it’s been a while since your family moved in Encanto, but you didn’t got the chance to appreciate the beauty of the place because you don’t want to go outside. You kinda hate going outside because you hate seeing people staring at you and being the center of attention.

So you think being indoors is the best. You were just being yourself inside your house or at your room to be specific. Your cousin, Maria, who grew up in Encanto asked you to go with her to attend of some kind of ceremony she said you just replied with a “no, i‘m not going“

“But y/n, you should go and see this“ your cousin groaned “you know that this would be your chance to get out of your comfort zone noh?“ she added “No, Maria no is a no“ you replied

“Just this once Por favor, this is the time where you can actually get to know the Madrigals y/n!“

“The amazing who now?“ you asked your cousin “That‘s what you get for always staying at your room!”

”you don’t even know who they are Dios mío! They are the ones who welcomed you here in Encanto do you remember now?“ she added

you just nodded in reply

“I can’t believe that you actually forgot who welcomed you here” she said as she shakes her head in disbelief “Well it’s not my problem that i have a bad memory” you shrugged

“Can i backout?” You asked her “Nope“ as she drags you to the entrance of the house, the house was beautiful you thought it’s full of colors and flowers that makes the house more beautiful

you kinda regretted staying in your room for the first time

“Bienvenido, María and who are you again“ the curly haired boy asked you while welcoming you and your cousin “Hola, Camilo this is my cousin y/n, She just moved with her family three weeks ago“ your cousin introduced you. You waved your hand

”oh, i forgot hehe anyways welcome to La Casa Madrigal nice meeting you Señorita y/n” as he kisses the back of your hand leaving you in shock “see you guys around!” As he went to the other guest to greet them.

The ceremony was about to start as you were standing beside you cousin you saw the camilo guy as he saw you and obviously waved at you “Y/n, Camilo is waving at you wave back“ your cousin whispered as you waved back shyly and awkwardly having your cousin laughing at you again.

The ceremony ended and not gonna lie you were shocked seeing the ceremony the whole door thing, and the animals too! And seeig the boy´s room IT´S BIGGER ON THE INSIDE it looks like a jungle and now you´re by yourself because your cousin was being called by her parents.

Camilo approached you “hey y/n right? Why are you alone here and where are your parents“ he asked you

“My parents? They‘re staying the house they said its ok for me to go alone“ you said awkwardly

does he think that you´re being weird already?

”Where’s Maria she’s with you right?“ he asked you again and you said that she’s being called by her parents “If that’s the case let me stay with you until Maria comes back“

“No, its ok i can wait for Maria by myself” you said but he insisted

“I‘ve never seen you around Encanto after you moved in here? Can you tell me why?” he looked at you “i don’t like being outdoors“ you answered him “I just think that staying in my room is the best thing ever, i could do whatever i want without people looking at me and thinking i was weird and“ you suddenly got cut off by him

“Why did you think that people thinks that you’re weird? Me, i don’t think you’re weird. You’re just shy“ he said

“How did you know?“ you questioned him

“well Maria told me that you’re a shy person” he said

”Oh, why did she“ you were about to throw hands then he laughed “You know y/n, you’re a funny person“

“I think we’re compatible“ He teases you as you hid your face in your hands “No no i’m just joking sorry did i make you uncomfortable i promise i never do it again i’m sorry- oh i thought you were crying Y/n are you ok? Your face looks red“ he asked you, and you nodded.

