Though she's stumbling over her word feels like a clumsy plea and one that's probably fallen on indifferent ears, Blaire's just hoping she can say atleast one thing that'll keep her alive.

The scent of blood and viscera followed by a third scent that wasn’t familiar to him had the wolf slightly uneasy. He had went out for a nice long run and discovered a possible intruder on his packs hunting grounds. A rival shifter from another pack could prove to be dangerous if they were looking for a challenge.

He sneaks around through the shadowed woods, trying not to make a sound and he was doing well until Julian’s steps become a bit too quick, causing him to break a branch underneath his back paw.

‘Shit’

The human thought echoes through his mind and he freezes for a moment to shake off the stupidity. He has to maintain the facade of an apex predator, an alpha’s mate, the ultimate lycanthrope. Gathering his wits, Julian pushes forward lifting an upper lip to flash his fangs and he bristled his fur.

The werewolf was so close to unleashing a ghastly growl when he stops, perplexed at the others appearance. She wasn’t a wolf and she was definitely not a werecat either. Just what on earth was she and why was she traipsing around on his turf?

The sight of a pitch black wolf seemed to be a stark reminder that this was not her territory. Had she actually been part of a pack perhaps she would have vocalized or made some kind of alarm call immediately.

It was her turn to gather herself a bit,ears still high on alert, tail slowly raising while letting out a low rumbling before a slowed whoop. Not trying to be aggressively necessarily but to show him that she’s not beyond fighting back if he starts something. 

Though if she could get out of this with only a few cuts and bruises, it’s still a win after all her stomach’s full and that’s what really matters right now. However, the fact that he’s a wolf, well the lingering question is: where’s the rest of his pack?
