Game Informer’s next issue is focused on Sword & Shield and to celebrate, they’ve been allowed to release various bits of information about the upcoming games, Pokémon Sword & Shield.
They have revealed reveals that autosave is in Pokémon Sword & Shield, but it can be turned off if you do so wish.
They also confirm that HMs do not return in the game.
Pokémon cut from Sword and Shield’s National Pokédex will return in the future.

They also reveal that EXP Share is automatic, without the use of an item in Pokémon Sword & Shield. It’s currently unclear if it will be able to be turned off.
The interview implies more aspects of a Pokémon, previously left to breeding (hinted as “a personality parameter”) will be changeable in Pokémon Sword & Shield
There will be 18 Gyms in Pokémon Sword and Shield, spread across a minor league and a major league.
Update (October 3rd, 2019): Game Informer have received a follow up from their original article about the Gym statement reported on October 1st. With this, they state that they were told that there will be a similar amount of gyms to battle as prior games, but some do change between version as seen with Bea’s Fighting-type Gym in Sword and Allister’s Ghost-type Gym in Shield. In the game’s lore, however, there are 18 across the leagues.

very heavily tied into my lopmon oc lark, they’re from a…scenario where in between lark dying and being reborn, the portion of her data that allows her to evolve into chaosdukemon and megidramon breaks away and ends up forming into an entirely new individual
since they originated from lark’s data, they have her digimoji “tattoo” visibly etched somehwere on their person in all stages starting at baby II level
