Fun Fact

Pressing J while looking at a Tumblr blog or home feed will scroll up on the page, pressing K will scroll down. This is helpful considering a lot of the Tumblrs feature infinite scrolling.

now that I can no longer scour bookstores, my pile of unread books has been shrinking for probably the first time in my memory

I’m rereading Eragon right now. It was my favourite book when I was younger and it essentially got me interested in fantasy literature. But it has been so long ago that I don’t remember a thing that happened.

They introduced Murtagh a couple of chapters ago and I don’t remember that character At All but I’m totally digging the chemistry he has with Eragon so I go to AO3 to see if there’s any fics…. and this is how I find out they’re siblings

Jompbpc June 3: LGBTQIA+ Pride

Here are 10 of my favourite queer books that I would highly recommend to everyone. This month I’m planning to order in more lesbian and wlw fiction to fill out that bracket. I haven’t seen many that are as popular and I would love recommendations.

It’s eighty degrees out, the Broadway Stage Management Symposiums is playing on my laptop in the background, and I am reading an old favorite.

I finished the original Dune series this month, unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend reading past the original trilogy

The sea is emotion incarnate. It loves, hates, and weeps. It defies all attempts to capture it with words and rejects all shackles. No matter what you say about it, there is always that which you can’t.

So glad I made the Tiffany Aching series my first foray into Discworld. These books are delightful.

“Beekeepers are careful to tell their bees everything important that concerns the family and household–births, marriages, deaths, a new set of curtains, and suchlike. But that’s not superstition, just the practical observation that if you don’t tell them, they will fly indoors to find out for themselves.”
