my top bit of advice going into the new year: compliment people. especially strangers. literally everyone you interact with if you can. when you buy coffee in the morning compliment the barista's tattoos. when you're chatting with a coworker tell them that by the way you like their outfit. always find something they've chosen to do on purpose. nail polish, jewellery, tattoos, hair colour/style, statement accessory, outfit, etc are all good bets. things people hope will be noticed. things that aren't too personal so it doesn't make them uncomfortable (eg probably not their physical features). i've gotten into the habit of scanning everyone i talk to for something about them that i think is cool so i can tell them. it's a great habit because it makes me notice people and realise just how many neat little details there are in people's presentation of themselves that might pass me by if i wasn't paying attention. and it brings out so much joy. you'd be surprised how much it disarms people to receive an unexpected compliment from someone they don't know. it is the most sincere smile you will see all day long. it feels nice to make people happy but it also means you win the social interaction. establish dominance by complimenting a stranger's earrings and disappearing into the fog

Has anyone talked about the use of the word "Hysteria" as a diagnosis in The Sign? I mean, I haven't taken any psychology classes in 10 years but I'm pretty sure Hysteria has been obsolete for a long time.
At first I thought it was a weird translation in the subtitles but then when they brought it up again later in the episode, I heard the doctor say it.
Even in the original use of the term, I don't think hallucinations and delusions were part of the diagnosis.

Episode 9 of Last Twilight will stomp on your heart and you'll ask for more. It's a beautiful episode.
But I have one issue with it: the love scene could have been so much more. If I didn't know anything about the show and just watched that scene, I wouldn't have thought it was anything special. I'd dare say it's generic GMMTV. They could have done more.
The use of touch is so important. It's shown so many times that Mhok keeps a hand on Day to reassure Day that he's there. It's grounding physically and emotionally. But what about flipping it? Day can touch Mhok to "see" him, learn about him. This scene is the fullest that Day has permission to touch Mhok and they just stand there and kiss. Yes, there are hands on the back and hips, but again that's generic.
Why not let Day explore? He knows Mhok doesn't have a shirt on, standing right there in front of him, instead of the last time this happened where Day had no idea and accidentally grabbed at Mhok. Why not parallel that scene? Day slowly raising a hand and feeling out Mhok, Mhok guiding Day's hands over him? Mhok reveling in Day slowly exploring?
And then more of Day touching Mhok's face as they kiss in bed? Or hints of Day touching other places?
I'm just saying. There could have been more.

I truly loved the moment when Chalothon told Phaya, "I will take him away from you. Even if he has to die." Because this perfectly portrays the haughty omniscience of a god. So what if he has to kill Tharn in this life to keep them apart, Chalothon will simply wait for Wansarut's next incarnation and try again. As an immortal being, he has all the time in the universe on his hands. That's just so... creepy 😱

I do not believe in the institution of marriage, I never want kids, and I'm only showing up for the queers, but
I SWEAR TO GOD!
I need them to be together so badly that I'm not even ashamed of how hard I'm rooting for the heterosexuals in a queer love story.
Like good for Mork and Day and their cute little color-coded love story, but I'm here for these future parents taking pictures and videos of their kids.
MARRY YOUR FUTURE WIFE AND THE MOTHER OF YOUR CHILDREN, NIGHT!
RIGHT NOW!
They are gonna make such good parents.
Thanks, Last Twilight, for giving the straights their proper love story.
I'm blaming this on my bisexuality.
Thailand, you better legalize marriage equality so all my couples can thrive and Mork can take care of his HUSBAND properly, goddamnit.

And a black earring in my left ear, I always wear it.
It's the touch and the tenderness and the exploration and the way the touch comes so naturally to them and the little smiles and the tiny tremble of the fingers...

I need Day and Mork to be sitting so so close to each other. Preferably with Day on Mork somehow. And Day using his hands and fingertips to slowly map out every feature of Mork's face.
I NEVER wanted a GMMtv show to have a love scene (Moonlight Chicken/The eighth sense style) like I do for Last Twilight. WHO AM I ??!!!!

How about a Thai remake of Noah's Arc? It would be in the same vein as Only Friends but aged up and with adult problems:
The young innocent one dating the closet gay;
The happily, long-term "monogamous" couple;
The uptight one with a new husband and daughter;
And the one relationship-phobic one
