I'm getting a little nostalgic about this, so here's a quick now+then with the earliest art of Kaz vs the most recent art of her and Lucy.

These are the main two characters in my novel I Met a Girl in the Graveyard, which is currently in its editing stages and being posted on ao3. It's really fun to realize just how little has changed visually and tonally from the start, and how I've grown as an artist and a writer in the three and a half years since I started the project!

Yet another Lore Olympus fanart, playing with different textures and colors, and trying to get out of my comfort zone with color schemes. I played with giving her thorny vein patterns in her skin, but ultimately decided just to give her limbs a gradient reminiscent of the gloves she wears in the actual comic.

Here's what I've been up to outside of tumblr the past two weeks! As many of you know I've been quiet here for a few months. Outside of an animation I'm doing for a charity, I've been working with someone who wants to make a children's book about historical figures who overcame adversity. We've gotten pretty far with the Niel Armstrong page, and I just submitted the concepts for a few other figures. I hope you like them!

The finished version of this piece. I can't get the idea out of my head with Kaz and Lucy meeting in their dreams, though Lucy is never fully corporeal even in that world.

I really pushed myself to do a softer/pastel color scheme than my usual work. I'm not sure if I'll be able to recreate anything like this again, but I'm so proud of how it came out!
