psycho - katsuki bakugo

bakugo was always frustrated when sakura beat him at everything. whether it be academically, or on the battlefield, she was just better.

this could be seen during combat practice. 

after only fifteen seconds of fighting, sakura had bakugo pinned to the ground by the neck, bakugo with a scarlet face.

sakura sighed. “nice job, you really put up a fight this time!” she beamed.

it wasn’t condescendingly, either. she was just too nice. bakugo hated it. but loved it. he didn’t know. he was just confused. he’d always disliked everyone, but this girl; there was just something. she was stronger than him, which gave him even more reason to hate her, but he just couldn’t. 

“jesus, you psycho. slamming me to the ground like that was messed up,” he said, dusting off his hands. 

“i did what i had to do,” she joked as she walked off to meet her other friends.

bakugo just watched in adoration.

“you like her, huh?” kirishima said, nudging his shoulder.

“shut up, i’ll kill you.”

“spin.” katsuki bakugo

the citizens ran frantically throughout the entire area of destruction. the villian, lodge, had been going on a rampage. throughout her reign of terror, she’d taken multiple pro heroes hostage, including sana’s old friend, uraraka.

this sparked a different sense of protection for sana. when she was protecting citizens, she felt as if she was protecting a more helpless being. now, she knew that even uraraka’s strong power couldn’t stop lodge.

now, sana and bakugo stood before the cocky woman, who’d been smiling flirtatiously at bakugo. of course, this made sana a bit jealous, but there wasn’t much she could do about it.

besides punch that smile off of her face.

sana and bakugo leaped towards the woman, who still hadn’t moved. she stood there checking her nails, while bakugo shot explosions at her rapidly.

sana thought about lodge’s lack of fear of the top two heroes. 

lodge’s quirk must be a sort of shield, sana thought. it had to be. bakugo’s rapid explosions seemed to not faze her. this was obviously frustrating for bakugo, who’d grown used to taking out enemies without much effort.

sana, on the other hand, landed after the leap she took, and stared at the back of lodge’s head. lodge still remained in the same position as she did before. bakugo landed also, right next to his partner.

“why aren’t any of my explosions landing?” bakugo asked, irritated.

“i don’t know. her quirk must be a shield, or something. or it might be a decoy.”

bakugo clenched his fist in frustration. sana saw that he was going to attack again, and she put her hand in front of him to signal that he shouldn’t. 

“well, isn’t this delightful. the two strongest heroes really fell for a decoy?” the voice sighed. “if i’m going to be honest, i saw expected more action. 

the pair turned around to find yet another woman leaning on a cane.

“kind of embarrasing, wouldn’t you say?”

out of nowhere, the woman leaped, but melted into mud, and her bodily remains layed on the dirt as an unattractive gray goop. 

the ‘decoy’ that was behind them laughed hysterically again. 

“jesus, you guys are really morons.” 

the hooded woman took off her hood to reveal a dirt mound that was styled into an afro on her head.

“that’s why i’m not worried about you guys. we’re fighting in my territory. i can control earth in any way, shape, or form. you guys really are amateurs, aren’t you?”

“oh!” she giggled. “i almost forgot. did you not notice that the man was turned around, and looked very dirty?”

“JUMP!” bakugo yelled as lodge raised the dirt to form a tsunami-like dirt clump. this forced bakugo and sana to try to get to the other side of the battlefield. 

bakugo picked her up and used his explosions to transport the two of them to the other side of the battlefield. 

“COWARDS. are you seriously that afraid to face me?!” lodge yelled.

the two leaped into the building, going as high as they could, using the stairs. 

“you’re going to have to do it.” bakugo said.

“bakugo, you know i can-” 

“you have to. do you see them?” he said as he signaled to all of the people watching them with glossy eyes.

sana sighed, and stood up.

“three,”

“two,”

“one,”

“spin.”

sana span at speeds unimaginable to man. she jumped off of the building, and made sure she made the wind strong enough to hurt lodge, but weak enough not to hurt civilians. 

bakugo watched her with a smile on his face.

“that’s my girl.”

the woman, lodge, was immediately knocked out, and all of the civilians began to cheer.

twenty minutes later

“good job, partner,” sana said, nudging bakugo’s shoulder.

“well, you were the one who finished her off,”

“and you were the one who got uraraka,” she argued.

“yeah, yeah, whatever.

sana flipped her hair jokingly, receiving a laugh from bakugo. 

he grabbed her hand in adoration, and looked out over the shining city lights.
