JESSE THE MISCREANT
the player can trigger the meeting event with jesse by going to the rear playground after school when the math competition has happened. if pc hasn't made any attempts meeting them, the meeting event will randomly trigger when pc comes late to the swimming class.
jesse is described to have a taller and leaner build than pc, if pc's body type is normal and below. they're seen as somewhat genderly ambiguous with an angry expression. both of their feminine and masculine counterpart is known to wear a black jacket over their uniforms. their feminine counterpart has longer hair, which will later be revealed that it is just a clip-on.
jesse is a temporary stimulant dealer. their prices for the drugs is cheap but only effective for a specific time of the day. they will not appear at school in the weekends.
jesse is paired with four attributes: love, lust, dominance and benefit. only dominance will always associate with jesse if the player want the relationship to be seller to buyer, maximum of 100%. if the player want to romance jesse, they have to decrease dominance by running errands for them and helping them promoting their business. finishing lowering dominance, jesse will offer pc a variety of cosumable for raising pc's skills and core characteristics permanently, gifts for other love interests. getting further into the type of relationship that pc wants with jesse is also a plus.
if pc makes it clear to jesse that they befriending them with ulterior motives, all of jesse's current attributes will be replaced with benefit. with benefit 's in place, jesse will become unromanceable, therefore will be only approacheable for transaction or questing. however, jesse will help the player out to repay their debts. at low benefit, jesse will give the player more tips at their job, they appear often when pc works at the cafe or the office building. at high benefit, jesse will decrease the work time of the job if they happen to visit the player. all these events will trigger at encounter rate of 30%, not accepting jesse's offer doesn't decrease benefit.
romancing jesse is simple like any other love interests. at this point, the player can find out that jesse is also a resident at the orphanage, but hasn't came back for a long time since they graduated. they aren't much older than pc although they still wear their school uniforms mostly for running their business with the students smoothly, or maybe it's actually for their identity, they mention briefly. jesse will show up with their respective other counterpart (they will show up more frequently with their feminine outwards if pc's initial meeting with them is masculine-based and vice versa).
love and lust will entirely replace dominance if pc decides to show obvious attraction to jesse. although building up lust is very difficult with them since they tend to advoid replying to pc's flirting, although some of the lines can it affect the attribute. jesse has one quest to offically become pc's love interest named "the field of youth". the quest includes three heist missions to a three locations set, one can only happen in one night, a two-week break is required inbetween. the set can be randomnized with different executing hour and difficulty: the neighborhood (domus houses, danube houses, strip club), the associate (police station, office building, hospital), the underworld (the docks, the brothel, the factory). these heists are unrepeatable, but can be played again if pc and jesse fail to finish. completing one of these quests will increase pc's crime stat for 300. jesse will also give the player a 60% share of the money if a heist is successful.
succeeding one of the heists will let the player has a option to get jesse become their offical love interest. succeeding three heists will open up the last quest named "the truth of youth". it is a long term quest if the player wants to learn more about the town, including the underground farm, the temple and the asylum. the truth requires preparations, be alerted.
these quests are available even if jesse's in benefit state. although the player will do all the preparations instead of jesse.
after dismissing orlean, jesse will rarely appear for a while. when pc goes to the garden of the orphanage, they will notice the body has been dug up alongside the rustic knife with high tending skill. no shorter than a week, a grave will appear near the beach on the coastal path to the farm. also with high tending skill, the player can make out the carving on the gravestone, seemingly "orlean cadler" with unintelligle numbers below the name. the rustic knife, broken in half, is neatly placed in front of the grave. jesse will come back to their usual schedule as if nothing has happened, pc would rather not make a comment about jesse's absence.
if the player accepts orlean's and jesse's confession on the same day, their dual route will begin.

you are on the rooftop of a commercial building. you can access the shopping centre from here. buildings are closely packed, crossing between them should be no problem.
orlean and their friends agree to work on here for the meantime.
(1) approach orlean
(2) approach page and ripley

you approach orlean. they hum as an acknowledgement.

