I found a Cdrama that is basically a xianxia (ancient fantasy china) Hades and Persephone.

Her symbol is the pomegranate. First time she has it is when he gives it to her. His people all died because she left, making him king of a dead and barren land. If she returns it will bloom again.

He's always in winter and cold, there are always blooming flowers in her shots.

It's Hades and Persephone if Hades also carried a grudge against Persephone.

(Dis)Honorable Mention to the "Blood Equals Worth" crowd where a poor girl in love with a rich aristocrat finds out some secret of ancestry makes her his social equal or superior, while someone raised in aristocracy who turns out to have "poor" blood will fall from grace end end up in the gutter. A popular staple of British high literature.

Almost done helping my father with laying laminate in the computer room.

2 more pieces of floor at the back of the closet, then we lay and paint the quarter-round to attach to the baseboards for about half the room, then the OTHER half looks exactly the same as the quarter round, but it is hollow to pass a CAT8 (internet hard-line) to the far side of the room (there are 3 computers that live there).

I'll also be handling the auxiliary stuff this PM as we load everything back in- cleaning the computers, setting them up, getting the cable wraps on, changing the wheels on all 3 computer chairs to rubber ones, etc.

ACOTAR is Cupid and Psyche, 100%. Like, I get why people want to say Hades and Persephone, but it's a link based on the visitation rights. It's 100% Cupid and Psyche, one of the best romances in mythology.

Throne of Glass is LOTR. You can tell Maas used that as the root, and especially if you look at the original Queen of Glass story. I have an ePub and from page 1 you can tell Maas is trying to mirror Tolkien.
