i switched from mac to a lenovo thinkpad (recommended by computer science people) and its been great for everything i need. they can be super expensive (i think the one i have was originally $3k) but they have amazing deals around certain holidays like memorial or labor day and black friday and stuff and i got this one for $800

HP's and chromebooks are so good !!! great battery life, basically able to do everything and they don't cost an arm and a leg !!! I also have an ipad and I got the apple pen and Keyboard with it and it's basically like having a macbook except not heavy, and slightly more affordable by a couple hundred !!

ooooh see ill def consider an hp or chromebook when my macbook finally decides to die on me!!! macs are nice but the prices hurt my soul