"am i generous? answering your worries and all", orlean chirps as they slides a paper toward you with pen in hand, "so a 100 to talk to the big boss themselves".
orlean earns a hit to the head from page who goes back to sit beside ripley, pretending nothing has happened. fortunately, they dont mind the hit as much as you expect.
they scrunch their eyebrows, takes the paper away, "fine! no fee then".
(1) ask about robin
you ask orlean about their opinion on robin. orlean looks up from their paperwork and tilt their head to the side. they seem to wonder for a moment, keep gesturing weird signals to themselves, maybe letting you know they're trying.
"the kid that just bought a game console?", orlean turn their eyes to you for approval. they do know everything, to your surprise.
you nod.
orlean chuckle, "they will lose it sooner or later".
they continue their work right after. their comment on robin doesn't take your feelings in account. nonetheless, they don't show remorse in their answer.
(2) ask about kylar
you ask orlean about their opinion on kylar.
suddenly, the amostphere between you and them goes eerily quiet, which makes you sweat nervously. | +stress
"who?", in calmness, orlean reply after a long wait, still dont take their eyes off work. you breath out in relief.
although you doubt that they're just pretending.
(3) ask about sydney
you ask orlean about their opinion on sydney. you notice that they morph their face into annoyance when the name is mentioned.
"sirris's kid is so uptight. i cant keep up with their unusual habit anymore", they sighs dramatically. they point to their forehead, even though there's no sign of marker on there, "the reason why i dont rent books".
orlean take a break talking about their experience with sydney. it sounds like orlean and syney are acquaintances.
(4) ask about whitney
you ask orlean about their opinion on whitney. their face turns up a more angry expression, surprisingly they dont lash out. they hesitate to answer for a moment.
an stroke of uncertainty written on orlean's face, they puff, "potentially good candidate for staff but an ass nonetheless".
they goes back to work shortly.
(5) ask about jesse
you ask orlean about their opinion on jesse.
orlean immediately shot their eyes upward to meet yours, their posture is still and tense. the amostphere around you is so thick that you can cut it with a knife.
orlean let you go when they notice they have successfully scared you, "if you're expecting an answer, be dissapointed". they refuse to make eyes contact with you after staring at table for a few minutes. page and ripley look over with worry toward you, at least that's what you think.
you decide to advoid orlean for them to cool off but you can't shake off the feeling of being watched. | +stress

ORLEAN THE INFORMANT
the player can trigger orlean's meeting event by eating lunch at the cafeteria. whatever pc responds, they wont make an good impression on orlean. to initiate orlean's route, pc needs to at least has one established fame or scores a* on all the subjects.
orlean is a beautiful and popular student at school but their vindictive and judgemental nature doesnt make them very approachable. they seems to value beauty (mostly themselves) the most on the surface. its a rumour that orlean runs an information service with their friends, page and ripley, and makes quite a fortune. orlean also takes a liking to talk bad about students, if pc is affected by the rumours, their status at school will decrease.
the chance of a rumour becoming bigger can constantly happen if pc's reputation is lower than 200. beware of your interaction with orlean.
orlean is paired with five attributes: dominance, trust, love, lust and hatred. when pc meets the requirement to initiate orlean's route, they will be forced to be part of orlean's information service and will be rewarded at the end of weekday depends on the work pc has done. orlean's dominance will starts off at 50% along side with trust at 0%. working with orlean's clique equals a tremendous amount of work (which includes weird kink related topics and illegal underworld's information). orlean will manipulate pc into doing what they wants if pc refuses to work on the requests which will raises dominance and makes it harder for pc to refuse later on.
trust will be increased if pc has successfully done the work. there will be at least one costumer request and one orlean's request a week and they have to be done by monday next week. if pc fails to complete them, they have to pay back orlean the service price or orlean will actively decrease pc's reputation for the next three days if pc refuses to pay . pc's salary will depends on how well they do their weekly work: putting up service poster, spreading rumours, finding "work" material and the requests segment, the wages will range from 150拢 to 2000拢.
orlean's friends will also be an advantage for the player. page the omniscient, will provide the player information about one-time outside work to gain a huge sum of money with the cost of 100拢. ripley the guile will gift pc clothes on random occassions.
when trust reachs 80% and dominance to 0%, orlean will have conflicted feelings for pc and love will appear to replace dominance. orlean wont face pc as much as before to the point their friends have to be the one to inform pc about work. when pc asks about orlean, they will always respond back with nothing more than reassurance. instead pc will encounter with orlean more in the orphanage at night, usually after 21:00pm.
orlean will come back to school to confess to pc, after love reaches 40%. if pc refuses, their relationship will be continued as colleagues. if pc accepts, orlean's route will step into its climax. building up love with orlean is similar to any other love interests. although its impossible to increase their lust as it is not available at the moment. orlean eventually let pc do less work and gives them money above 300拢 every week.
the route will have two quests to determine orlean's persecptive on pc when love reaches 90%. pc will be approached by the strange man who threatens pc to leak out the r*pe fame that orlean has been hiding to protect their popularity. if the player choose not to side with him, they will process "beginning of youth", they have to protect orlean and themselves from harrassment (encounter rates for both will increase) and if successfully do so after a week will make lust appears as orlean moves on from the rumour. if the player choose to leak the information themselves, "ending of youth" will begin, orlean's route will enter its state.
hatred will now appear at max of 100%, replace all the other stats and cannot be decreased. if pc comes to their room, they will notice page is stealing all their clothes and will be knocked out by ripley. page and ripley will not be approachable. orlean wont be seen at school and orphanage instead will actively seek out pc outside and attempts to kill them. if the player escape from orlean's encounter, the rate will gradually increase and makes future encounters more dangerous. the only solution for the player is to dismiss orlean by killing them. if orlean notices pc is planning to dismiss them, npc initiating nonconsensual encounters with pc will raise. after dismissing orlean, the player can bury their body in the garden of the orphanage (where they will find a rustic knife also buried down there), this will increase pc's crime for 800.
if the player accepts orlean's and jesse's confession on the same day, their dual route will begin.
