Hey Everybody !!!!!

It’s been a month since I last posted and about 2 months since I last posted something about SJM, ToG or ACOTAR. And I would love to say that I’m going to start posting again, but not just yet I don’t think. I just feel that I owe it to you amazing people to be kept up to date. Hopefully, I will start posting some time this month, but please don’t hold me to it.

Anyway, a quick update on what I’ve been up to. I still haven’t been reading a lot lately. The only two books that I’ve read that I consider actual books are A Court of Frost and Starlight -(and let me tell you, I have feelings about that book. If you want to know them, watch this review by Christine Riccio, because she basically sums up everything that I felt. Sans smut expectations cause honestly, I couldn’t care less at this point what Feysand do or do not do). And the other book I have read recently is Save the Date by Morgan Matson. If you want a feel-good rom-com in book form this is the one, I highly recommend it.

Anyway, apart from those two books, I went to KCON which was a lot of fun, and I have been working at a bakery in my area. Plus getting ready to transfer colleges (which let me tell you is SUPER STRESSFUL and is a significant reason as to why I am not posting).

Apart from all of that, nothing major is going on, and I will update everyone as to when I plan on start posting again, hopefully later this month, BUT PLEASE REMEMBER THIS IS TENTATIVE AND I MAY NOT START AGAIN THIS MONTH.

Love you all lots, and I hope everyone is safe, happy, and know that you are worth the space you take up.

Hello

Hi guys, thank you for being patient with me. I know that not a lot of people will read this and/or stop and acknowledge this. But I wanted to say thank you to everyone and to just give y’all an update.

With BookCon around the corner, my friend and I are going to be going! So maybe with me soon to be surrounded by everything that has to do with literature, I’ll have some more motivation and find the spark/thrill for reading again. Plus, I’ll be meeting Jenny Han, so I am pumped for that.

Also, I finally am done with the school year and have a lot of unread books that I plan on reading, so I may finally sit down and pick up/finish the books I have half read on my shelves.

However, at the moment my life is still a bit hectic and posting is not in the near future. I am still looking at the content that is being created and keeping some tabs on what is going on in the SJM-verse. But I still think I am going to be taking a break and not posting.

I think I’m falling out of love with SJM ... or maybe reading in general ... 😬

So, I’m going to be real with everyone, reading is hard. In college and in high school not everyone has the afforded luxury to read all the time. I know I didn’t, especially my last two years of high school. And when I did have down time, I didn't typically want to read another book. Instead, I wanted to talk with my friends or watch a show or binge watch YouTube videos. And maybe my pushing reading to the back burner is just a reaction to the building up of stress in my life, and once all the pieces of my life start falling into place I’ll love it again, but right now I’m falling out of love with reading.

Now, here is the other thing, while I do still enjoy reading occasionally, I’ve started to not LOVE Throne of Glass and A Court of Thorns and Roses as much as when I first read the series. And while I still love SJM’s writing and the crazy good characters and plots she writes. I think a big reason I’ve started to grow out of love with SJM is mainly due to Tumblr/Social Media.

I love the fandom that comes out of these online social networking sites. I appreciate so much all of my followers, I admire each and every single one of the people who create content. But sometimes it just feels as though the fandom and everything that has to do with social media is overwhelming. And as someone who doesn't have as many friends in the fandom, due in large part because all of my friends who were content creators have left. I don’t have the same connection to the content being created and the books themselves anymore.

Now, I don’t think I will shut down my blog, nor do I think I’m ever going to fully exit the fandom. But sometimes I wish I could either take some time away without feeling guilty or make my blog multi-fandom. And I know a lot of people have suggested that I do so. However, the only issue I have with such an action is that I created my blog simply because I wanted to see more SJM centered blogs in the Tumblr-sphere. Now, obviously this is not the case anymore, there are many SJM themed blogs. But I am a nostalgic being, and I don’t like change, and I want to keep what I made and had, if only as a capsule and memory to a time before.

So with this being said, I’m going to take a break from everything, the tags, the books, the information, maybe even Tumblr and all other social media site for a little bit. And I’m not gonna lie, I don’t know when I’m gonna return. Maybe for ACOFAS but I don’t know.

Throne of Glass TV Show Fancast

Back at it again with the ToG Fancasts, this time, another Game of Thrones cast member - Sophie Turner as Ansel of Briarcliff. Not only is she a great actress, but when her hair is dyed red and when she is in Stark regalia (wolf emblems) she reminds me a lot of Ansel of Briarcliff. Plus just how she pulls off the many layers of Sansa is a lot like how Ansel is too. AND if you don’t think she can do ACTION then she was also in the movie Barely Lethal as a teenage spy and X-Men Apocalypse as Jean Gray (granted a lot of those action sequences were probably done by a stunt double, but like hey they’d probably do something similar with ToG). What do you guys think?