You and camilo have a great talk, him telling jokes about his family and complimenting himself and that’s where you thought you want him to be your friend but how? You don’t know how to make friends

“Ah right you don’t know how to make friends” Maria remembered “you can straight up ask him right? You can do that right?” She asked you as you shook your head “of course you don’t” she groaned

you’re going home but you were having trouble thinking of a way to ask Camilo to be your friend as Maria saw him “That’s him! This is your chance” is she serious right now? you don’t even know how to ask him “Camilo!“ she yelled his name as he came to you and Maria

“hey Maria and y/n do you guys need something?” He asked you two “Oh y/n haas something to tell you, i gotta go bye“ did she just leave you behind? With him

this is going to be so awkward for you

“What is it y/n” he asked you “oh…it’s nothing i need to go bye its nice meeting you Camilo” you were saying goodbye

”Uh wait don’t go yet“ he said “Can i ask you something?“

“You’re already asking me now what do you mean?” You were joking

“Ha-ha funny y/n but seriously can i“ He asked you ”sure“

”Can we be friends？”

you don’t need to ask him anymore he already asked you, you don’t have any problems anymore. You were delighted finally having a friend this is your first time being asked to be someone‘s friend

”Sure i’m happy to be friends with you Camilo” you smiled at him so that’s the feeling, it felt nice

“Yes! Thank you! from now on you’re now my bestie“ he said that made you laugh “Why are you laughing” he exclaimed “nothing i just felt really glad having a bestie“ you said

“Y/N! Let’s go home now“ Maria suddenly shouted, was she staying behind that tree the whole time?

“Bye Camilo see you around! let’s talk tomorrow“ you waved him goodbye as he did the same thing “Bye take care!”

Pebrero 14, Valentine’s day.

Isang araw upang ipagdiwang ang pag-ibig. Tuwing napapaisip ka sa mga magkasintahan na nadadaan mo, nag-iiwan ito ng mapait na lasa sa iyong bibig. Simula pagkabata, palagi mong pinangarap na makikilala mo ang iyong magiging nobyo o nobya at mararanasan mo rin ang matamis na pagmamahal galing sa kanya. Ngayong 18 ka na, nagdududa ka kung darating pa ba ang pagkakataong iyon.

“(Name)!” Sigaw ng isang pamilyar na boses.

Lumingon ka patungo sa kanya, isang ngiti gumuguhit sa iyong mukha. “Camilo, huy!” Kinawayan mo ang iyong kaibigan. “Ba’t ang sungit mo naman tingnan, ha? Iniwan ka ba?” Biro ng lalaki, inirapan mo na lamang siya ng mata. “Ha-ha, nakakatawa.”

“Ikaw talaga, di mabiro. Ang pangit mong kabonding, kaya ka mag-isa pa rin hanggang ngayon.” Sabi ni Camilo, sabay tawa.

“Wow, hiyang-hiya. Grabe ka makapagsalita, akala mo di ka rin mag-isa.” Ganti mo.

“Syempre, alam mo naman ako…” Tumikhim ang binata at kumanta: “Mabuti nang mag-isa, nang makilala ko muna ang sarili, pag-ibig muna para sa –”

Napabuntong-hininga ka na lang sa ka-artehan ng iyong kaibigan. “Tigilan mo na konsyerto mo, ukay-ukay bersyon ni Yeng Constantino.”

Kitang-kita sa mukha ni Camilo ang sakit na nararamdaman niya sa iyong pananalita. “Ukay-ukay?! SA BOSES KONG ‘TO?”

“Ay, edi wag. Ano gusto mo? Palengke bersyon?”

Inilagay ni Camilo ang kanyang kamay sa dibdib niya at pinikit ang mga mata. “Mapanakit ka masyado, (name)! Wala bang kabutihan diyan sa puso mo?”

Napatawa ka na lang. “Para sayo? Wala.”

Napaluha ang iyong kaibigan, ngunit alam mong sadyang madrama lang talaga siya. “Pighati, hapis, lungkot, dalamhati, sakit, lumbay, hinagpis – “

“Ay nako, oo na. Pasensya na. Alam mo naman na mahal kita, Camilo.” Isang mahinang suntok sa braso ng iyong kaibigan. Namula ang kanyang pisngi, subalit hindi mo ito napansin.

Napatahimik nalang siya. Mahal niya ako… ngunit bilang isang kaibigan lang.

