I want to start posting on this blog again. Since I graduated from school last summer, I got a job as a substitute teacher at one of my former schools. Well, as basically everything else right now, my school is closed. I haven’t got a lot to do at the moment, so I’m reading a lot. Therefore, I’m planning to do a few aestethic pictures and book rewievs. Most of my books are in danish, but I’ll try to remember to post the english title. I hope you’ll enjoy my plan.

3,000-Year-Old Cooking Mistake Revealed

Archaeologists in Denmark have found evidence of a 3,000 year-old cooking mistake that casts some light into the everyday life of Scandinavian Bronze Age people.

Clear evidence for one of the most common mistakes in the kitchen – burning food – lay in a clay pot that was excavated in central Jutland, Denmark.

The clay vessel was found, upturned and in near mint condition, at the bottom of what was once a waste pit.

“The pot is typical for cooking vessels in this region of Denmark. It was accompanied by several other objects fitting the dating,” archaeologist Kaj F. Rasmussen from Museum Silkeborg, Denmark, told Discovery News. Read more.

idk man, i just have this weird affinity with all classics majors like. the kinship of an intimate greek or latin class is incredible, and unlike a lot of other humanities majors, there are usually relatively few classics majors within a school. and i guess it’s because classics is such a difficult, challenging major that doesn’t have any practical payoff… so you know that no one is there for the money or because their parents pressured them or because it’s what they feel they should do. like classics majors are genuinely all there because we all have this inexplicable l o v e for the such a strange and specific study and we put ourselves through the torture of languages because we WANT TO and i just think that’s really cool and special

I got 12 (the highest grade here in Denmark) on my exam! It was an oral exam based on a 15 paged research paper, which I wrote this spring.

The picture is a mini representation of a studenterhue, a cap which all students g’et when they finish the gymnasium. I g’et the real thing when I oficially graduate in two weeks.
