I would like to draw some dramatic moments from the AFTG. But there was so much violence in the trilogy that I’ll probably draw something positive first т.т

When they discover that Andrew and Neil got married, the Foxes all assume it must have been Neil's idea, and that he convinced Andrew to go along with it.

Neither Andrew or Neil ever bother to set the record straight - that it was Andrew who first suggested it.

Neil had never personally cared much for the idea of marriage (what with the disaster that Mary and Nathan's marriage turned out to be), but when Andrew asked the question, he didn't even think twice before saying yes. He loves Andrew, he trusts Andrew. Marrying Andrew could never be scary, because Andrew is Neil's safest place. What could he possibly have to fear, in the face of that?

As for Andrew... For him, to marry Neil was to make the ultimate promise. Not because he has to feel needed or because he wants to force Neil to stay, but because he values promises above almost everything else, and he wants to give that to Neil. Wants to fulfill that promise, to choose Neil, every day for the rest of their lives.

Maybe it was also the sense of stability, that ever-elusive beast he'd longed for in his childhood. Maybe it was the permanence offered through vows and a ring. Maybe, maybe it was both.

It didn't matter. He longed for it all the same.

And at first, Andrew hated himself for wanting that in the first place, but he eventually came to terms with it after years of therapy and healing and "it's always yes with you."

After that, all it took was a simple question and a ring - "Yes, or no?"
