literally what possible rationalization could they have for this
I really had thought it was impossible for me to be more disgusted with book banning policies in prisons than I already was, but absolutely fucking nothing could have prepared me for the fiery torrential outrage I experienced just now when I learned that prisons in the State of New Jersey have banned the book "101 Things to Do With Mac and Cheese"
“Nobody’s going to want to sit on high-speed rail for fifteen hours to get from New York City to LA.”
Me. I will sit on high-speed rail for fifteen hours. I’ll sit on it for days. I’ll write and read and nap and eat and then do it all over again. I’ll stare out the windows and see America from ground level and not have to drive. I’ll see the Rockies and the deserts and cornfields and the Mississippi River and your house and yours and yours too. I’ll make up stories in my head about the small towns I see as we go along. I’ll see the states I’ve yet to see because driving or flying there is a fucking slog and expensive to boot. I’ll enjoy the ride as much as the destination. And then I’ll do it all over again to come the fuck home.
does anyone else remember when that twitter user’s phone put together a slideshow with their photos but it was all photos of the car crash they were in set to “we like to party” by Vengaboys because every time I think of it I go insane still. Just the opening “BWAAAAAAAAA” over the car crash photos is all it takes to break me down completely.
North American golf courses have had 50-100 years of arsenic and mercury based fungicide and herbicides applied to their soils.
Do not eat anything that has been grown on a golf course or downstream from a golf course. I know it sounds cool and radical, but you are too valuable to poison yourself with heavy metals.
Protect each other, turn your local golf course into a pollinator garden, not a sex forest or community garden.
