As has been my tradition, for the last few years, here's another comedy classic, for New Year's Eve! This time, I thought I'd share some Laurel & Hardy, specifically, one of their delightful silent films: "Flying Elephants". Enjoy, and may we all have a Happy New Year!

One of my favorite stories of all time, is Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. It is as timeless as it is timely, in any era, a story of the human condition, and that its never too late to be your best self. Here's a piece I wrote years ago, about the many varied film (and TV) adaptations of the immortal story, including some of my personal favorites! https://retrorevelations.blogspot.com/2015/12/the-many-faces-of-christmas-carol.html

It's that jolly time of year again, and this year, I decided to continue the obscure journey I began in October. So this year, I'm sharing with all of you fine folks, a totally oddball, but charming animated Christmas special from 1977: the Canadian classic, A Cosmic Christmas! Watch in pure holiday wonder, as aliens from a galaxy far, far away, travel to Earth, so that a little boy and his goose, can teach them the meaning of Christmas!
And Happy Holidays to you all!

This season, and night, meant a lot to me growing up. The TV specials, the decorations, the costumes, the fall magic in the air, and of course the candy! Here's a piece I did on my own personal Halloween childhood memories

I've been posting some kind of Halloween special or movie every years more or less since I started my Youtube channel. And while I typically share even older content, this year I thought I'd share a rare 80s gem that I'm willing to bet most people have never even heard of, let alone seen. It's Transylvania Twist, a kookie and actually pretty hilarious horror comedy!

Just in time for Halloween, here's my latest RR article, this time talking about what I consider to be the best of its franchise, and even the best classic First Person Shooter game of all time (outside of Goldeneye deathmatches of course), Doom 64!

For Throwback Thursday, here's a piece I did on one of my favorite actors of all time, and someone FAR more people need to recognize and appreciate, the singular Roddy McDowall. A fantastic actor, with an amazing voice, there was no one else like him.

For Throwback Thursday, here's a piece I did on what I consider to be one of THE top science fiction AND horror films, ever made. The Blob is not only a cinematic masterpiece in its own way, but it was also a highly successful indie film!

For a little Throwback Thursday action, here's a little number I did about underrated actor Nick Adams, and the fantastic (and lesser known) Lovecraft adaptation, "Die, Monster, Die!" (aka The Colour Out of Space). https://retrorevelations.blogspot.com/2018/10/silver-screen-stories-die-monster-die.html

For Throwback Thursday, here is a piece I did on one of my top favorite childhood cartoons, one that is sadly somewhat obscure, even to many people my age. But it's also one of the coolest cartoons of all time. I give you, The Dinosaucers!
