ruby: chaotic 4.0. lives off caffeine, sugar, and spite. always waits until the last second, 99% of what she’s assigned is never turned in, somehow still gets amazing grades on tests and straight a’s at the end of every quarter.
weiss: immaculate grades and she works hard for them. stays up late studying obscure concepts that won’t be on the test “just in case.” needs cuddles from ruby to calm down and take a break.
blake: does her homework as assigned, no more, no less. misses an assignment every now and then, but never anything too bad. never goes the extra mile for work unless the subject interests her. grades are always nice and neat.
yang: inventor of the phrase “c’s get fucken degrees.” she’s very intelligent, of course, but you wouldn’t think that from her grades. passes neatly every quarter, though, to the bewilderment of everyone who’s seen her grades.
Yang: My friend thinks you’re really cute.
Blake: Really? Who?
Yang: Me. I’m the friend. Date me
The weird thing about a mid-season hiatus is I spend all break looking at this wonderful RWBY fanart of all the characters with blood and melanin and then I’m gonna sit down for the new episode and get my retinas blasted out by how pale the girls are akskdkd
Weiss: What are you doing?
Whitley: I’m confronting the person who ruined my life.
Weiss: You’re yelling at a mirror.
do any of u lovely ppl play bandori bc im terrible at this game and i need help
I just thought about how Blake probably hasn't celebrated her birthday in years because she had her so many years of her life taken from her by Adam and I made myself sad
All the more reason to bury this cat in love and affection! We’ll start by giving her Yang covered head to toe in gift wrap. She’ll never guess what it is.
Recovering from creative burnout, but here’s a Weiss doodle!
Could I request a penny? 🥺👉👈
how could i resist the angel herself???
Happy birthday Blake!!
to my fav catgirl that has given me so much happiness over the years 🥰🥺💖
I’m sure there’s some kind of benefit to objective criticism, but lets be real, the only reason the concept has gotten popular in the past few years are because of very online people who cannot handle not being listened to. So they dress up their interpretation as ‘objectively correct’ in order to dismiss anyone who doesn’t hold the same views. Most of the time you see this in right-leaning types, but it’s honestly cropped up across all backgrounds.
When did ‘think critically about the media you enjoy’ turn into ‘come to the same negative opinion that I did’? It’s a self-centered approach instead of doing the mature thing and accepting that people have different tastes and values. People aren’t required to put five cents in the problematic jar and recite something’s failings every single time they enjoy it. Thinking critically does not inherently mean to find something negative either. You can and often will end up finding deeper love for parts you enjoyed when you ask why you enjoyed it.
TL;DR Objectivity does not exist in creative media (or any context tbh). If you actually value critical thinking, you have to accept that people will come to different conclusions than you and that’s okay. It’s a good thing.
I was on a roll and decided to make a page of drawings for Blake’s Vacuo look I designed. (Feat. some flirty bees)