Nang mapansin mo ang biglang katahimikan ni Camilo, ibinuka mo ang iyong bibig upang magtanong. "Cami—"

"(Name), ikaw ba yan?" may biglang nagtanong. Napalingon kayong dalawa sa kung sino man ang nagsalita.

"Daniel?"

"Pasensya na... nakakaabala ba ako?" Tanong ni Daniel.

Oo, tangina mo. Lumayas ka na, pwede ba? Inisip ni Camilo.

Kilala si Daniel sa pagiging palikero niya. Linggo-linggo, may bago siyang kasama, lalake man o babae. Sinubukan niya na rin ligawan si Mirabel, ngunit hindi nagpaloko ang dalaga.

Nginitian mo siya, "Ay, hindi naman. May kailangan ka ba?"

Ngumisi si Daniel, at sa isang pitik ng kanyang dalira, may naghatid sa kanya ng isang pumpon ng bulaklak. "Pinatubo ko ito para sayo, aking diwata."

Inirapan ni Camilo ang binata. Aking diwata? Ang korni. Mukha bang tanga sayo si (name)? Hindi siya magpapa –

“Aba! Para sakin?” Masaya mong kinuha ang mga bulaklak sa kamay niya. “Salamat, Daniel, ngayon ko lang naranasan na mabigyan ng bulaklak!” ang iyong sinabi. “Walang anuman, medyo nakakapagtaka nga lang na wala pang nakakapagbigay sa iyo ng mga ganito.”

Nagkatinginan ang dalawang binata. “Ah, (name), may mga gagawin ka ba ngayon? Kung wala, maari ba kitang–”

“Hindi puwede, Daniel. Pasensya na.” BIglang singit ni Camilo. Tumawa na lamang si Daniel at sinabi: “Ikaw ba si (name)?”

Naningkit ng mata si Camilo, at tinaasan siya ni Daniel ng kilay. Dito mo na napansin ang tensyon na nakapaligid sa dalawang lalaki. “U-Uh… Okay lang ba–”

“Tigilan mo nga si (name). Alam ko mga balak mo, Daniel.” Sabi ni Camilo.

“Ang aking balak ay mahalin siya, may problema ba tayo roon?” Ang sagot ni Daniel.

“Mahalin?” Tumawa ang binatang naka dilaw. “Maniwala ako! Nagsinungaling ka pa nga na ikaw nagpapatubo ng mga bulaklak na bigay mo sa kanya, eh! Nakita kita, pinilit mo si Isabela na gawan ka ng pumpon!”

“Ano bang nangya–”

Hindi ka na naman pinatapos at biglaan kang hinila ni Daniel papunta sa kanya. “Aray! Bitiwan mo’ko!” Sigaw mo.

“Iwanan mo na ‘tong lalaking ‘to, (name). Kung ano-ano pinagsasabi.”

Inalis ni Camilo ang kamay niya sa iyo at hinila ka paalis. Nang mawala na si Daniel sa iyong paningin, tsaka lumingon ang ‘iyong kaibigan sa iyo. “Camilo! Ano ba ‘yon?!”

Bago magsalita, huminga muna siya ng malalim. “Gusto mo ba siya?” Tanong niya. Naguguluhan ka na, ano ba talagang meron? “Aba, hindi! Natuwa lang ako sa mga bulaklak.” Gumaan ang pakiramdam ni Camilo nang marinig niya iyan. “Mabuti naman.”

Tumahimik ang paligid ng ilang sandali. Ipinasok ni Camilo ang kanyang kamay sa bulsa na parang bang may hinahalungkat. Naglabas siya ng isang… liham? Inabot niya ito sayo, halatang kabado. Binuklat mo ang liham at binasa ang nilalaman:

“Mahal kong (Name),

Sa pamamagitan ng liham ko ipapaalam ang aking nararamdaman para sa iyo. Didiretso na ‘ko sa punto; mahal kita. Hindi ko inaasahan na ganito rin ang nararamdaman mo para sa akin, ngunit nais ko lamang na malaman mo. Sapat na sa akin ang kung anong meron tayo, pero naiintindihan ko rin naman kung gusto mo nang itigil ang pagiging kaibigan natin dahil dito.”

