Here’s a megamix to buss it to on the 16th anniversary of Perfume’s Game. Which starts with a B-side which isn’t on the album and ends with a version of a single which also isn’t on the album.
🎈 Happy 16th anniversary to Perfume’s first studio album, Game. 🎈
I wasn’t fond of this album at first. And one commentor on my review summed up something I wouldn’t get about this album until later on — ‘Perfume is meant to be [visualised]’.
🎈 Happy 10th anniversary to Kylie Minogue’s twelfth studio album, Kiss Me Once 🎈
Released on 14 March 2014.
This album was not good. But it does feature the song “If Only”. Which is not only a clear standout on this album, but a song I’d deem as one of Kylie’s best.
🎈 Happy 18th anniversary to Crystal Kay’s sixth studio album, Call Me Miss... 🎈
This album features Crystal’s hit single “Koi ni Ochitara” (a song she doesn’t like) and fan favourite “Kirakuni” (a song which isn’t available on streaming globally).
Fans done ran up those Sugaabes leaks from a few years back. But it’s great to have them officially released, so everybody can listen to them legally and the Sugababes can get the coin they didn’t receive the first time around.
It’s a damn shame though. Because “Today” and “Summer of ‘99” had big hit potential. Neither of which hit the way they did in their leaked forms, unfortunately. But it’s a minor price to pay for finally having them available on streaming.
Remember You marks Ayumi Hamasaki’s first studio album in 7 years. Which is crazy considering she used to be putting out an album a year. Sometimes even two in a year. And quite frankly, she shouldn’t have bothered.
Remember You really shoulda just been a Best album to commemorate her 25th anniversary, with “Nonfiction”, “Summer Again” and “Mask” as ‘new’ songs.
It’s about time a dancer / choreographer put some respec’ on Crystal Kay’s discography and hit a routine to one of her songs. Too bad it’s to a song which STILL isn’t available on streaming globally - but that’s a whole other post. And I have my physical copy of Call Me Miss… [Looks over at CD shelf]
The dancer in this video is Ai Shimatsu. And if you’re a member of the BeyHive, then you absolutely know her most recently as one of the dancers on the Renaissance World Tour. But as per fellow Renny Tour dancers Les Twins, Hannah Douglass and Jonté, Ai goes WAY back with Beyoncé; having been one of her dancers back in 2011 during the promotional run of 4 and being one of the dancers on the Formation World Tour in 2016.
Crystal Kay herself has seen this video. Crystal and Ai have linked up. And I really hope that Ai choreographs something for Crystal one day.
