This is also related to my fanfic. I haven't written out the scene yet, but this is supposed to be Danny's first flight.

And in the early stages, instead of his hazmat suit, Danny starts off going ghost with what he's wearing when he wakes up from the coma. He'll adapt his ghost outfit as he needs to in time. Eventually winds up in something close-ish to his suit. But he keeps this outfit for a few years, first.

So, human, ghost first stage, ghost final stage, final stage design not final. Probably gonna redo it.

I overhauled Vlad's design, too. Vlad has two stages. Stage one is polite and vengeful.

Stage two is homicidal gargoyle. The ruby clasps just kind of happened.

These are for a Danny Phantom fanfic I'm currently writing.

It's up on ao3 already, titled Kindred Spirits, if anyone is feeling bored.

I initially wanted to have Danny interact with all three of the Fates, but I couldn't find a way to work them all in without it being clunky. So I just used the Spinner.

I actually started with Danny, first. The Fates came in later, and I scribbled out the Spinner while at work, for about a week. It took less than five minutes to settle on the Inexorable being themed after a Death's Head Moth, the allotter took a while. I knew I wanted to draw her out, didn't know what I wanted her to look like. But I didn't want something that was purely human. And I've decided Vlad's cat is a maine coon.

There's other little pieces of artwork, too, they're just not quite finished yet. I wanted Danny's first foray as a halfa to be simple. Kicked the hazmat suit in favor of a loose t-shirt and leggings for the beginning, and figure that as he progresses, he'll adjust his form as need be.

I've actually got a good chunk of the fic written, chapter 3 was supposed to be two chapters, but the second part just fit better on the same page. So instead of 3 and 4, i have just 3, and now i have to write a new chapter 4. Chapters 5 through 9 are done, go fig. It was supposed to be a short piece, but it just kinda got out of hand. Now its a full storyline. I always find a way to over complicate it. Oy.

I'm just glad that there are programs in development to help protect individual artists. It makes me feel a little more hopeful. AI generated art trained and raised like a parasite on the backs of real people has worried me to the point where I've stripped my original works from Tumblr. I do maintain a DeviantArt account, but I've set my original pieces so that they can't be downloaded. But I know better, and all it would take is a screenshot. Maybe I just like lying to myself for small spans of time so I can getting through the days. I don't mind putting my fan art out. It's fan art. But one of my biggest fears is actually losing my characters and style to big companies. To the point where I'm constantly staring at all of the 2d and 3d animated works on Netflix, checking each line and detail, the shapes of eyes, hair, clothing style, accessories, even skin markings, just to make sure someone wasn't sitting at a desk going, "That looks nice. Hey, I can use that!" and then everything I've made is gone, and I can't fight it. Yes, I admit that this is an ABSURDLY extreme reaction. But that's how little I actually trust people, and that's how scared I am of my characters being taken away from me.

My dad has a saying; I wouldn't trust the world at smoking gunpoint.

So a free tool called GLAZE has been developed that allows artists to cloak their artwork so it can't be mimicked by AI art tools.

AI art bros are big mad about it.

New AU idea! I saw Justice League Dark, loved it. Even if batman just kind of stood off to the side and grumbled disapprovingly while Constantine did his thing. But what if Gotham is overrun with ghosts, it's loaded with death anyway, and the league needs help, and Constantine summons someone qualified, and the first thing Danny sees after being ripped out of Amity Park mid-fight is Black Orchid? And maybe toss in Sam too, lets say she gets to keep her plant powers after Overgrowth, and she might actually get along with Black Orchid? Eh, it's a thought. I think Black Orchid would be confused or fascinated by Danny, as an entity that's stuck between the veils.

Depression

I think I got it. I'm calling it the Moodswing AU.

Danny is a bit of a goth, still a halfa, but in human form he's constantly shifting between his emotions, still trying to come to terms with his partial death. So the color and style of his getup will shift with him. Deep blue for when he's feeling, well, blue, bright and ice blue when he's feeling detached or cold, firey when he's angry, pale blueish green when he's sort of lost in his own head, like the "Whispers" piece. His eyes will change with him. The rate of wafting flow in his hair will change, too. I figure in this deep blue state here, it flows very, very slowly. Almost molasses. I'm thinking green for envy, pink for shy, deep red for lust, yellow for nervousness or fear, purple is more light-hearted and maybe even peppy moods, white for peaceful, content moments.

If he shifts from white to that pale bluish green "Whispers" stage, Sam and Tucker will have a hard time pulling him out of it, as he's literally just floating there, stuck in his head and conversing with thoughts and memories and personal demons, and all anyone hears is whispering and muttering. It's very hard for Danny to hear the outside world like that. So, Tucker will need an airhorn and a megaphone to literally scare him out of his mind.

Oh, who am I kidding? I love the red. I think I might do as many colors as I can! The socks are just so cozy to draw! The gloves were a challenge, though. Gotta work on that. I figure I'll tinker with Danny's eye color to match the theme.

Maybe I'll do one in red, next! By the time I realized his hair was the wrong color, it was already too far in. So, whoops. Although, I suppose it could still work if the black portions of the outfit turned white when he changes forms. That would render his logo in black. Maybe do that before the red. But I like playing with the glowy scars and whispy hair too much.

Murder Drones AU: While the Fentons are collaborating with JCJenson in SPAAAAACE, Danny is killed in an accident. In a twisted attempt to bring him back, the Fentons borrow(steal) drone tech from JCJenson to build a replacement. The drone is infused with Danny's DNA. The problems begin when it becomes self aware...and slowly starts offing memebers of JCJenson. so they launch it into space with the others to contain it. Because space is Earth's trash dump.

Dug this relic out of my gallery and touched it up. I think as a witcher, Danny might have a blend of amber and green. And as he would be half dead, he probably wouldn't take too many contracts. I figure he's a previously dead witcher unintentionally raised by a witch and just wanders through the world looking for someone who can just put him out of his misery. Maybe crash at Kaer Morhen and sleep literally for months.
