Our internet is finally back so I’m just gonna share some of my thoughts on Booker 

Does it make anyone else’s heart like h u r t when you think about how he betrayed his family because he just wanted to end it all for good like he said Joe and Nicky always had each other and Andy had Quynh (and hopefully will get her again if there is a sequel) and both of those couples are immortal and both of them never had children 

But Booker? He had no one to stay with him, he lost his 3 sons, his wife passed, his son didn’t believe him and in that flashback scene his son is gonna die and he is angry at his dad and like knowing that your son basically died angry at you must hurt like a motherfucker 

Also throughout the movie he is constantly drinking alcohol like he is clearly very depressed and it didn’t help that Joe and NIcky were a reminder of his love for his wife (He is clearly happy for them but speaking from personal experience as someone who has been very very depressed twice when you see people happy and in love feels like alcohol in the wound) and him and Andy are kind of feeding off each others negativity (Andy at the beginning of the movie believes the world is just bad and it seems like nothing they do is enough that is proven wrong when you see the board with all the ways the team have helped)

I’m probably not explaining it very well because I got 2 hours of sleep but please read this amazing fic that basically has all of my thoughts on him and the aftermath of the end of the movie

Y'all can we please stop putting down other wlw shows for giving us what they can?

Stop shitting on Korrasami when they had to fight hard to even give us that ending.

Stop shitting on Steven Universe when Sugar was the first to really give us an actual wlw marriage on screen.

Stop shitting on She-ra for "not giving it to us till the last episode" or "some six blush lines vs a whole red face" when Noelle had to strategically plan the show to make sure it ended the way it did.

Stop shitting on and putting down actually good representation that we get in these shows. They're all important.

Korrasami, Catradora, Garnet (Ruby/Sapphire), Bubbline have all been extremely important and have done so much for us. And I'm glad they were able to pace the way to give us what we have in Owl House
