has tried so hard to remain pure, to stay innocent, but every time she is given nothing but heartbreak and guilt in return. I believe that Dark Six is a representation of her inner darkness, her shadow, the animalistic sinful part of her that will do as many immoral actions as it needs (and maybe more for fun) to survive. When Six has her final hunger bout, she realises that truth. She realises that if she wants to live, she has to give in to her shadow, she has no other choice. She eats the Lady, and gives up the last bit of innocence she had left. And now, with the Lady's power, she can finally take revenge and fight back against the horrible monsters that had been treating her like an animal. She walks down the dining halls, massacres the Guests along the way, she is finally able to fight back against the world, to rise above the world. She walks up into the sunlight, finally out of the Maw... and she is met with an endless ocean. We hear a boat horn in the distance, but it is likely nothing more than the Guests' ship leaving. She has spent her whole life being ruthlessly attacked by the world around her, and now that she has finally gained the ability to fight back, it holds back... it leaves her alone. After going through living hell, being forced to do things she didn't want to, and giving up her innocence, she is met with a dead end. It has all been for nothing. She is still stranded, and all she can do is stand there, and look out into the sea, knowing that there is no way for her to escape...
This is why I think that Dave Mervik believes both endings to be equally bleak. Both characters go through so much trauma, leading up to them finally breaking and rising above the world that hates them, becoming able to fight back, and then they are both met with a dead end. In reality, Raincoat Girl and Runaway Kid had it the best. They both died and were able to escape the nightmare, but Six and Mono are forever trapped, alone and hopeless...
-----------------------------------------------------
TL;DR - I compare Six's ending to Zuko being taught how to redirect lightning because both characters have been most notoriously abused by the worlds they live in, and after much struggle they eventually are able to fight back, but their worlds leave them there with nothing to fight (Six gets a few guests, but that's it). Making them suffer so much and not grant them any sort of payoff when they're finally able to dish it back out. (I know how the rest of ATLA goes)
I slightly imagine the world wanted Six to either die, or suffer so much but be left stranded when she's able to fight back so that her struggles, sacrifices and losses don't end up with some sort of payoff or reward, making her go through so much to avoid death just to be met with a dead end when she manages to plow through it all. Either way, the cruel world wins.
If that's not a massive middle finger, I don't know what is.
And this new realisation on the ending of LN1 only adds to the tragedy of Six's story, which I've gone into full detail here.
And since I've probably made you very sad, here's some music I think is best when thinking about this interpretation of Six's ending:

Hey everyone. I didn’t watch the trailer (and I don’t think I will) but I’ve just seen that LN3 has been announced. Just about everyone is overjoyed that new content is coming out, a small part of me is too, but the rest of me is rocking nervously in the corner because there currently aren’t any signs that Six will be in it.
Edit: I watched SuperHorrorBros react to and analyze the trailer, but my feelings are still the same
It doesn’t have to be longer than a minute, but I want Six’s story to have some kind of conclusion. And if Six does appear in it, I hope that they don’t make her a villain.
The reason why I’m making this post is to say what stance this has on my ‘Rewind’ AU. I still plan to make the 9 sequels as they are planned to be, but as for LN3, I think there’s a pretty giant chance that I will ignore it for the AU.
I won’t be surprised if Hezu decides to make a ‘Channel change’ sequel where the boys meet and befriend the new characters (because one of the purposes of Rewind is to balance things for Six because Hezu betrayed her), but I think there’s a good chance that I’ll ignore LN3 entirely for the AU, especially if Six is indeed not going to be in LN3 (I pray that she makes some kind of non-villain appearance in it though). Note: good chance, not certain.
So there’s that. Just establishing the stance that LN3 has on ‘Rewind’.
I have something else in the works (and have had for a while now) but I cannot adjust it to fit LN3 into it until LN3 actually comes out. I put in a teaser for it in one of my ‘Six sketches’, and will tease it again in the first 2 Rewind sequels before I actually release the content I made for it. I wonder if anyone will spot them.
Just announcing my current thoughts/stance on LN3 and what it means for my LN content, but thanks for listening to this ramble about LN3 of mine.

Hey guys. Progress is slow due to multiple things, mainly being that I have a full time job now where my shifts are Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm, which leaves me a bit tired by the time I get home, but I’m making the first of many sequels to my Rewind AU.
Mono and RK will still not be in it, but the sequels should still be enjoyable, and it gives me the opportunity to give the relationship between Six and Raincoat Girl the justice that it deserves.
When I’ve made all of the sequels (9 in total), and their respective animatics, I’ll make a video where all of the animatics are put together in sequence, but I also plan to put some bonus content in the video, one of which being that I show any fanart of this AU and show the usernames of the respective artists that made it, as a shoutout to them (with the artists’ permission, of course).
So saying that, I welcome everyone to make fan content (such as fanart) of my Rewind AU. Be sure to use the tag “#little nightmares rewind” (which I’ll use in this reblog too) or @ me in it so I’ll be able to see it and feature it in the eventual video.
Have fun! I look forward to any more fanart of this AU!

I didn’t make this, a university classmate of mine did and gave it to me as thanks to an origami lily I made for multiple people (including her and my teachers) so that they have something to remember me by.
She gave it to me at the graduation ceremony today.
Six lives rent-free and safe on my desk now. I have a machine gun ready for anyone who would want to hurt her.

Someone has to say it, so I will:
Six is the very definition of the saying “The child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel it’s warmth”
