Lincoln Ridge Farms Convoy OH Family Fall Adventure Pig Race Haunted Barn

In 2020 our adventure family went with friends to Lincoln Ridge Farms in Convoy Ohio to enjoy their pumpkin patch, haunted barn, pig race, and fall family fun games.  It was a great time enjoying the autumn leaves and farm setting. My First Ice Fishing Catch - Ice Fishing For Largemouth Bass

Reece's first fish caught through the ice while ice fishing was a great largemouth bass!  The thrill of hooking into something big below the ice and having the surprise as it comes up to the hole is something that he will never forget.  Ice fishing with behemoths and tungsten jigs worked well for catching this nice-sized largemouth bass! #reecelifedadlife #icefishing #bassfishing

Kayak River Bass Fishing! Smallmouth Bass White Bass and Crappie!!

Michael went kayak river bass fishing in October on the salamonie river in Huntington County Indiana.  Caught Smallmouth Bass, White Bass, and Crappie while kayak river bass fishing.  Fall smallmouth fishing in the clear Salamonie River is top-notch.  An added bonus of catching greater white bass and crappie makes kayak river bass fishing Indiana something to look forward to every year!  Kayak fishing plus lots of fish is a big reason why I do what I do :) Don't miss this video from Reece Life Dad Life as well as the next trip we take where we catch tons of crappie and other great fish!!!

Smallmouth Bass and Crappie Fishing - Salamonie Reservoir Tailwaters

Reece and Dad went out to catch smallmouth bass and crappie during summer 2020.  Caught a great tail dancing smallmouth bass and several crappies while fishing the tailwaters below the Salamonie Reservoir Tailwaters.  Smallmouth bass and crappie are some of our favorite fish to catch.  We love to fish for smallmouth bass and crappie with live bait, especially in the tailwaters of the Salamonie Reservoir Tailwaters!

Snow Day Sledding Hill Part 2 - Harpers First Sledding Adventure

Stuck Waders - Shore Line Fishing Fail - The Big Story

Dad life experienced the ultimate scare of being possibly stranded in deep thick mud while fishing from shore at the Salamonie Reservoir.  This was a huge shoreline fishing fail that will go down in infamy.  While fishing the shallow waters of the Salamonie River I became stuck up to my knees in mud and was not able to escape.  This lead to me having to crawl on my hands and knees out of my waders until I got to somewhat solid ground.  Then in just my socks hike back to my car.  It was a lesson in survival that everyone who enjoys fishing alone deep in nature should learn.  #ReeceLifeDadLife​ #StuckWaders​ #FishingFail​

Exploring Rivers and Riverside in Indiana Catching Crawfish Frogs, Largemouth Bass, and Bridges

Reece and I were exploring the riverside on the Wabash River in Indiana catching crawfish.  Exploring rivers is a lot of fun especially when your finding crawfish, frogs, and largemouth bass.  We started on the Rock Creek in Wells County Indiana.  Then ended up on the Wabash River in Huntington County Indiana as well as the Huntington Reservoir (J. Edwards Rousch Lake).  We suggest exploring your local riversides and creeks to see if you can find crawfish, frogs, and largemouth bass.  The Wabash River in Indiana is a good place to start.

Small River Kayaking How To - Sundolphin Kayak & Vibe Paddle Review - Small River How-To

This winter dad life took out his sundolphin kayak and new vibe paddle for review to head down a small river.  I wanted to try out the new vibe paddle to see how it performed compared with my paddle that came with the sundolphin kayak.  We got to see the mystery car that is hanging over the edge of one of the high bluffs of the salamonie river in northern Indiana.  You never know what mysteries you will find while kayaking. Finding Monarch Caterpillars in Indiana - Identifying Milkweed - Lancaster Park Bluffton, Indiana

Reece and Dad went to two locations near Bluffton, Indiana to find some monarch caterpillars to complete a Bluffton Harrison Elementry School class project and also to raise some monarch caterpillars at our home. We were able to find several monarch caterpillars on milkweed plants at Lancaster Park in Bluffton, Indiana.  We also got to see a historic log building at the park that used to be the site of the old Lancaster Elementry School.  We also got to see several adult monarch butterflies, aphids, Japanese beetles, fuzzy caterpillars, and a couple mystery bugs.  We ended our adventure climbing and running down the sledding hill at Lancaster Park.  All in all, it was a super fun day and something that you can do with your family for a fun biology project at the beginning of the school year.  #ReeceLifeDadLife #Monarch #AdventureFamily

Reece and Dad Brown County State Park Indiana Fall Break 2020 - Trail 6 - Strahl Lake - Part 4 of 5

The 4th part of our Brown County State Park adventure took us around Strahl Lake on trail 6.  This was a great trail similar to the trail around Ogle Lake.  We had fun traversing the terrain and seeing the wonderful fall colors while circling this beautiful lake.  Brown County State Park did not disappoint and we will be going back soon :)

Reece and Dad Brown County State Park Indiana Fall Break 2020 - Indoor Water Park

Part of our Fall break trip to Brown County State Park for Fall Break in 2020 was the total enjoyment of the Abe Martin Lodge's indoor water park.  This a great water park and you get free access with a room rental.  This was perfect for Reece and I.  We enjoyed the water slide as well as the lazy river.  Also how cool was that dump bucket!!! #ReeceLifeDadLife

Reece and Dad Brown County State Park Indiana Fall Break 2020 - Trail 1 - Part 1 of 5

This fall we took a couple day trip to the famous Brown County State Park in Southern Indiana in the midst of the beautiful leaf change.  We had a great time and it began almost as soon as we got there with our hike along Trail 1 through the beautiful woods and hills of the park.  We got to see horses on the trail below us and cross some cool bridges.  There was so much great nature along the trail that it was the beginning of a great trip for us.  Toon in to see all the parts of this series.
