omundson I posted about this role the other day but have more to say, I was honored and proud when rickriordan & danshotzy invited me to be a part of their incredible creation, percyseries , not just because it would mean joining a Dream List of guest stars , like legends, lin_manuel , ratedrcope , meganomullally and the late great, thereallancereddick Just to name a FEW, but also because Hephaestus 🔥⚒️, like myself and 1 in 4 Americans, are disabled * note my Cane, hanging off my cover alls, in the lower left corner of this photo. The incredible props department built it to the same specifications as the one I use in real life, although mine , sadly is not made of gold🧐. There was never any question of whether I should try and hide my disabilities , which I can’t do anyway. They are a part of who I am and I’m beyond grateful to Rick, Dan and #JonSteinberg for giving me the opportunity to play this strong, dignified and thriving character , as many in my community actually are, but you rarely get to see on your screens. #RepresentationMatters #PerformersWithDisabilities 💪🏻this show was made with so much love and is going to knock your socks off. Karen David Previews Diya’s Chaotic Introduction Into LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME World

Karen David has been acting for over two decades—in shows like FEAR THE WALKING DEAD, GALAVANT, and ONCE UPON A TIME, as well as guest arcs on series like CASTLE, CRIMINAL MINDS, and TIMELESS—but Thursday, April 27 marks a new milestone in her career: Her first time on a Dick Wolf series, thanks her guest spot playing Diya on LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME.

“I’ve never done anything in the Dick Wolf universe and the LAW & ORDER universe—I’ve always been a huge fan, too, having watched it growing up,” she tells Give Me My Remote. “My family and my dear friends have also been huge fans of the universe, too. [And] they came to me with this lovely offer to play this role. They said, ‘How do you feel about spending a few weeks with Christopher Meloni?’”

“I said [jokingly], ‘Well, let me think right now. Hm, I think it’s gonna be a very quick yes,'” she recalls with a laugh. “I love the premise and the storyline of the episode. I love that it’s an international storyline, [as well as] filming in New York, which I’ve never done before; I’ve always been to New York for press and on personal trips, but never to actually film. So I was really excited, it’s like all the stars aligned for this. So it was a very quick yes for me.”

The “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” series at Disney+ has added Jay Duplass and Timothy Omundsen in guest star roles, Variety has learned exclusively.

Omundson will play Hephaestus, the god of blacksmiths. “Hephaestus became disabled when he was thrown off Mount Olympus as a babe,” his character description states. “Despite that, his strength is legendary, and his capacity for kindness and mercy sets him apart from his brothers and sisters in the dog-eat-dog world of the gods.”

Mallory Jansen is back on the job in Hallmark Movies & Mysteries new movie, Francesca Quinn, P.I.

Francesca “Frankie” Quinn (Jansen) is a private investigator in St. Benedict, Minnesota who finds herself in the middle of a personal case when her fiancé Carl is murdered. Detective Wyn Rousseau (Dylan Bruce) is assigned to the case…and also happens to be Frankie’s ex. 

The two share a powerful intellect and were once very much in love, but things ended badly. Following their split, Frankie left her forensics job with the police department and became a private investigator. 

She stands back and lets Wyn do his job but, after a week of no progress, Carl’s sister hires her to solve the case. As the one-time couple teams up to unravel a serpentine plot and unmask a sinister killer, the investigation strikes at their hearts.

Francesca Quinn, P.I. debuts tonight, Sunday, September 25 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
