Just a gentle reminder for tumblr users with anxiety, panic disorders or who get nervous quickly: 

- Chain mail, “reblog this or..” posts etc. don’t work. They’re not real. Nothing bad will happen if you don’t forward that mail or reblog that post. 

- “If you don’t reblog this, you’re a bad person” is a lie. You’re not a bad person for not clicking a button.

If a father and his son got into a car accident today, and to save the son’s life he needed an emergency kidney transplant and the father was a perfect match…

…there isn’t a court on this earth that would force that father to donate that kidney. They wouldn’t force him to donate even a single drop of blood.

Why? Because we, as people, generally hold to Bodily Autonomy - aka, the idea that the person who’s body it is, is the ultimate authority on what can happen to it. Even if it means pain or death to others.

It why people with major health conditions get tattoos sometimes about not wanting to be resucitated if they have a heart attack. It’s why we don’t harvest organs if your driver’s lives doesn’t have the ‘organ donor heart’. It’s why people create advance directives even when they’re young and healthy.

We believe that a persons body is their own, and they decide what to do with it.

After all, you never see the Red Cross strap me down and force me to donate blood, even though I’m a perfect donor and the Red Cross is severely low on blood. That would be insane!

And this is what abortion ultimately comes down to. We allow everyone to have bodily autonomy…but for some reason we deny that right to pregnant women? Or a regular, daily basis?

Pff, the Team would be SO jealous of Danny when they found out he had his own superhero team despite most of them being the same age as them.
