hi! i've just found a post of yours about Haikyuu!! Manga and Im loving it 💖💖💖 it was about the magnificent parallel between Hinata/Oikawa/Ushijima/Iwaizumi I would really like to read more of these 🧚🏻 do you have more? have a nice day!
Oohh, I need to make some more, don't I?! Thank you for the kind words! If I get a chance, I'd love to do more in the future! Thanks!!
I realize everyone's already freaked out about Star and Stripe, and that I'm also two weeks behind on this but OH WELL, but I wanted to share my favorite panels from the chapter that weren't centered around Miss America...
First of all, can we all just establish how amazing Spinner is in this chapter? The man is so done with AFO's monologuing BS, and this line just cements it:
I love him.
I have to say, the #dadforone theorists probably enjoyed this chapter -- there's a creepy connection/parallel to AFO talking about his "heaps of friends" from around the globe and Deku having his "heaps of friends" back at UA -- the irony is that despite all his "friends," AFO is hunkered in isolation with only Spinner - who looks none to pleased to be there - and a horde of soulless nomu. Whereas, Izuku is surrounded by those that love him dearly...the contrast, y'all.
But his glee and holding his fists? AFO is a TOTAL dork, and I kind of love him for it. Also, kind of like Deku in that moment of glee, but that could be the #dadforone theorist in me talking...
In any case, I just love - again - how "not having it" Spinner seems with AFO trying to relegate social media roles to him. I don't blame him...AFO, but Toga, too?!
And again, AFO is so dorky. That "spin" pun.... *facepalm*
Spinner looks like he's regretting a lot of decisions right now, and babysitting AFO seems one of them...
Speaking of puns and ridiculousness, Best Jeanist takes his denim-inspired jokes and establishes he's been collecting threads from various historical periods...I mean, everyone deserves a hobby.
Note that Hawks' vocal chords are not "fully" healed, because his word bubbles are still a little ragged around the edges...
And then, yeah, this last shot is pretty EPIC, all things considered:
Shigaraki, waltzing up like a Dune character...
...Star and Stripe, showing up like she just finished filming a Hardees commercial.
A new series I'm doing, "Ten Under Ten," where I list my Top 10 Thoughts about a manga or anime I've read/watched in under 10 minutes. Hope you all enjoy!
Ten Under Ten: Episode 1 - NightS and Another Night by Yoneda Kou
The last few chapters of My Hero Academia have built up a heartfelt letter about friendship, what a "hero" is among the rest of society, and about how we "save" others.
It all accumulated into Chapter 325, and I had to share my favorite panels of Horikoshi greatness...
KOTA IS HERE!
I love that not only is Kota using All Might's catchphrase and mirroring Deku in the waterworks, but he also is literally there. I didn't expect to see Kota showing up, much less being one of the ones to help Deku to his feet, but I'm all for it...
AIZAWA'S NEW LOOK!
BI don't know what I'm more heartbroken over:
* The fact that Aizawa's lost one of his eyes, the source of his quirk
or
* The fact that he's been speaking to Kurogiri, a bio-engineered corpse of his best friend, every day for the last month.
Seriously, he's rocking the facial hair and eye patch, but our UA Teacher needs some serious REST.
BUT STILL...THAT PAYBACK FACE!
I do love, though, the face Aizawa makes when he says it's time for them to payback the League of Villains...and then we see All Might walking away in the rain.
I am worried for All Might, who we last saw falling with his bento (still one of the saddest MHA moments, in my opinion) trying to reach out to Deku. I'm worried about the choices he might make in the future against All For One.
Speaking of choices...we finally have:
ENDEAVOR AND SHOTO!
We can make fun of Endeavor's fashion choices all we want, but I want to praise Horikoshi for just how...old...he makes Endeavor look in that middle panel.
The crow's feet under his eyes, the slightly sunken cheek -- he doesn't look as buff or youthful as he did before the war arc began...or really, before Dabi's reveal.
The fact that Shoto is openly calling him "Father" says a LOT and that he's telling Endeavor they're taking on Dabi together. Endeavor agrees, but I still think when the time comes, he won't be able to face his son. It should be very interesting moving forward...Horikoshi, what do you have in store for us?
I've waited all year to wear this jersey for his Birthday! I can't believe it's been a year since the Haikyuu greatness ended, but Furudate chose to end it on the best day! Oikawa is my favorite, hands down. Him and his worthless pride!
