dazai was born today.

@queensconquest​ asked: "Mackerel." Chuuya was rather certain Dazai would probably have already guessed he'd be waiting here, but that wasn't the point. A gloved hand rubbed the back of his neck for a second before he held out a wrapped present in offering as he cleared his throat. "....Happy Birthday."

     Feign disappointment paints across his features at first glance, and he approaches the sight with a complaint. “ Hnnnnnnnnnng... You’re not a beautiful woman. ” His tone holds its usual mocking jest, but his eyes turn curious when he catches the gift in Chuuya’s hand. Before Chuuya can even consider taking it back after Dazai’s remark, Dazai snatches it.

     A nimble, bandaged hand raises it above his head as his eyes grow more inquisitive. “ Ne, Chuuya. What did you get me to make up for it? ” He asks, shaking the box a touch more aggressively than is usually advised. “ It’s not going to explode, is it? ” He teases, proceeding to lean over the mafioso. If anything’s going to explode, it’s probably Chuuya’s temper and patience at this point.

     But has he really done enough to earn a place at the forefront of her mind?           Maybe if she’s angry at him — again.

     “ ‘m not really sure what you mean by that... ” He admits rather hesitantly. Despite his usual radiant confidence, something about him appears rather small. Yukino has a way of bringing out that side of him. “ But you’ve been on my mind too recently. ” Another clumsy statement that sounds more rushed than he intends. “ I wanted to apologize about everythin’ that’s been going on with you and the guild — with me. Y’have a place here, and I don’t want you to ever have to worry about your Mark again. ”

Adjusting his scarf, Lawless smirks towards her and shrugs. One thing he’s learned about Deb is that she always has an agenda. Of course, he doesn’t seem to mind. 

     “ Lemme guess. You wanna borrow me for something. What is it this time? ” His voice holds evident jest despite how the words might sound.
