The most heartbreaking moment of BG3 so far was when I added my 4th companion and realized I couldn't have all of my friends with me at the same time. I was the kid who kept all of my many stuffed animals on my bed and had a complicated rotation so no one felt left out, so having to leave people behind in camp was devastating.

Also I'm not great at combat so having more allies would have been great... but that's secondary.

I'm losing my mind over my coworker being the stupidest person on the planet. She's apparently incapable of thinking through anything without asking me first and I'm always the first place she goes with questions rather than, I don't know, Googling it?! She asked me where to find a web app she used to use. I googled the name of it and found it instantly. Told her to do that, then she asked me for the link because "the one she found leads to her account" but she wants it for her students. I didn't even bother explaining that it'll have them log in, I just took a screenshot of my Google search (showing the URL) and sent that which somehow apparently answered her question.

She's always been needy and I've handled it but I had to take a work trip with her this summer and that pushed me over the edge. There's only so many people I can handle 24-7 contact with and she is definitely not one of them.

If there's any character in this world who suffers from literary Ken-ification it's Patroclus. Especially in the zeitgeist of today (thanks tsoa), it's always Achilles AND Patroclus, never just Patroclus. Who is he? Why does he exist? He is Achilles' boyfriend! What's his job? Death! In the sense that he just. Dies. That's just his job now. Death. Death and Achilles' boyfriend. That's it.

I think Din's version of love is undying loyalty. Platonic love, based in respect, admiration, and trust. So like, yeah he was professing his love for Bo, but not romantic love. More like "ride or die" love.

I really just don't interpret any of their scenes romantically. Maybe because of my own feelings/sexuality or my personal interpretations of the characters, or maybe it's because two characters can interact without there being romantic subtext, even when the characters are of the opposite sex. I'm not even totally against them eventually being a couple (or at least I don't think I am), I'm just not convinced that's what they're trying to convey.
