MAGNET FISHING IS THE BEST HOBBY EVER!

My reasons:

#1.) The chance of finding historical artifacts or evidence resulting in a criminal conviction and justice for the victims.

#2.) Everyone can participate, no matter the age or the disability. Where there is a will there is a way. As a result you meet a lot of neat people.

#3.) It's an affordable hobby. Amazon is selling kits $30 dollars and up. Plus most of this stuff you can get at your local hardware store.

#4.) It's therapeutic in so many ways. For example you definitely get your exercise from walking and carrying your gear place-to-place. The excitement of being in a new place and the possibilities of what you can find are a pretty good distractions from life's problems.

#5.) As of writing this excluding the removal of historical artifacts and private property, there are no laws in the USA preventing you from magnet fishing wherever there is a body of water.

Defend their self-esteem, confidence, and worth based on developing their talents and competence.

Focus education on obtaining jobs after high school (college is not for everyone and that's okay).

Congratulations both behaviors have become a form of anti-protest-protest.

No seriously!

The Kneelers - are protesting percieved anecdotal injustices in America. (I ascribe them as anecdotal because the jury is still out on the interpretation of certain statistics like police violence, economic disparity etc.)

The Non-Kneelers -are protesting The Kneelers for kneeling during a patriotic ceremony that to their view honors those that paid the ultimate price for the freedoms that we enjoy today. (Or something like that)

HYPOCRISY

*Believes in required vaccines to attend public schools*

*Does not believe in wearing a mask and encourages their child to do likewise*

Dear Parents

IF YOUR CHILD ATTENDS PUBLIC SCHOOL, THEY WILL HAVE TO WEAR A MASK IRREGARDLESS OF YOUR BELIEFS.

Do you remember how frustrating it was to teach them a new skill, participate in a new activity or get them to try a new food group? Please save you and their teachers the same trouble by training your kids to wear a mask, and to communicate through a mask at home. Do this or expect your child to be sent home prematurely on a regular basis with the possibly of suspension or even expulsion if they are post-elementary.

Lastly keep in mind that there are other parents that believe differently than you. How do you think those kids will react to your child's non-compliance? I sincerely hope that they will not turn violent or even deadly as some adults have in the wake of this pandemic and controversy.

P.S., Yes I am fully aware of the fact that this post has nothing to do with school violence and that capital letters are indicative of yelling. My goal is to spread awareness on this issue and some individuals are hard of hearing.

P.S.S. Yes I am also aware that some localities are ether trying to figure things out or are planning to utilize a hybrid of online and limited classroom time program. The aforementioned principle will still apply in the classroom setting, irregardless of a state mask mandate or lack thereof.

MATH PHOBIA IS REAL

I was in special-ed from first grade till my sophomore year in high school. My instructors in special ed were encouraging and very helpful. As a result I loved the puzzle-like challenge of math. But then everything changed when I had to participate in "normal" math courses.

I experienced great difficulty even after changing courses. My teachers didn't have the patience for me to catch on and would yell at me for being slow. I grew to fear, dread and even hate math in all it's forms except for money and personal finances.

Now in my 20s and trying to prepare for the GRE I still feel this way. Am I alone?
