Another super-big battle, initially conceived as a vicious skewering of my most hated book that I ever had to read in school but ultimately ending up as more of a straight parody, which may be for the better anyway.

Plus, it’s far from all just about Orwell or even Orwell and one other source, as I also got to incorporate:

• A familiar (half-obscured) face making his triumphant comeback.

• A great literary antihero for whom 1984 would have been much better if it had included someone similar.

• A character from one of the few books taught in school that I actually kind of LIKE, a perfect sympathetic counterpart to the pure evil of Big Brother and, the more I think about it, possibly one of my favorite antagonists ever.

Lastly: Gotta love that thumbnail.

As my first battle to ostensibly give a property its SECOND title representation in Moleman’s Epic Rap Battles, of course there had to be a twist to this one, per my self-imposed rule of introducing at least two new intellectual property representations in each battle, and especially considering MLP’s overstated presence online. Discord Vs. Sheogorath, A.K.A. Q Vs. Jyggalag, while not exactly a personal favorite of mine, has been quite the hit with audiences as far as my videos go.

My personal love letter to quite possibly my favorite video game franchise of all time, this was the first battle of mine for which I used several new editing and visual techniques, largely out of necessity in this case given the lack of definitive identities for and conventional cutscenes featuring the Fallout characters.

Tina Turner and “Mad Mel Gibson” were included for the sake of making the otherwise-one-sided battle closer to even and less predicable, and I really like how their parts turned out (though, again, I’m obviously rather biased toward liking my own stuff). This video also features the triumphant return of Anna Valenzuela, who here makes her first Moleman’s Epic Rap Battles appearance since Season 1, as well as the debut of fantastic friend Quinn “WrightOnTarget” as the Lone Wanderer.

No, no I couldn't have. You think working with celebrities is something normal people can just do whenever they want?

This clash of alien invaders is by far the highest-rated battle of my first Season… and honestly I’ve never quite understood why; it’s strictly average in my own eyes, and my Zim “impression” is pretty crappy, per how my own performances usually turn out. Of course, though, it’s not as if I’m COMPLAINING about positivity in any case.

Also, in hindsight, Crypto probably won due both to the aforementioned poorness of the opposite delivery, and the fact that he is actually a competent invader and powerfully destructive entity where Zim is… not. Though of course, that’s just looking at it from an in-universe(s) standpoint.
