you aren’t the person you used to be. you’re always learning and growing from the mistakes you’ve made in the past, and regretting them is a sign that you’ve changed. having made mistakes doesn’t make you inherently bad or unloveable, what matters is being able to acknowledge when you stumble and then trying to grow from it.
i love finding amazing dialogue in the weirdest places. like-
"You got a couple of them goons down there; they're seeing the bounds of the universe they live in. They're realizing this world has limits to it. And they're coming to terms with it like you did. Except,[...] they're just trying to make the best of it. I gotta say, it’s real real sad what happened to you. You woke up one day and realized the world you know is… limited; and realized you knowing such means you can play with it, tug on the strings a bit. You look out at that world and you think yourself some sort of god, don'tcha, son? Well, are you ready to feel the wrath of a God, kid?”
as a monologue? this goes hard as fuck. very great and has a great payoff at the end. genuinely communicates so much about the character speaking and who they're speaking to. and in the original source material, this moment is absolutely amazing and is a great payoff to a building dynamic throughout the story. i love this dialogue.
this monologue is also from an improv fandub of Until Dawn where most of the cast had 0 clue what the plot of the game was. the scene after is markiplier being cursed w omnipotence.
