She can’t say that to her face, but she needs her close, she wants to feel that Maca is there and she’s listening, so she asks her to wash her hair.

“There’s no reason to run, if you have a home.” I have no words to express all of the feels this gives me. She’s telling her that she finally found her home, after running from all the places she’s been, and the one place she’d want to stay (or the person she’d want to stay for/with), is the one she’s being forced to leave.

“The time we spent on the van, that roulotte, is the closest I’ve had to a home.” Knowing this was coming still did not make me ready. Also, Macarena’s face the momet she realizes this is a goodbye.

“I wanted you to know.” It’s so soft. And her turning her head a bit, wanting to look at her but still not being able to.

And of course their dumb asses can’t ever share a moment that’s not followed by a deep denial and trying to distance themselves from their feelings
