I know you probably get these asks a lot, but I've really been trying to try drawing comic pages. I really admire how free and flowing your style is! I've seen your little tutorials and tips and idk what's wrong but I just can't seem to wrap my head around panel composition? Like I do wonderful painting comps, but I can't seem to break out. Do you have any resources or help to get started?

writing should be fun.

make oc playlists. spend hours on moodboards that have no purpose. write self-indulgent fluff that’s never going to be published. scribble three lines of poetry in the back of your history notebook. draw fanart of your own characters. write stupid dialogue that your publishers might hate. start new wips that you might never finish but write those three chapters that make you happy because if you don’t write them, who else will?

writing shouldn’t always be about “will publishers like this” or “i have to reach this word count” or “how do i get the most likes”.

Today I was thinking about my progress as a person and as a student. And I’ve realized it hasn’t been easy. I don’t think things in life are supposed to be easy. Life is a challenge itself and we’re always trying our best to succeed. Most of the time, our motivation is the career we are pursuing and the things we’d like to do in the future. And we constantly think about our role models and the people who inspire us. And I came to the conclusion that we should be our own inspiration. After everything we’ve been through, the good, the bad, the success, the failure, the ups and downs... We should be proud of ourselves. ❀

today I remembered you

today I remembered how you were the one I put my eyes on since the first day, the one my eyes would get effortlessly dragged to every time they weren’t focusing on the board. the tension was always there and I didn’t mind if I created all by myself bc mostly my eyes were just glad they had some place to go to rest, to laugh, to sigh warmly... except there were moments my eyes didn’t seem to be alone on their daydream mirage. little by little they got stared back, little by little the warmth sigh would brush my eyelashes for a change, little by little... I remembered - more strongly - the never ending anxiety around you and your expertise on looking so fine standing while leaning back on a table... Also, I remembered your amusement when hearing my unfoundable explanations all the times I was clearly wrong - mind you, not in a patronising or mocking way but in an interesting, almost hypnotised way - as if at any moment I would convince you that I was worth deny science for.

I just finished ‘Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’ and I must talk about the scene when Molly starts to cry over Bill saying how tragic it was because he was going to get married and stuff... After this, Fleur first thought was that Molly implied that HE wasn’t going to love her anymore due to his new injuries. I mean, she didn’t even consider that Molly was talking about her not loving him. 

She was so deeply, head over hills and completely in love with him that not loving him was just not an option.

Is it just me or are in home libraries like the dreamiest thing? A little cozy room lined with shelves, full of books of all shape and color that you’ve collected over the years, with a big round window in an alcove where you can sit and sip some tea and thumb through your favorite novel and listen to the rain pattering against the glass. Thats the life
