funny how this dialogue exists but no one thought about how it gives you Minthara's approximate age?

Minthara is 200-250 yo because she was young and impressionable when Viconia lost Lolth’s favor, so between 1-25yo since female drow enter Arach-Tinilith at 25 and will be indoctrinated here in the drow racist way. Once at the academy, Minthara would have seen enough horrors that it wouldn't have been that shocking, more like a routine.

The time between Viconia leaving House DeVir and the DeVirs being killed is unknown. You don’t even know if Malice was planning the attack for a while, or if they attacked directly after they lost the favor. Or idk did she get pregnant only for the attack and they were without favor for a while?

Because it’s not like Houses without Lolth's favor get eliminated directly, it took the Hun'ett and the Do'Urden 10 years to both be eliminated (by Jarlaxle and his band btw)

But by 1297, Drizzt’s year of birth, Minthara should be between 1-25 + 0-5 years.

By 1494 the event of BG3, Minthara is 200+ years old (making her the third oldest character in the team).

That also makes her Yvonnel's first grandchild lol.

Sometimes when I see certain takes I'm just wondering if we're playing the same game.

Why is Minthara so evil? Idk man, but maybe because she spent the last 3 or more centuries being raised in what's essentially an evil cult-turned-whole society where backstabbing and murder are not only the social norm but encouraged while serving a goddess that is notorious for turning people into grotesque spider-human abominations for shits and giggles only to be betrayed by her ex, subjected to mind control and torture and lost her home all in what's essentially a few weeks. But it's just a hunch.

Also ppl r sleeping so hard on the Minthara and Durge parallels.
