And speaking of pride flags.
There are a lot of pride flags.
I had this idea that I'd get a bunch of flags for a project. Quickly estimated the price and it was doable.
Then I realized that there are at least twice as many flags as I'd originally included in the figure. Not because I forgot a bunch, but because somehow I just didn't include them in the estimate.

I was just rooting around in my aro and ace swag collection because tomorrow is the first in person regular Seatle Aros & Aces meetup in four years and I needed to get the free swag bag back in order.
I was looking for some aromantic flags.
They were not in the first box of flags I looked in.
They were not in the second box of flags I looked in.
There was one in the third box of flags I looked in.
The rest were in the fourth box of flags I looked in.
I have a very large collection of aro and ace swag.
And it is very disorganized.

Preparing for locale Ace Meetup in Aalborg, Denmark.
This Monday, Marts 4th from 4pm to 6pm, in Buens Bogcafe.
I'll be there to hang out with any who shows up just to chill. And to represent the Aalborg branch of @aseksuelledk, the group for Asexuals in Denmark.
See ya!

I keep seeing these pencils on my counter and I think they're PixyStix. But they're not and I'm disappointed.

The headline of this article sounds like a classic tale of amatonormativity, but when you actually read the article, the whole thing gives off strong aro vibes, kinda like:
What is this "love" thing, anyway? Does it have a flavor? I must apply science and data analysis to learn more.

I think I'll grab a few as a test to see how they work out.
Okay, so what about a
Pride Flag Forest?

If anyone was curious, it's because this programming language has weird quirks that I forgot about, wherein some actions are considered regular actions, while others are "life" actions. "Give" and "Feed" are considered "life" actions, so it didn't think I had told it what to do when the player gives the anaconda the buns.
Working on a game (that won't be released publicly) and there's a bug. I have to figure out why my anaconda don't want none, even though it was programmed to.
The Giant Anaconda doesn't seem interested.

Where is the nationwide Aro and Ace Pride Coop, so we can bulk order things like "Aro-mint-ics" and "Asexual-tea" and posters and what not and get into the quantities where the volume pricing discounts really kick in and the overhead of setup fees and shipping become a tiny fraction of the overall cost? Then the coop can batch together different things and send out pride packs to all the member groups.

And yeah, people don't buy books anymore either, but that shelf unit could've held a bunch of them Funky Pop things you kids dig these days.
I miss physical media. You kids these days might not believe it, but back in my day, we used to be able to walk into a store and buy a movie or video game or piece of music that we liked on a permanent plastic disc. And then it was ours forever, we didn't have to worry about companies losing the rights to something or taking down an old storefront or disappearing things to the tax writeoff hole.
And you're definitely not going to believe this part, but if I wanted a friend to watch, say, Run Lola Run, or a family member to play Sly Cooper 2: Band Of Thieves, I could just hand this plastic thing to them and they could take it home and just use it.
If you think that's wild, just wait until I tell you about the stuff we used to have on silicon chips or magnetic film...

And there's other side effects you might not think of. Ikea used to sell these narrow shelves that were designed for CD collections. Now that people don't buy CDs, they don't sell these shelves anymore. I have a wall that's 2¾ Billys wide, and I was looking to put up some shelves. I can get two full size Billys and one half-width just fine, but there's still that last quarter that will have to go unused. Those CD shelves were the perfect width for that, and could hold about 6-7 paperbacks across. Times 9 or so shelves in the unit, that's ~60 books that will need to find somewhere else to live.
