2023 I sincerely hope this drama takes home all the awards for 2023!!!!!!!! XD In all seriousness, this drama is in a league of its own. The main leads are so talented as well as the whole cast itself and the chemistry. I am sure it took a lot of hard work to prepare and display such a superb performance from everyone. The cinematography is also equally amazing. Namgoong Min...what can I say...He is a truly versatile actor and really a veteran at this. He has proven himself time and time again. He's come a very long way, and so very proud of him.

Ahn Eunjin. Something about her acting feels very refreshing, raw, and real. Also refined. Very talented and able to carry her own weight just fine. I hope they win best couple too!! :)

Dramas 2023

Just some of my thoughts for some of the dramas of 2023...

-KING THE LAND !!!!! The natural chemistry between the main leads is just so so soooo real that it makes it hard to believe that they're "just friends" in reality; However, at the same time it makes sense, as both Junho and Yoona have been in the entertainment industry and have known each other for a long time (2pm and SNSD go wayyyy back, IYKYK). I'm kind of surprised it took them this long to meet for a drama project, but as a fan of both 2pm and SNSD, I'm so glad to see them both working together again. There are so many funny moments in this drama and the added sound effects and acting make some of the scenes so funny. I also like the easter eggs added in the drama haha. Definitely a feel-good drama. I ship the main leads..!! They already know each other so well and they're also starting to look the same haha. -See You in My 19th Life This series is based on the webtoon, and the drama was surprisingly not bad. Ahn Bo Hyun and Shin Hye Sun both are great together, and I feel like recently Shin Hye Sun has been typecasted into these somewhat typical bold, fearless characters that are also seemingly reflective of her own personality but in this drama I was able to kind of see somewhat of a different side to her (hard to explain hahah). And Ahn Bo Hyun...he's very versatile as an actor. And finding out that he's now dating Jisoo of BP...super unexpected haha !! The drama itself is somehow comforting with all the characters meshing well together. Pleasant~~

-Celebrity Hmmmmm this one was great but something about the female lead I can't put my finger on.. While I do feel like her acting has improved over the years and I see that in some scenes of this drama as well, there were parts where it just seemed flat but I'm not sure if it's just how her character was written. The storyline itself was definitely interesting nonetheless, and I didn't have much expectations going into it, but it does touch upon the effects of social media in modern times and I liked the mystery/thriller type of vibe.

-D.P. Star-studded cast; haven't watched this yet but excited to pick up where they left off for season 1.

-The Real Has Come The cast is talented and there are strong characters in this drama and lots of twists and funny moments. It's light and funny, but there's 50 episodes so there are definitely times where it's a bit draggy but also that's typical of any family dramas. -Oasis Jang Dong Yoon!!! Hahaha I think the cast did a great job with their portrayals though I feel like Jang Dong Yoon just has such a baby-face and looks like he wouldn't hurt a fly but he looked so cool playing this role as Lee Doo Hak. I liked the old-fashioned style of this drama as it took place in the 80s-90s Korea, so it was really refreshing to see the type of fashion, dialects and overall atmosphere during that time through this drama, and think about how much has changed. There were parts of the drama that felt a little repetitive, but I think overall the cast made up for it. -Apple of My Eye (금이야, 옥이야) Typical family drama, a little predictable but expected haha.

Something I'll never get over as a kdrama fan because I'll always wonder "what if?": Even after all these years, I still love the OST for this drama very much....but it just kills me that there was SO MUCH POTENTIAL for this drama to be a huge hit especially with the original casting of Kwon Sang Woo alongside Song Seungheon.... They had such great chemistry ughhhhhh :( But unfortunately Song Seungheon had to drop out because of military service.. :( He had already filmed some scenes (as seen a bit later in this music video) and even recorded a song for the soundtrack, and it was just so nice seeing the onscreen chemistry between the main leads ughhhh.

Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce) Season 3

****MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS**** When it was announced that three of the original cast members would be replaced (Lee Taegon, Sung Hoon, Kim Boyeon), in truth I was disappointed. The first two seasons with the original cast and their chemistry were everything. The actors replacing such strong characters must have had a hard time fulfilling their roles with a lot of pressure after the already-established two seasons. After watching the first two episodes of this new season, it just feels a little off and the dynamic is not the same. The presence and charisma of the new actors isn't as strong as the actors from the original cast. Maybe it's too soon to say?

Lee Taegon's character Shin Yu Shin....very big shoes to fill for the new actor (Ji Youngsan) taking on this role. The charisma and chemistry that Lee Taegon brought to the character and drama is unmatched.

The naive innocence that Sung Hoon brought to the role of Pan Sa Hyun... I don't quite see it in Kang Shin Hyo's acting yet, but we will see ? Lee Hye-Sook taking on the role of Kim Dong Mi...also very large shoes to fill. It's definitely not the same, but you can tell that she did put in a lot of effort trying to perfect the character's charm, wit, and dialogue. And as expected of writer Im Sung Han, there are plenty of ridiculous twists for the viewers...but the way Song Won was killed off...just awful as I also saw her as a main character...However, as said, this isn't unexpected coming from this writer. But just a part of me wants to believe it's just a joke or a dream...we will see what happens..??

Can't say I'm not disappointed but let's see what Season 3 offers...Still it's intriguing to me what they will do with these characters, and plot/storyline.

These days, this song has been on repeat and also stuck in my head (also on repeat in my mind haha).

I wasn't expecting too much going into this drama, but it surprisingly struck many chords for me and left a mark. I think I felt emotional in some parts of the drama as well, and found myself feeling a lot of different things. This drama had a little bit of everything sprinkled in, but it was also very healing actually (just as this song is, along with some of the other songs on the OST).

And even though Kim Seon Ho has been embroiled in a situation that pretty much ruined his reputation at the peak of his fame, in light of recent news reports that may have changed the public's perception of him to a more positive light, perhaps he can get the courage to get back up.