Tinitigan mo si Camilo, walang kasiguraduhan sa kung anong dapat mong sabihin. “Ayaw na ayaw kong maging makasarili, pero… kung sapat lang sayo, akin ka nalang, (name). Iingatan ko ang puso mo, pangako ko ‘yon. Kapag sumama ka kay Daniel, dadagdag ka lang sa milyun milyong babae n’ya.”

“Sinisiraan mo ba si Daniel?” Tanong mo.

Napailing si Camilo. “Hindi naman sa sinisiraan ko ‘yang panget na ‘yan–”

“Camilo.”

“Patawad, pero totoo naman! Malangis lang ang dila niya, wag kang magpapadala sa kanya, (name).” sabi ng binata.

“‘Wag ka sakin magduda, (name). Hinding-hindi kita pababayaan, ipinapangako ko. Mamahalin kita hanggang sa huli kong hininga… kung bibigyan mo ako ng pagkakataon na patunayan ito.”

Natawa ka na lamang sa kanyang sinabi. “Ikaw talaga… Sige na, iyong-iyo na ‘ko.”

“(Name)...” Marahan niyang hinawakan ang iyong mukha, dahan-dahang lumapit sa iyo. Tinulak mo siya pa-alis. “Bagalan muna natin ng onti, Camilo. Ligawan mo muna ako.”

Ngumuso si Camilo, ngunit sinunod ka niya. Hinalikan niya ang likod ng iyong kamay at nginitian ka niya. “Mahal kita, (name). Hindi mo ‘to pagsisisihan, ako nagsasabi sayo.”

At tulad ng sinabi niya, hindi mo nga pinagsisihan. Minahal ka niya ng tunay, siya ang una at huli mong iibigin.

And he’s also the one who told you that Flowers have other uses not just decorations.

“What are you doing here?” Isabela asked you out of nowhere while you were admiring the red tulips “What?“ you asked her back ”What are you doing here Y/n L/n?” She asked you again she’s so annoying you thought. “Am i not allowed to visit this shop huh?” you said as you raise your eyebrow “Yes“ she answered your question you’re getting annoyed.

As everybody was busy, you and Isabela discussed on what flowers to use “How about Daffodils?” You suggested “Daffodils represent new beginnings, Antonio having a gift, it could be a new beginning for him“ you added

“oh that’s a nice idea Let‘s use Daffodils then” She said as she decorated the walls with the flower you suggested “Gracias, Y/n“ she thanked you. Wow that’s new, Isabela never thanked you before and be nice to you, maybe because it’s Antonio’s ceremony you thought.

“No hay problema, Isabela, did something happened to you by any chance?” You asked her “Nothing? Why?” she looked at you innocently “You’re being…nice to me today and it’s starting to get weird”

“Oh so you don’t want me to be nice to you huh?” She said as she puts her hand oh her waist “No it’s not like that, it’s because you’re not this nice to me before since we were kids it just felt weird to get this kind of treatment from you”

“I just want to do something, for a change” she answered “and by the way, you’re the one who’s not being nice to me“ she chuckled “Excuse me? you put flowers on my mouth when we were ten! i will not forget about that“ you exclaimed “You’re being annoying that time, i don’t have any choice”

“Isabela, Abuela said she needs you“ Luisa called her “I need to go now Y/n thanks for the help, let’s talk later” she said as she go upstairs to meet her Abuela

”So you two finally made up huh?” Dolores suddenly appeared on your side “Dolores! Since when you got here huh?” you asked her “Oh just 2 minutes ago” she squeaks

“You were talking with Isabela, and it seems that you were having fun with her“ she observed “No i’m not!“ you denied “Maybe you did“ she teases you
